Lily, don’t worry, those people standing together and slandering you, thinking they can turn black into white, are wishful thinking. Ben is your son, that’s a fact. If need be, we can imdiately arrange for soone to do a paternity test for you and Ben.”
David’s suggestion was clearly the best, but Lily thought about what Aidan Lucas had ntioned about the so-called ‘extre asures.’
She couldn’t help but turn her head and shake the silent man.
“Aidan, what about you? You haven’t said a word. What are you thinking?” Lily clung to Aidan Lucas’s arm, shaking it.
The man seed to have just snapped out of his trance, looked down at the woman gazing up at him, and smiled with a curl of his lips.
“Nothing much, just thinking whether what I did was too much.”
Lily didn’t understand, “Too much? What?”
“Nothing… Honey, after attending the Coldwell’s banquet tomorrow night, let’s host a banquet of our own.” The man’s eyes, deep and unfathomable, hid impenetrable secrets.
“Why hold a banquet for no reason…”
“It’s a charity dinner.” Aidan Lucas lifted her delicate chin and kissed her.
Being gently kissed and held tightly in the man’s assertive embrace, Lily had no way to resist.
She could only hear him whisper in her ear, “Royal Palace is planning to sponsor so impoverished populations, so we’re going to hold an auction dinner. It’s set for next week, and I’ll invite all the relatives from the Scott family. I will apologize to them at the auction.”
“What, apologize!” Lily pushed Aidan Lucas away forcefully.
