Jolted back to his senses, the leader hurried forward to block the girl's path.
"Well, well, little lady. What's the rush?" he purred. "Don't be in such a hurry. How about I show you a good ti?"
With that, the leader reached out to grab her wrist.
The girl was so frightened she couldn't speak. Just as his hand was about to close around her wrist, a large hand shot out from the side and clamped down on his.
A deep, resonant voice followed.
"Harassing an innocent woman in broad daylight? You've got so serious guts! Are you looking for a death wish?"
The thug whose wrist was caught froze, then looked up. He saw a very tall figure standing before him, completely blocking the sun and casting a long shadow over him. The sight stunned him into silence.
However, he quickly recovered.
"Fuck, who the hell are you?!" he snarled. "Do you have any idea who I am? How dare you ddle in my business! Let tell you, playing the hero isn't as easy as it looks!"
As he spoke, the thug tried to wrench his arm free from the large hand gripping his wrist. But no matter how hard he struggled, he couldn't break the hold. Instead, the grip only grew tighter, the pressure mounting until his face turned pale with pain.
Even so, he showed no sign of backing down.
Observing this, Liu Ergou raised an eyebrow. This punk's got a high pain tolerance, he thought, a little surprised.
Indeed, the one who had intervened was none other than Liu Ergou.
Seeing their boss was in trouble, the two underlings imdiately jumped out from behind him.
"Hey, you! Where are you from? What do you think you're doing? Let our boss go, now!"

The two lackeys took turns threatening him, trying to intimidate Liu Ergou into releasing their leader. But their words were destined to fall on deaf ears.

A film of cold sweat broke out on his forehead.
Seeing their boss's predicant, his two underlings stopped wasting ti. Each pulled out a collapsible baton and aid it at Liu Ergou.
The girl behind him saw this and imdiately cried out a warning.
"Be careful!"
But Liu Ergou didn't answer her. He just stared expressionlessly at the two ard n.
Before they could make a move, Liu Ergou acted.
With a surge of strength, he yanked the thug leader up and swung him like a club at the two underlings.
THUD.
The sound was followed by a chorus of miserable screams. The two lackeys were knocked to the ground, wailing and crying for their mothers. Liu Ergou had put his full strength into the blow; it would have been strange if it didn't hurt. The leader, in particular, was in such agony that he clutched his arm and rolled around on the ground.
As a doctor, Liu Ergou knew at a glance that he had broken the man's arm. It was what he deserved. Serves him right.
The commotion had attracted the attention of other people nearby, but no one dared to get involved. They all took one look at the thugs on the ground and hurried away. In the end, it was Liu Ergou who called the police.

Hearing Chief Zheng's words, Liu Ergou didn't know whether to laugh or cry, but he understood the man's intentions. He recounted the incident from beginning to end, then added, "Chief Zheng, they're just three petty hooligans. Was it really necessary for you to co all the way out here yourself?"

The officer who had co with Chief Zheng nodded imdiately, then escorted the three ashen-faced thugs back to the police car.
