Realizing their intentions had been exposed, the n looked embarrassed for a mont. But when they saw Liu Ergou was alone, their embarrassnt vanished.
The leader stepped forward, pointing a finger at Liu Ergou. "Who says we were taking advantage of her?" he yelled. "We're practitioners of traditional Chinese dicine, and we were trying to check this woman's pulse!" He gestured to his companion who was still on the ground. "But now you've kicked my friend! You're in big trouble now!"
Liu Ergou couldn't be bothered with them. He turned to Xiao Rou and shouted, "Xiao Rou, call the police! Tell them there are hooligans here!"
In the crowd, Xiao Rou imdiately acknowledged him and pulled out her phone.
Seeing that Liu Ergou was actually calling the police, the leader started to get nervous. He sized up Liu Ergou's robust build, and an idea ca to him. He suddenly leaned in close and whispered, "Buddy, I get what you're really after. How about this? The woman is yours. Just let us go, and we'll pretend this never happened."
Liu Ergou said nothing. He simply set his back basket aside and began to take the woman's pulse. The man saw this and assud Liu Ergou had agreed. He turned to leave.
But before he could take a single step, Liu Ergou's voice cut through the air. "Who said you could leave? You think you can act like a pervert and just walk away?"
The man was stunned. Didn't he just agree? Why is he going back on his word?
Furious, he started cursing at Liu Ergou. "Don't be a damn hypocrite! You're thinking the exact sa thing as us, aren't you? You want a piece of her too!"
Liu Ergou sneered. "Which one of your eyes saw trying to take advantage of her? I'm a practitioner of traditional Chinese dicine, and I'm taking her pulse. Is there a problem with that?"
The man froze for a second, then burst out laughing. "If you're a practitioner of traditional Chinese dicine, then I'll eat shit while doing a handstand! Co on, if you're so capable, tell us what's wrong with this woman!"
