Alina’s POV

I couldn’t pull my eyes away from his. My chest felt tight, a mix of disbelief and a warmth I hadn’t felt in years. He reached out, his calloused hand folding over mine, and offered a soft smile.

"I am here now," he whispered, his voice steady. "No one will ever hurt you again."

The dam broke. Hot tears spilled over, tracing tracks down my cheeks. He didn’t look away; instead, he leaned in and gently brushed the moisture away with his thumb.

"I still can’t believe this is real," I choked out, my voice thick and trembling. "I have a brother. I actually have surviving kin."

"Yes, you do." His expression darkened for a flicker of a second before softening. "I might have failed you all these years, but I’m going to make everything right. You don’t have to worry about anyone ever again."

A small, genuine smile finally tugged at my lips. I looked at the scars on his hands and the hardness in his posture. "You said a family took you in... so how did you end up a rogue?"

His jaw tightened. "They weren’t a family. They were masters. They kept as a slave, reminding every single day how low I was—an Oga son with no one left. They treated like garbage."

My heart twisted in my chest, a physical ache blooming for the boy he used to be.

"I knew I had to leave and find you," he continued, his grip on my hand tightening. "I did everything possible to get away."

"How?" I asked, my voice barely a whisper. "How did you leave? And how did you beco an Alpha?"

"I killed them."

The words were flat, cold. My eyes widened, and I instinctively pulled my hand back, my fingers slipping from his.

"I know I’m a monster, Alina," he said quickly, reaching out as if to catch the air between us. "But they made this way. It was either their lives or mine. This world isn’t safe for Ogas. I did what I had to do to survive, to escape. Please... don’t look at like that. I would never hurt you."

I looked at the desperation in his eyes. He had been tortured and discarded; they weren’t good people. He was just a boy trying to survive.

"It’s okay," I said, forcing my breathing to steady. "I get it, Samuel. You had no choice."

A spark of light returned to his face. "My na isn’t Samuel to you. It’s Sammy. Like you used to call ."

"Sammy," I repeated.

A wide, boyish grin spread across his lips, erasing years of hardship for a brief mont. "Now that I’ve found you, I’m never letting you leave my side."

My smile faltered. The reality of my life outside this room crashed back down on . "Sammy... I have a son. I can’t just abandon my child."

"That’s fine," he said easily, though his eyes remained sharp. "We’ll go get him. Where is he?"

"He is with Aiden."

The warmth vanished from his face. The muscles in his neck turned to stone, and his smile curdled into a mask of pure rage.

"Alpha Aiden?" he repeated, his voice dropping an octave.

I gave a small, shaky nod.

"No. No, that man cannot be the father of your child," he snapped. The air in the room seed to vibrate with his sudden fury. "How... how could you marry such a man?"

"It wasn’t my choice." I felt the old bitterness rising in my throat, hot and sharp. "They say Ogas aren’t worth anything. They dragged there and told it was my destiny." I looked down at my hands, my voice hardening. "I was helpless. I was alone. I actually thought I was finally getting a family, but I was just a placeholder Luna for three years. We’re divorced now—he isn’t my husband anymore—but my son is everything."

"Fine." Sammy’s eyes were cold, fixed on a point on the wall as if he were picturing Aiden’s face. "We are going to get him. He is my nephew, and I won’t have him growing up in a house where Aiden is the father."

The pure hatred in his voice made want to shrink back. I wanted to ask why he loathed a man he hadn’t seen in years, but the look on his face told to stay silent.

"It won’t be easy to just go and grab him," Lucian’s voice broke in.

I hadn’t even noticed him leaning against the doorfra. He pushed off the wood, stepping into the room. "I’m sorry for ruining the reunion, but Aiden won’t let Leo go. From what I’ve seen, he still wants Alina, and he’ll use the boy to keep her."

"I will never let him co anywhere near my sister again," Sammy growled, his shoulders bunching under his shirt.

"Easy, Boca," Lucian said, raising a hand. "I don’t want him near her either. But we have to be practical if we want to get the kid back safely."

"What should we do then?" I asked, looking between the two of them.

"We ambush," Lucian said, his expression going blank. "And we kill."

My heart skipped a beat. "No!"

"I like the sound of that," Sammy agreed, his teeth bared in a dark grin.

"No, we shouldn’t do that!" I stood up, my voice firm despite the way my hands shook. "That will only put my son’s life in danger. I don’t want a war, I just want my baby."

They exchanged a look—a silent, heavy glance that felt like I was being excluded from the conversation.

"I’m serious," I added, my tone turning stern. "I don’t want violence."

Lucian sighed, his gaze softening as he looked at . "Alright, Alina. No violence. We’ll get Leo back."

He said the words, but the promise didn’t reach his eyes. I could tell he was lying, yet I forced a small, tight smile anyway. It was the only way to keep the peace for now.

"I’ll leave you both for a mont," Sammy said, his expression shifting back to that gentle brotherly warmth. He leaned in and squeezed my shoulder. "Today is the best day of my life."

He offered one last smile before turning and disappearing into the hallway.

"Who would have thought a family reunion was actually going to happen?" Lucian said, a genuine smile tugging at his lips. "I’m just glad you got to see your brother."

Before he could say another word, I stepped forward and wrapped my arms tightly around him. He stiffened for a second, caught completely off guard, before his arms found their way around my waist.

"Thank you, Lucian," I sobbed into his chest, the tears flowing freely now. "Thank you so much for bringing here. I found my brother... I found out I actually have a family, and it’s all because of you."

"Hey, I didn’t do much," he murmured, pulling back just enough to look at . "It just happened that Boca is one of us." He reached out, his thumb gently brushing a stray tear from my cheek. "Don’t cry."

I didn’t pull away. Instead, I leaned in and pressed my lips to his. It started as a soft, slow kiss, but the spark between us ignited instantly. The kiss deepened, turning hungry and desperate as our tongues tangled.

"Fuck, I needed this," Lucian groaned against my mouth, sounding like a man who had been holding his breath for a lifeti.

I smiled against his lips and leaned back in for more. He groaned low in his throat and lifted effortlessly, carrying over to the bed. He set down gently before pulling his shirt over his head, his eyes never leaving mine. He crawled over , his lips finding my neck, sending shivers racing down my spine. I clung to him, my fingers digging into his shoulders as he kissed with a wild, desperate energy.

His hands moved lower, and with a sudden, sharp tug, the sound of fabric tearing filled the quiet room.

"Fuck, you’re needy," I gasped, a playful smirk dancing on my lips.

"You’re mine, Alina," he growled.

I nodded breathlessly as he moved lower, his mouth closing over . The sensation was intense, and a low moan escaped my throat. I was burning up, my body aching for him with a desperation that matched his own.

"Lucian..." I whimpered into his ear, my head tossing back against the pillow. Suddenly, a cold realization hit . I stiffened, my eyes snapping toward the entrance. "Wait!"

I pushed against his chest, forcing so space between us.

"What? What’s the matter?" he asked, his voice thick with confusion and heat.

"The door," I whispered.

He let out a frustrated huff but stood up imdiately. He strode across the room, the lock clicking firmly into place, before turning back to with raw hunger in his eyes. He practically stalked back to the bed, the desperation rolling off him in waves.

"Now," he said, hovering over and searching my gaze. "Can we finish this? You know how much I like being yours."

I arched an eyebrow, a smirk playing on my lips. "Say it."

He leaned down, his breath hot against my skin. "My master."
