Hearing Wu Dahu's words, Liu Ergou subconsciously glanced into the distance. The police cars were already far off, visible only as a tiny outline from where he stood. The police certainly didn't have his eyesight and couldn't possibly see what was happening in the wasteland, so Liu Ergou wasn't scared at all.
Looking at Wu Dahu, Liu Ergou said coldly, "Wu Dahu, I never took you seriously. But today you're insisting on courting death, so you can't bla for what happens!"
With that, Liu Ergou suddenly lifted his hand and jabbed fiercely at Wu Dahu's chest. The poke sent Wu Dahu sprawling to the ground. A sharp, intense pain spread from his chest, making him writhe in agony. It was quite a while before the pain finally subsided.
After the pain had abated, Wu Dahu gritted his teeth and snarled, "Liu Ergou, you dare hit ! Just you wait, I'm calling the police right now! I'm going to sue you!"
As he spoke, Wu Dahu took out his phone, making a show of calling the police.
But when Liu Ergou saw this, he was far from scared; instead, his face was full of contempt.
"Heh, Wu Dahu, go ahead and call the police," he scoffed. "If they can find a single scratch on you, then from this day forward, I, Liu Ergou, will take your surna!"
These words sent an involuntary shiver down Wu Dahu's spine. Despite this, he wasn't ready to back down and was about to retort with a few threats of his own. However, just as he looked up, he t Liu Ergou's murderous gaze. The sight petrified him, and he froze on the spot, not daring to move an inch.
After a long mont, Wu Dahu finally recovered from his fear. He no longer dared to act arrogantly in front of Liu Ergou. Without another word, he scrambled up from the ground, turned, and fled. He was so fast that he vanished without a trace in the blink of an eye.
Watching him disappear, Liu Ergou sneered.
"Let's go, Yun Xi. Ti to head back. It's all over," he said.
Liu Yunxi didn't say much and simply followed Liu Ergou back to his house.
The fleeing Wu Dahu didn't dare to linger in Fengzhu Village. He went straight to the main road and hitched a ride straight to town. Once there, not caring how pathetic he looked, he found a random spot on the curb to sit down and began panting heavily. Clearly, Liu Ergou's murderous glare had scared him half to death.
While Wu Dahu was catching his breath, a sedan suddenly pulled up in front of him, and the window rolled down. Master Six was inside.
Looking at Wu Dahu sitting on the curb gasping for air, Master Six asked coldly, "Wu Dahu, how did it go?"
Wu Dahu was startled at first, but when he looked up and recognized the man, he imdiately put on a woeful expression. "Master Six, our plan failed!"
Upon hearing this, Master Six's face darkened instantly.
"Useless! You can't even handle such a simple task! I really don't know what good you are!"
Despite the scolding, Wu Dahu didn't dare show the slightest hint of dissatisfaction. He lowered his head and said with a wronged look, "Master Six, you can't bla this all on ! Even though Young Master Yuan helped us, the plan was too rushed! Anyone with half a brain could see through it. I'm just a farr, but even I know that when there's a problem with the land, it affects a large area. How could it be that only one tiny spot was bad?"
After Wu Dahu's explanation, Master Six didn't press the issue. Instead, he shook his head and pointed to the rear car door.
"Hah, you have a point. I suppose it's not really your fault, but the plan was Young Master Yuan's idea. You can't exactly bla him, can you? Forget it. Get in the car, quick! We'll talk on the way."
Wu Dahu imdiately nodded, scrambled to his feet, and threw open the car door, hopping inside.
Just as he settled in, Master Six seed to rember sothing and asked, "Right, Wu Dahu, there were no other complications, were there?"
Wu Dahu quickly explained, "Master Six, rest assured. From start to finish, Liu Ergou thought I was the one who did it. He never suspected you or Young Master Yuan!"
Hearing this, Master Six finally nodded in satisfaction.
"Hmm, that's good. Even though you failed, at least you didn't make things worse. Go ho and get so rest. I'll be the one to report to Young Master Yuan."
However, Wu Dahu didn't respond. He just sat in his seat, frowning as if lost in thought. When no answer ca, Master Six's face darkened again.
"Wu Dahu, are you deaf? Didn't you hear talking to you?!"
Jolted by the shout, Wu Dahu snapped back to his senses. "Master Six, I'm sorry, I was just thinking about sothing and got too absorbed. What did you say? Could you repeat it?"
But Master Six didn't repeat himself. He just snorted coldly.
"Hmph. To be blunt, you and Liu Ergou are both country bumpkins. What important matters could you possibly be thinking about? I hope this doesn't happen a second ti. Understand?"
Being called a country bumpkin stung, but Wu Dahu didn't dare talk back. He could only nod repeatedly, promising it wouldn't happen again. Seeing his compliant attitude, Master Six said no more and drove away.
As they drove, Wu Dahu's brow remained tightly furrowed.
After so ti on the road, the frowning Wu Dahu suddenly slapped his thigh and exclaid loudly, "Master Six, I've thought of a great way to deal with Liu Ergou! This thod is foolproof, way better than the plan Young Master Yuan gave us!"
The sudden shout startled Master Six so badly that he almost lost his grip on the steering wheel, nearly crashing into a tree. Fortunately, he managed to steady the car at the last second.
"Wu Dahu! Are you trying to get killed?!" Master Six roared. "I swear, one more stunt like that and I'll…"
Before he could finish, Wu Dahu hurriedly explained, "Master Six, don't be angry! I just got too excited when I ca up with this great idea! I want to help solve Young Master Yuan's problems too! Don't be mad, just listen to my plan!"
The ntion of helping Young Master Yuan made Master Six hold his tongue.
He could only reply coldly, "Fine, fine! If you have sothing to say, then spit it out! I'm dying to hear this brilliant plan of yours."
