Chapter 1053: Chapter 1056: The Old Man Almost Couldn’t Catch His Breath (Extra 2) Chapter 1053: Chapter 1056: The Old Man Almost Couldn’t Catch His Breath (Extra 2) Scott… Christopher Scott…

Lily’s mind went blank for a mont.

She knew of Christopher Scott, of course, the legendary figure of the Scott family, her very own great-grandfather, Christopher Scott.

“I…” She quickly organized her thoughts, because she didn’t want any complications, Larry probably hadn’t disclosed her identity yet.

If he had, the old man wouldn’t be acting like this.

“You may have misunderstood, Larry and I are not in that kind of relationship. I’m seeking Commander Scott rely because my child is missing, and I would like to ask for his help.”

Lily was sowhat overwheld now, there was just too much happening, and she hadn’t intended to acknowledge the relationship just yet.

So, it wasn’t exactly lying, as she avoided addressing Mr. Scott with any familial titles and then stated her reason for seeking out Larry.

Mr. Scott was out of town, but upon hearing Mason’s words, he was so enraged that he arranged his itinerary imdiately to return ho.

Later, he received yet another tattletale from Mason.

He was inford that not only did Larry shalessly bring a mistress to his ho, but the two of them also stayed in the study room alone, all night.

Mr. Scott was so furious, he smashed more than just two of his most beloved snuff boxes.

He imdiately had soone bring him a satellite phone, and while on the plane, he called back to the study room, preparing to confront his grandson.

Who knew the person answering the call was not his grandson as he had assud?

The one calling was not the subordinates Lily had expected either.

Both of them had made a mistake, but by sheer coincidence, they hit the nail on the head.

“Your child is missing? You’re seeking Larry, just to ask for his help?” The old man, being a wise person, wasn’t the type like Mason with a muddled mind.

The mont the call connected, the woman’s words from the other end of the study room, and her urgent tone, all were caught by the old man’s keen ears.

By that ti, he had realized that things might not be as ludicrous as Mason had described.

Still, as soone cunning and experienced, he wasn’t about to be deceived by a woman’s single statent.

“What is your na, and how did you co to know Larry? Larry isn’t the type with a soft heart who would casually go about searching for soone else’s child.”

If there was an issue, one could seek the police, but having the ability to find Commander Scott and get a et at night wasn’t sothing ordinary people could achieve.

The old man beca skeptical of Lily’s words.

Having spent so much ti in an industry full of sches and deceit, he naturally used a complicated line of thinking to analyze Lily’s words.

This analysis led him to feel that the woman might be much more cunning than he had initially believed.

Perhaps even that statent she had made earlier was deliberate.

Just as he was about to hang up and have his guards take control of this woman, waiting to interrogate her upon his return.

However, from the other end of the phone ca the woman’s voice, tinged with hesitation.

“I… my na is Lily Redington… My acquaintance with Commander Scott is sowhat complex, and it may be hard to explain it in a short ti.”

After all, he was her great-grandfather, and Lily persisted in her principle of not lying if possible.

Thus, she couldn’t avoid ntioning her own na.

But regarding how she t Larry, she used a vague description, hoping to gloss over the specifics.

Fortunately, she rembered that Sylvia had been heartbroken by the Scott family and hardly ever returned after that.

Moreover, since she was taken back to the Redington family due to her insistence, the Redingtons had also refrained from settling scores with the Ford family.

The Reddington family, predominantly residing in Europe, didn’t interact much with their Eastonian relatives.

For that reason, not only the people from the Ford family, but even the Scott family mbers, with whom they rarely interacted, were unaware of her identity.

However, after hearing her words, the old man ended up taking several deep breaths.

“You—”

“Huff—huff—”

“You are Miss Lily!”
