As for breakfast, Liu Ergou simply bought sothing ready-made. Anything and everything could be found around the villa, so it only took him a little over ten minutes to grab so food and return.
anwhile, Lu Xiaoyu had also woken up. Seeing her awake, Liu Ergou waved at her.
"Co on, I’ve got breakfast ready. Let’s eat!"
Lu Xiaoyu rubbed her bleary eyes and said softly, "Er Gou, you woke up so early! It seems to be like this every ti. Aren’t you the least bit tired?"
Upon hearing this, Liu Ergou shook his head.
"Not tired." With that, Liu Ergou stood up, sat directly on the bed, and stretched out an arm to embrace her with a mischievous smile. "Not only am I not tired, but I feel even more energetic! So, how about a morning workout with ?"
After saying this, Liu Ergou looked at her with a suggestive gaze.
Seeing him like this scared Lu Xiaoyu quite a bit. Last night, Liu Ergou had nearly been the death of her. If they did it again this morning, she feared she might actually die.
Seeing her frightened look, Liu Ergou burst into laughter and playfully slapped her on the bottom.
"Alright, get up and eat! I won’t tease you anymore."
With that, Liu Ergou got up and went to the dining table, ready to eat. However, just as he picked up his chopsticks, his phone rang.
He glanced at the screen and saw that the call was from Han Jiajia. Liu Ergou answered.
"Hey, Jia Jia. What’s up?"
The words had barely left his mouth when he heard Han Jiajia’s slurred voice over the phone. "Uhm, Er Gou... I just got a call from upstairs. They said people from the patrol bureau are coming today."
"We have to go pick them up. Co get in about an hour. I need to get so more sleep... I’m so sleepy... I’m really, really sleepy... I don’t want to go to work..."
Hearing this, Liu Ergou nodded. "Okay, got it. I’ll co for you in an hour."
There was no response from Han Jiajia, only the sound of even breathing. Hearing this, Liu Ergou smiled and shook his head. Unsurprisingly, she had fallen asleep again.
After having breakfast with Lu Xiaoyu, Liu Ergou drove straight to Han Jiajia’s place.
Soon, he arrived at her door. He knocked and waited a mont, but there was no response. After a mont of hesitation, Liu Ergou knocked a bit harder. This ti, he knocked forcefully. THUMP! THUMP! THUMP! But even so, there was still no sound from inside the room.
Just as Liu Ergou was wondering if he had co to the wrong place, Han Jiajia’s voice finally ca from within.
"I’m coming, I’m coming! Stop knocking!"
It was Han Jiajia’s voice, but it sounded weak, as if she were sick. Hearing this, Liu Ergou raised an eyebrow. Before he could think any further, her voice ca from inside again.
"Who is it? Waking up so early in the morning! So annoying!"
Hearing this, Liu Ergou answered with a smile, "Who else could it be? Your boyfriend, of course! Hurry up and open the door for your boyfriend. If you don’t open up soon, your boyfriend is going to start shouting!"
No sooner had he spoken than the door was flung open. Han Jiajia stood there in a camisole nightie, rolling her eyes at Liu Ergou.
"Annoying. Since when did I have a boyfriend?" she said irritably. "The mont you wake up, you’re not my boyfriend anymore!"
Hearing this, Liu Ergou rolled his eyes. "Jia Jia, you were the one who told to co pick you up in an hour! How could you completely forget? I ca an hour later, and I was even over ten minutes late!"
Upon hearing this, Han Jiajia imdiately snapped awake.
"Ah, I almost forgot about that!" she said, subconsciously wrapping her arms around her shoulders. "Co on in!"
When she crossed her arms, a massive ’mountain range’ appeared before Liu Ergou’s eyes. He couldn’t help but swallow hard, his gaze flaming as he looked at her.
However, Han Jiajia didn’t notice.
After getting her permission, Liu Ergou quickly walked into the apartnt. He closed the door behind him and, without hesitation, pulled Han Jiajia tightly into his embrace.
Han Jiajia hadn’t anticipated him suddenly hugging her, and she let out a small cry of surprise.
"Hey, what are you doing, Er Gou?! I’m telling you, don’t ss around! Let go of right now!"
At her words, Liu Ergou let out a sly chuckle. "What else would I be doing? Is there a problem with hugging my girlfriend? Or is it illegal for to hug my girlfriend, Officer Han?"
The last sentence was clearly ant to tease her. Han Jiajia, of course, caught his teasing tone and rolled her eyes exaggeratedly before wriggling out of his arms.
"Hmph. You’ve got a smart mouth," Han Jiajia retorted as she walked toward the living room. "You’ve had your hug now, so don’t you dare get any ideas today! Go wait in the living room. I need to wash up. I’ll be right back!"
With that, Han Jiajia headed straight for the bathroom.
Liu Ergou sat on the sofa, swallowing hard again as he watched her swaying hips. For so reason, he found Han Jiajia especially tempting today. I really want to take her right here and now.
However, his rational side told him he couldn’t do that. So, Liu Ergou sat on the sofa and started gulping down glasses of cold water, trying to suppress the fire within him.
Once Han Jiajia entered the bathroom, her calm composure vanished in an instant, replaced by a wave of panic.
Oh my god, oh my god! Why did Liu Ergou suddenly hug ? It was so unexpected, I was completely unprepared! He’s so annoying!
