Li Hua yawned, almost squeezing tears from his eyes.

"So sleepy~"

After finishing everything, he glanced at Jiang Nian out of the corner of his eye. Seeing no reaction, he curiously asked.

"Did anyone give you chocolate?"

"Crazy."

Jiang Nian glanced at him, seemingly indifferent. The bag of chocolates from noon had long been thrown into his locker.

"Watch fewer ani shows, it's getting to your head."

"Oh, oh." Li Hua nodded.

The afternoon quickly passed by, and just five minutes into the small self-study session, Jiang Nian stood up and said to Cai Xiaoqing,

"Going to the bathroom."

"Mm."

With several eyes watching, he calmly walked out of the classroom. Instead of going to the bathroom, he turned a corner and went downstairs to eat.

After school, he tid it right. He got in touch with Xu Qianqian and the others, buying a bar of chocolate for her.

Xu Qianqian and Song Xiyun were in the noodle shop, and handed him a piece of chocolate, considering it a completed exchange.

"The chocolate you bought is so ugly." she complained.

Jiang Nian looked listless, "Having it is enough."

"I bought sothing more expensive!" Xu Qianqian protested, glaring at him, "This shows you didn't really put any thought into it."

Jiang Nian frowned, "I don't get it, it's all just giving chocolate."

"Why is it that whoever spends more feels more wronged? Isn't the money saved still used to treat you all to a late-night snack?"

From just hearing these words, one might really think Jiang Nian is a good person.

Xu Qianqian was speechless, "Tch, I can't be bothered talking to you."

After leaving the noodle shop, Jiang Nian didn't imdiately return to school. Instead, he wandered into a bookstore and bought a set of test papers.

By the ti he returned to the classroom, it was already evening study ti.

As soon as he sat down, Zhang Ningzhi complained.

"You went to the bathroom for a full two hours?"

"Uh-huh." Jiang Nian, holding a bag of gummy bears, glanced at his desk-mate, "Got lost on the way back to the classroom."

Zhang Ningzhi looked at him with disdain, "Liar!"

He didn't care, glanced down at the hole in his desk. Noticing there were no gifts, he looked up and grinned.

"Want so candy?"

"I don't want it." Zhang Ningzhi said angrily, then after a mont relented, "Fine, give it to ."

Jiang Nian was about to ask the class monitor if she wanted any.

"Alright then."

Zhang Ningzhi, sensing his intentions, took the gummy bears, feeling a bit annoyed,

After the first period of evening study, the classroom started to bustle.

"Hey, people are already starting to exchange chocolates." Dong Que was excited, eyes sparkling.

Actually, it's not just chocolates. So people gave various snacks, making it rather interesting.

"Stop being so nosy." Tao Ran said, exasperated, "By the way, did you schedule a session with the counseling room?"

"I scheduled for tomorrow, it's closed today." Dong Que was a bit speechless, this group leader was really a killjoy.

The school's two most dramatic holidays were none other than Christmas and Valentine's Day.

On these two days, the young boys and girls had plenty of reasons to give the prepared gifts to their crushes.

However, Valentine's Day is still the more intense one.

Tao Ran nodded, sowhat resigned.

"What's there to see?"

"Just observing the drama." Dong Que said, "People who usually seem unrelated suddenly exchange chocolates."

"Hehe, just thinking about it is thrilling."

Suddenly, a group mber said, "But those who dare to give chocolates are usually outgoing ones."

"Truly introverted people, even if they muster the courage to buy chocolates, will hesitate again and again, holding them tightly in their palms.

Until the warmth of their hands lts the chocolate."

Zhou Yuting listened to them, quietly slipped the chocolate from her palm into her pocket, feeling a bit speechless herself.

She wasn't really introverted, just wanted to "give it back."

Forget it, she wouldn't return it.

Too easy to misunderstand.

....

After study, Jiang Nian headed downstairs, planning to grab a late-night snack in the cafeteria, as he had eaten too early in the afternoon.

Slipping away was easy, but he couldn't handle the hunger.

At seven-thirty in the evening, the cafeteria was brightly lit. He grabbed a bunch of atballs, and just as he sat down, soone ca up to him.

"For you."

