With that thought, Lu Xiaoyu no longer hesitated. Gripping Liu Ergou's arm, she turned to leave the private room.
Lu Xiaoyu's decisiveness left Liu Ergou stunned. By the ti he processed what was happening, Lu Xiaoyu was already pulling him to his feet. They were just about to leave.
"Wait, hold on!" Liu Ergou hastily called out. "Why the sudden rush? Aren't you going to sit for a bit longer? They…"
Before Liu Ergou could finish, Lu Xiaoyu cut him off. "What's there to sit around for? We've finished eating, and you've added each other as friends. We can talk about whatever it is when we get back. What's the point of dawdling here?"
Without giving Liu Ergou another chance to speak, she dragged him straight out of the room, leaving three snickering won behind.
Walking down the street, Lu Xiaoyu said to Liu Ergou with a jealous look, "Liu Ergou, I really underestimated you."
"I always thought you were such a straight-laced guy, but I never expected you to be so impressive. My best friends et you once and you've already conquered them all! You're really sothing else."
"And Zhao Xuelan… she's had that sour look on her face ever since we t her, never a pleasant expression. This is the first ti I've seen her flustered in all these years! Tell , was her bag really…"
At this, Liu Ergou coughed pointedly. Lu Xiaoyu instantly got the hint and dropped the subject of Zhao Xuelan.
Just like that, the two walked quietly down the street without saying much more.
They had already reached the ground floor when Liu Ergou suddenly realized sothing. What Lu Xiaoyu had just said didn't add up.
"Wait a minute, Lu Xiaoyu, sothing you said was off!" Liu Ergou stopped and turned to face her.
Lu Xiaoyu just shrugged. "What was wrong with it?"
Liu Ergou rubbed his chin. "You just said I conquered your three best friends. When did I do that? I was just treating them as patients! Don't be ridiculous!"
Lu Xiaoyu couldn't help but roll her eyes at his words. "I give you one little complint and you're already getting puffed up about it."
"I was just teasing. Do you really think the three of them are that easy? You're overthinking things. Winning them over would be a real challenge!"
"You saw Leng Shasha, right? Did you think she was the most enthusiastic toward you, the easiest to win over?"
Liu Ergou nodded. "She certainly seed like it. She's so warm and not the least bit shy!"
Lu Xiaoyu burst out laughing at his response. "Hahaha, I knew you'd think that!"
"But it's normal. You're still young, just in your twenties, and haven't t many won. It's only natural you'd be chard by Leng Shasha. If I were a man, I'd probably be just like you!"
"Unfortunately, Leng Shasha is anything but simple. To use a modern phrase, she's a 'master-level player,' and the worst kind there is."
"She loves to steal other won's boyfriends. The mont you've completely fallen for her, she'll kick you to the curb. When that happens, you'll lose both her and your money. That's getting off easy."
"The really terrifying part is the heartbreak. Tsk, tsk… I can't even bear to think about it! That's why I made you leave with today. I wasn't trying to ruin your fun, I was trying to help you!"
Liu Ergou was so shocked his jaw dropped. He never imagined that the seemingly warm and vivacious Leng Shasha could be such a person.
He had actually thought she'd be the easiest to win over. I can't believe it. In the end, I was the clown all along.
If I had actually made a move on her, the humiliation would have been imnse.
Still, the harder soone is to win over, the greater the challenge… and the bigger the sense of accomplishnt in the end. However, Liu Ergou kept these thoughts to himself. He knew that if he said them out loud, Lu Xiaoyu would just find another way to laugh at him.
So, Liu Ergou simply remained silent. Seeing this, Lu Xiaoyu couldn't help but laugh as she reached out and pinched his cheek.
"Look at you. I say a few things and you go all quiet. Are you angry?"
Liu Ergou shook his head. "No, I'm not angry. I'm just thinking about sothing else."
As she started the car, Lu Xiaoyu replied, "What else could you be thinking about? The other won, right? Listen to , none of those three is a pushover. Even if I were a man, dealing with them would take a lot of effort. You're still just a kid, so don't get any funny ideas!"
Just as she finished speaking, the engine roared to life. Lu Xiaoyu expertly maneuvered the car out of the underground garage and sped off down the road.
As their car passed the hotel entrance, Liu Ergou looked out the window and saw Leng Shasha and her friends walking out.
Liu Ergou hadn't planned on greeting them, but to his surprise, Leng Shasha noticed him in the car. She smiled and gave him a delicate wave.
That simple wave from Leng Shasha created a turbulent surge that caught the eye. A jolt of heat shot through Liu Ergou.
Hmph. So Leng Shasha is the most difficult one, is she? In that case, I'll just have to conquer her first!
By the ti Liu Ergou was done with his thoughts, Lu Xiaoyu had already pulled into the villa's underground parking garage.
Turning her head, Lu Xiaoyu saw Liu Ergou sitting there lost in thought and couldn't help but laugh. Her laughter startled him out of his reverie.
Looking at Lu Xiaoyu, who was laughing so hard she was doubled over, Liu Ergou couldn't help but ask, "What is it? Why are you laughing so hard?"
Seeing the confused look on his face, Lu Xiaoyu laughed again. "I just want to laugh whenever I see you spacing out like that!"
This answer only made the baffled Liu Ergou even more confused. "Huh? What's so funny about spacing out? I was pondering a very serious matter. What are you laughing at?"
He had barely finished speaking when Lu Xiaoyu shook her head, a playful smirk on her face. "Tsk, tsk. A 'serious matter,' you say? Don't think for a second I don't know what you were really thinking about."
"When we were leaving the hotel just now, I saw Leng Shasha wave at you. You were thinking about her figure, weren't you?"
With Lu Xiaoyu hitting the nail right on the head, Liu Ergou couldn't help but feel a little awkward.
But could he really be blad? With a figure like Leng Shasha's, any man would be fantasizing about her. Unless that man wasn't into won, of course.
