“I’ll call Daddy and mother after visiting my great-grandfather,” Lily murmured, though she probably needed to call David Redington first.
She knew the Duke and Duchess held a poor opinion of Aidan Lucas. She had to have David speak well on her behalf.
Larry nodded, and finally said, “If you’re worried your mother might make things difficult for Aidan Lucas, I can speak on your behalf.”
Sylvia did listen to her brother Larry quite a bit.
“I…” Lily initially wanted to decline Larry’s kind offer, but thinking of her parents’ view on Aidan Lucas, she held back her refusal.
She and Larry couldn’t continue to be at odds forever.
Although Larry had indirectly wrecked her marriage to Aidan Lucas, his remorse over the years had been sufficient.

Larry was speechless for a long mont.
Only after a while did he manage to say hoarsely, “Lily, don’t worry. Your uncle will take good care of you from now on, making up for everything.”
Lily wanted to shake her head and decline; she really didn’t need any care or compensation.
She was doing well.
But before she could speak, the car stopped outside the Scott family mansion.
“Alright, here we are. Let’s get out,” Larry said as he was about to open the car door, but suddenly paused.
He turned back to look at Lily, his dark pupils carrying a warning, “The situation in the Scott family is very complicated. Rember, besides your uncle, do not trust anyone here. Even when dealing with Mr. Scott, you must remain extrely vigilant.”
After saying this, Larry got out of the car.
Lily followed him out, pondering his words.
The most senior mber of the Scott family was Mr. Scott.
