He glanced sideways and said to Ben.
“We adults are going to talk now, take your brother and sister downstairs.”
No matter if Lulu and Abbie were Richard Coldwell’s children or not, as long as they were Lily’s, even if Abbie spoke in an unpleasant way, Ethan still took them under his wing.
Without having won Lily’s approval yet, he already treated these two dumplings as siblings to Ben.
Ben would normally never easily obey the old man’s orders.
But clearly, he was pleased by the words ‘brother and sister’.
Ben stood up noncommittally, walked over to Lulu and Abbie, and took one by the hand.
“Let’s go, I’ll take you sowhere else to play.”
Little Lulu liked her big brother and was happy to have him hold her hand.

He narrowed his eyes slightly, adopting the authority of a big brother, “Behave.”
Little Abbie still wanted to struggle, but eting Ben’s cold gaze, she uncharacteristically forgot to resist.
It wasn’t until Ben had led them upstairs that Abbie awkwardly pulled away from his hand and asked with a blush, “Just leaving like this, won’t the old man get the wrong idea about our relationship with Uncle Coldwell?”
He was already calling Aidan Lucas ‘the old man’ now, just like Ben.
“Whether there’s a misunderstanding or not doesn’t make a difference; you don’t understand him. That man, once he’s made up his mind, even if the whole world opposes him, he’ll have his way.
So, Ben wasn’t worried about Aidan Lucas misunderstanding.
Though their father-son relationship was distant, he was one of the rare few who actually understood Aidan Lucas.
Whatever he cared about, he held tightly in his grasp.
He truly didn’t care who Mommy had been with before or whose feelings she had hurt.
“I hope that’s the case,” Abbie said, seeming to half understand, “I don’t like Richard Coldwell, and neither does Lulu.”
Earlier, when Richard Coldwell ca over and claid to be his and Lulu’s biological father, he almost made Lulu cry.
It wasn’t just Lulu; even Ben felt bewildered.
He knew the truth and really couldn’t understand how these adults could lie so easily without blushing or batting an eye.
Moreover, compared to Richard Coldwell, he actually preferred the ‘old man’ Ben ntioned to be his father.
Richard Coldwell, with his stiff and cold deanor, was sothing he couldn’t stand at all.
Thinking this, Abbie felt it was necessary to talk to Mommy.
Richard Coldwell wouldn’t lie without reason; he was soone who never lied.
Unless, perhaps, Mommy had asked him to.
“Let’s go, let’s go find Mommy.”

“You two go ahead, I won’t co.”
Even knowing that his brother and sister were of the sa blood.
Ben still didn’t know how to face Mommy.
He… didn’t bla her, really, he didn’t.
But before he could adjust, he might not dare to show up in front of her.
Especially seeing Mommy holding the other two babies, hearing them rightfully call her Mommy.
And himself, only being able to stand to the side, calling her ‘Aunt Lily’.
“Brother Ben,” just as he was lost in thought, a chubby little hand actively took hold of his right hand.
