As she spoke, Ning Hua cracked her knuckles, producing a series of sharp pops.
"It seems, Liu Ergou, that today your Senior Sister needs to teach you what it ans to respect your elders and our traditions! Otherwise, you'll continue to be a man with no manners at all!"
As she spoke, Ning Hua had already strode in front of Liu Ergou, looking like she was ready to strike. However, Liu Ergou wasn't the least bit flustered; he just sat there, looking at her indifferently. His calm deanor made Ning Hua curious.
Why isn't he afraid of all of a sudden? Looking at how composed he is, could he have so kind of trump card?
While Ning Hua was pondering, Liu Ergou finally spoke. "Senior Sister, let tell you, stop threatening . You can't intimidate ! Do you really think you can beat as badly as you did before? I'm telling you, the sa move won't work twice on a Saint!"
Ning Hua was stunned for a mont, but then her expression twisted into a vicious smile. "My dear junior brother, it looks like you're itching for a beating! You dare talk back like that? Have you really forgotten how your Senior Sister thrashed you last ti? Since you've forgotten, let help you rember!"
"And by the way, don't even think about running to Master. Even if you did, he wouldn't help you!"
With that, Ning Hua gave him no chance to reply, launching a kick straight at his chest. She put all her strength into it, clearly intending to take him down.
Sitting there, Liu Ergou felt a rush of wind barrel toward him as Ning Hua's foot magnified rapidly in his vision. But even so, he showed no intention of dodging. And Ning Hua had no intention of holding back.
Just as her foot was a re centiter from his chest, Liu Ergou finally reacted. He shot to his feet, flashing Ning Hua a aningful smile. Then, right in front of her, he collapsed to the ground and coughed up a mouthful of blood.
The sight left Ning Hua utterly dumbfounded. Staring at Liu Ergou lying on the ground, she couldn't help but scratch her head in confusion. She couldn't understand it. Her foot hadn't even touched him, so why had he suddenly collapsed and coughed up blood?
Could I have reached the legendary realm of an Innate Grandmaster, able to injure people with my qi alone? If so, that would be incredible. Of course, she knew that was impossible. She hadn't even reached the Houtian realm, let alone Innate Grandmaster.
Looking at Liu Ergou on the floor, she said irritably, "Liu Ergou, what's wrong with you? Get off the ground! Stop playing dead, do you hear ?"
She had expected him to leap to his feet, but he didn't. Instead, his face began to turn pale. Looking up at her, Liu Ergou spoke, his voice weak.
*"Se-Senior Sister... COUGH! COUGH! COUGH!"*
*"The force of your kick just now... cough... I think it triggered my old injuries. My chest... it hurts so much!"*
*"Senior Sister!"* he choked out, coughing twice more.
Ning Hua was dumbstruck. What in the world is going on?!
After a brief mont of shock, she finally snapped back to reality. She stomped her foot, roaring at Liu Ergou, "You're quite the actor, aren't you, Liu Ergou! I'm telling you, enough is enough! A relapse? How is that possible? Do you really think the Great Rejuvenation Pill Master gave you was so worthless mud ball? That's a sacred dicine of our sect! A healing treasure that can regrow flesh on bone and practically raise the dead! It healed your broken ribs completely, so how could you relapse? Stop pretending! You can't fool !"
As she spoke, she reached down to haul him up. But the mont her hand touched his collar, Liu Ergou's face went white again, and he sprayed another mouthful of blood onto the ground. His eyes rolled back into his head, and he went limp, falling unconscious.
Seeing this, Ning Hua was completely and utterly stunned.
She nudged him gently with her foot. "Hey, hey! Liu Ergou, stop faking it. Don't think you can deceive ! Stop playing dead! I've seen a thing or two, don't think you can trick !"
However, Liu Ergou remained motionless. Seeing him so unresponsive, Ning Hua began to feel a knot of panic tighten in her stomach. She swallowed hard, then slowly squatted down and hesitantly placed her fingers under his nose to check for his breath.
To her horror, his breathing was as faint as a thread. He looked as though he was on the verge of death. She was so frightened her hair felt like it was standing on end. At this point, she was convinced his old injuries had relapsed.
If not for a relapse, how else could he be in this state?
"Liu Ergou! Liu Ergou!" she cried out, helping him up and carrying him into the house.
She placed him on the bed and covered him with a blanket, then prepared to call Swallow Li. However, what Ning Hua didn't know was that just as she took out her phone, the "unconscious" Liu Ergou stealthily opened his eyes, glanced at her, and then quickly squeezed them shut again.
That's right, Liu Ergou wasn't in this state because his injuries had relapsed—he was faking it. His goal? To teach Ning Hua a lesson. She was always being sarcastic and shooting him dirty looks for no reason, acting as if he owed her a fortune. After all, she was the one who had ambushed him and nearly beaten him to death. If he didn't get so payback, he'd never be able to rest easy.
And his plan was working perfectly.
Ning Hua was now so panicked she could barely hold her phone. Her delicate hands trembled nonstop as she kept muttering, "It's over, it's over! I've killed my junior brother... The Flying Swallow Sect strictly forbids disciples from harming one another. Master will never forgive !"
The more she spoke, the more terrified she beca, and the trembling in her hands intensified. Finally, she couldn't hold it steady any longer, and the phone slipped from her grasp, clattering to the floor. Unable to bear the pressure, Ning Hua squatted down and burst into tears.
Lying on the bed, Liu Ergou saw this and couldn't help but roll his eyes.
How is my Senior Sister so fragile? It's not even a big deal, and she's panicking so much she can't even hold her phone to make a call. This is just pathetic. A far cry from the woman who was hunting down before.
