With no other choice, Liu Ergou could only offer reluctant, one-word replies. When he really couldn't take it anymore, he simply closed his eyes and pretended to rest.
Ten minutes passed quickly. Liu Ergou opened his eyes to see where they were, but what he saw made him frown. They were sohow on the outskirts of the city.
Looking at the pitch-black scenery outside the window, Liu Ergou asked, "Hey, driver, did you take a wrong turn? This doesn't seem like the way to the hotel. If I rember correctly, the route isn't this deserted! This looks more like the road to the countryside!"
Upon hearing this, the man with the full beard didn't answer. Instead, he stomped on the gas pedal, and the taxi's speed increased significantly.
