At twelve fifteen, Jiang Nian returned from the cafeteria in a victorious manner.

We’ve got food again, brothers!

Jiang Nian snuck into the convenience store next door and grabbed a big bottle of iced red tea. Drinking soda every day isn’t good for you, but his drinks had a certain probability of being quality checked by Li Hua and Ma Guojun.

Even if he drank sothing disgusting one day, Jiang Nian wouldn’t speak up; if he goes down, they all go down together.

Under the shade of the trees, Jiang Nian took a sip of iced red tea without touching the bottle with his lips.

So conscientious, he’s already beco the number one quality inspector.

He looked down for a mont and saw Zhou Haifei passing by. She was holding a book, seemingly heading towards the grove, and he wondered if she had eaten yet.

Jiang Nian was puzzled, wondering why such a thought popped into his head.

It was too absurd.

Going upstairs and passing by Class Four on the third floor, he found the classroom empty. He didn’t know where Xu Qianqian and Song Xiyun had gone off to,

Thinking carefully, the express delivery ordered yesterday should have so arriving today with next-day delivery.

Xu Qianqian’s phone was ordered as per her father’s command, purely a tool-buying service.

Song Xiyun’s piggy bank, honestly, looked quite nice, he should give it to her when it arrives.

He bought Zhang Ningzhi a little hair clip in passing.

Woah..... What a heartbreaker.

Actually, it wasn’t, just social etiquette.

A pure love campus, haven’t even held hands. Because he has few friends, he pays more attention to social etiquette. Give and take, thats how relationships last.

Joking about mooching off others, good friendships need to be maintained well.

He carried the half bottle of iced red tea upstairs into the classroom, placing it prominently on his desk. Giving gifts as a boy is awkward, with a tendency towards awkwardness, so... self-service iced red tea.

In the classroom, he took out a math review book and began dawdling.

Jiang Nian made a study plan; since the entrance test was relatively easy, if converted to real college entrance exam scores, his score should be around 510.

There’s still seven months until the college entrance exams, with so hard work, he could improve by sixty or seventy points without much issue.

He glanced at the empty desk next to him, Li Hua’s forgotten watch read twelve-thirty.

There were only a few people in the classroom, quiet and tranquil, with large patches of sunlight streaming through the windows.

The warm wind was slightly irritating, with occasional sounds of page-turning and coughing.

Soone in the class always caught a cold, regardless of the season.

The person in the seat by the window was lying on the desk using their phone to read a novel, the brightness turned to the lowest setting.

The seating arrangent looked sothing like this.

In Jiang Nian’s row, he sat in the middle, with a quiet girl nad Huang Fang on his left and Li Hua on his right. In the front row, Zhang Ningzhi sat in front of Li Hua, with two boys on the left.

The middle seat in the front row was occupied by Wu Jungu, a day student, a very clean person.

It’s not that the guy was particularly handso, but from his desk to his clothes, everything was really clean. The guy was pretty honest, not much of a talker, except for the occasional question. His daily routine was studying, finding a little girlfriend from the neighboring class to go ho with during evening self-study.

The person by the window reading novels was Zeng You, a boarding student, indifferent to the outside world, reading novels and playing gas.

Usually scored around the middle to lower range of the class in exams, occasionally above average, with an emperor-like deanor.

These six constituted the sixth group in the class, switching seats weekly, with the whole group moving forward.

Seats within the group could be changed as long as it wasn’t too excessive.

Honestly, Jiang Nian was in the new class for almost two weeks, and hadn’t recognized everyone in the class. The people in his group were recognized, and he was getting along pretty well with those before and after his desk.

Although he was curious about what novel Zeng You was reading, he felt too shy to disturb him as they weren’t very familiar.

So people are naturally smart, playing gas and reading novels, yet still easily scoring over five hundred. In a parallel class, they’d be big shots, incredibly capable.

Zeng You by the curtain seed to have sensed sothing, turning around and giving Jiang Nian a simple smile.

"Jiang Nian, you’ll be happy this afternoon."

"What?" Jiang Nian was a bit confused by his words, unconsciously spinning the pen in his hand and curiously asked, "Is there a break this afternoon?"

Zeng You couldn’t help but laugh, chuckling for half a minute at such a simple joke.

"It’s Monday today, after the class eting we’ll switch seats in the afternoon."

Get out of the sixth group, riddle person, if you say sothing like ’everyone understands’, buddy’s got to turn red with rage.

Jiang Nian thought for a bit and replied with a Magic Spell.

"So what?"

Around lunch break, there were only five or six people in the classroom. In Jiang Nian’s third group, it was just him and Zeng You, with soone tucked in the back, doing howork.

Zeng You felt a bit uneasy with Jiang Nian’s words, like a punch of "the power of riddles" landing on cotton.

"I heard Zhang Ningzhi and Huang Fang planning to swap seats last week... didn’t they tell you?"

Seeing Zeng You’s face filled with ambiguous smiles, he seed ready to gossip.

"So what?"

Zeng You’s smile froze, his interest waning as he turned back around. He originally wanted to see Jiang Nian’s awkward reaction, but it ended up with just a repeated comnt.

However... ’So what?’, it was quite useful, worth adding to his collection.

In the afternoon, the first class was the class eting.

Before Zhang Ningzhi entered the classroom, Jiang Nian specifically glanced at her. No lemon water today, she didn’t buy any for herself, so there was no reason to bring any.

The gaze fell on her, Zhang Ningzhi naturally felt it. She sat down nervously, then opened a book and began to quietly recite, pretending not to notice.

Casually covering up anything unusual, masking all emotions unrelated to studying.

Jiang Nian yawned, holding his head as he slowly continued working on math problems. He was just a bit curious about the seat swap, and was he going to be seatmates with Zhang Ningzhi?

Why didn’t anyone tell him? Angry, trembling and cold, wasn’t a boy’s opinion important?

Forget it, as long as Zhang Ningzhi didn’t consult Emperor Guan, it would be fine.

The class eting was sowhat boring, with the horoom teacher Liu Liangsong entering with his sparse hair. It was the sa old tune, repeated warnings, no phones allowed.

No dating, don’t play with fire, water, or electricity.

"There aren’t many relationships in our class, after all, it is a science-focused class," Liu Liangsong stated, leaning on the podium, looking around the class, "I must emphasize this again."

"Senior year! It’s the most difficult year of high school, I’m sure you all feel it. Ah, but please cherish this ti; it might be the most precious period of your life."

"When you graduate next year, you’ll discover that, eh, you’ll never again find a whole class sharing the sa goal, working together towards it."

"Once in college, there’ll be plenty of ti to date, dating seven or eight at a ti and nobody will care. Don’t waste the most valuable ti of your life on romance."

"In the toughest tis, I hope none of you fall behind. Ah, grit your teeth, hang in there, work hard, and strive to beco the person in whom your parents, family, teachers, and friends place high hopes."

Lao Liu sure deserves to be a Chinese teacher, the way he talks is just top-notch.

In the front row, Zhang Ningzhi’s head was low, her face burning, feeling as if her heart was exposed under the sunlight.