Chen Yunyun handed him a can of cucumber-flavored chips, "I originally wanted to give you fruit, but I was worried it might not be sweet."

"But chips won't have that problem, every piece is tasty."

Wang Yuhe blinked, having just asked Yunyun. Yunyun said that chocolates were for couples, snacks were for friends.

"My turn, my turn!"

With a plop, a bag of druttes was placed in front of him.

"I picked these, they're the best tasting."

Jiang Nian awkwardly searched his pocket, he hadn't bought anything.

At noon, upon seeing that Chen Yunyun had no intention of gifting, he thought she didn't celebrate Western festivals, so in the afternoon he focused on dodging.

"Um, want so fish balls?"

Chen Yunyun: "???"

In the end, the three of them sat in the cafeteria enjoying a late-night al together. They only returned to the classroom five minutes after study began.

He looked around, everything seed normal.

Li Hua and Zeng You were discussing how to survive in a post-apocalyptic flood world, engaged in a heated argunt.

Zhang Ningzhi was doing exercises, buried among stacks of books.

As for the class monitor, he glanced at Li Qingrong, who was reading "Youth Digest" with a distant cool deanor.

On her left wrist was a won's watch, a red string hung on her right hand.

Hmm, the first day of school.

Safe.

Jiang Nian breathed a sigh of relief, internally repeating the mantra.

"Chinese people don't celebrate Western holidays."

He was about to start doing howork, relaxing his entire body and leaning back. The hanging backpack suddenly emitted a crinkling sound.

It was the noise of a plastic bag being squeezed.

Was there sothing in the bag?

Jiang Nian was stunned, and just happened to catch Zhang Ningzhi raising her head. Dodgy looks t by chance.

"Hmm?"

He panicked a little, opened his backpack to find an assortnt of chocolates, filling almost a third of the bag.

"Uh....."

Zhang Ningzhi pursed her lips, "Hmph."

After the second evening study.

Li Qingrong patted his shoulder, handing him a set of car keys.

"For you."

Jiang Nian was about to get up from his seat, nearly stunned.

"Qingqing, there's no need for this."

"They're not from my sister, they're mine." Li Qingrong said, "She gave a car, but I can't drive it."

"Ahem." Jiang Nian was terribly flustered, "Alright then, I'll ask you for it when I need it."

After the entire evening study passed, Jiang Nian felt he was almost sweating bullets.

What about not celebrating Western holidays?

But he really hadn't prepared anything, so he simply let it go. He held out until the end of study, then finally relaxed.

"It's over."

Li Hua looked up, muttering to himself.

"I waited all day and never got any chocolate. But the good news is, not many in the class really celebrated."

Saying so, he tossed the chocolate he had bought to Jiang Nian.

"For you, dammit."

Jiang Nian chuckled, feeling slightly guilty.

"That's what I'm saying, what proper person celebrates Valentine's Day? It's a holiday brought in by foreigners, how can it be reliable?"

"Definitely." Li Hua nodded, then asked, "Do you celebrate?"

Jiang Nian shook his head, "I don't celebrate."

To be honest, he really didn't celebrate. Although he received chocolates, he hadn't given any, not counting the one to Xu Qianqian.

"Ah, what a lousy holiday." Li Hua sighed, "Like you said, it's really a bit degrading considering it."

"Who wouldn't agree."

...

After school.

Jiang Nian carried his bag out of the classroom, leaving the school premises early. Feeling the weight of the bag, he couldn't help but feel a little awkward.

"Who should I give this to?"

From a distance, Xu Qianqian and the others ca over as well. As they approached, they asked curiously.

"You're carrying a lot of books?"

"I bought a new set of test papers this afternoon to take ho and do." Jiang Nian said honestly, "Alright, let's head ho first."

"Oh, oh." Xu Qianqian nodded.

The three of them chatted along the way, talking about so news regarding the upcoming opening exams, though none of them specially prepared for it.

Entering the alley and going upstairs.

Jiang Nian went straight ho, packed the chocolates into a box, and with a sigh, temporarily stored it away.

After changing his jacket, he went next door.

In the bathroom, Song Xiyun was taking a shower.

Xu Qianqian opened the door for him, hushing him. She gestured for him to be quiet and sneakily pulled him to the room.

"You mustn't make a sound."
