The night passed in a blur, one destined to be sleepless.
Early the next morning, Liu Ergou woke to find Lu Shuangyue still curled up in his arms. A wide smile spread across his face.
He quietly slipped out of bed, left the bedroom, and went to the kitchen to make so breakfast. After eating his own al, he began to wait patiently for Lu Shuangyue to wake up.
He ended up waiting all the way until noon.
Looking at the scorching sun outside, Liu Ergou couldn't help but wipe the sweat from his brow.
I guess I really went too far last night, he thought. If I'd known she would be out for this long, I wouldn't have been so unrestrained.
Just as he was about to head upstairs, his phone suddenly rang. He took it out and glanced at the screen.
