anwhile, Liu Ergou had already returned to his car. The first thing he did was call Lu Xiaoyu to tell him what had happened to Zhu Qiushui. Soon, Liu Ergou arrived at the company. As soon as he reached the entrance, however, two security guards stopped him.
"Stop right there!" one of them barked. "This is private property! No outsiders allowed! Leave imdiately!"
Hearing this, Liu Ergou stopped and gave the two of them a cold look. "And what if I don't?" he asked coolly.
The two guards were stunned for a mont, then burst out laughing. One of them, after laughing his fill, waved the baton in his hand in front of Liu Ergou. "Not leaving? Well then, don't bla us if our batons get a little rough! Let tell you, this thing hurts like hell! You don't want a beating, do you? If not, then get the hell away from our company entrance. If you don't scram now, we're done being polite!"
Seeing the guards' arrogance, Liu Ergou's expression turned frigid. "You two are pretty arrogant for a couple of security guards. Aren't you afraid of losing your jobs?"
"Can't help it, we're just that bold!" the other guard chid in. "Do you have any idea what company this is? We won't get fired for roughing up the likes of you!" Finishing his words, the guard took out his own baton and lightly tapped Liu Ergou's chest with it. "So get lost! If you don't scram now, don't bla for what happens next!"
Seeing this, Liu Ergou knew there was no reasoning with these two guards. It seed he would have to use force. He let out a soft sigh. "You brought this on yourselves. I really didn't want to fight."
His words only made the two guards laugh again. "Hahaha, you don't want to fight?" one of them guffawed. "You think a little punk like you can take us on? Go ahead, try sothing!"
"Go to hell—"
With that, the guard raised his baton high and swung it down at Liu Ergou's head. Seeing him attack at the slightest disagreent, Liu Ergou stopped holding back. He took a single step back, effortlessly dodging the blow. Then, he reached out and gently tapped both guards on the chest. He moved so quickly that neither of them had ti to react.
A second later, the two guards froze. They glanced at each other before collapsing to the ground with a thud. They imdiately began foaming at the mouth and convulsing on the ground, as if having an epileptic fit.
Once that was done, Liu Ergou casually strolled into the company.
The commotion had already drawn the attention of others, who discovered the two fallen guards. A crowd gathered, watching the two n twitching on the ground with concern.
"What happened to them?" one onlooker asked. "Why are they convulsing like that? Does anyone know what happened?"
"I don't know," soone else replied imdiately. "I just saw them about to hit that guy, but they missed. Then they just fell down and started twitching on their own."
"Looks like a failed shakedown attempt?" another person whispered.
As soon as the word "shakedown" was ntioned, the chaotic scene fell silent. The onlookers, not wanting to get involved, quickly lowered their heads and scurried away, leaving only the two security guards still convulsing on the ground.
anwhile, Liu Ergou was already in the lobby, heading for the elevators. He had learned from Zhu Qiushui that the man was usually in his office on the top floor. However, before he could get close, a receptionist rushed over to stop him.

The door flew open, and the scene inside the office was laid bare before him. There was a man and a woman. The woman's skirt was hiked up, and the man was leering at her. Startled by the noise, the man imdiately wiped the lecherous look from his face, replacing it with a serious expression as he looked up. He saw Liu Ergou standing expressionlessly in the doorway.
Mistaking Liu Ergou for an employee, the man imdiately started cursing at him. "What the hell do you want! Are you tired of working here? You ruined my fun, believe it or not, I'll—"
Before the man could finish, Liu Ergou cut him off. "Tan Zhengqing, right?" he stated as he strode confidently toward him.
The woman, who had been sprawled on the desk, saw Liu Ergou approaching and quickly pulled down her skirt, hastily scrambling to the side.
Tan Zhengqing was enraged that Liu Ergou dared to just walk into his office. He leaped to his feet, pointed a finger at Liu Ergou, and began shouting, "Get out! Get the hell out of here now! How dare you barge into my office? You must be tired of living!"
