It wasn’t until much later when the curses of her furious cousin again erupted outside the changing room that Leslie Howard snapped out of her daze.
“Gosh, do you all understand? Leslie is now the top star of the company… Can you just transfer her assistant as you please?!!”
“What—does Winona Wallace hold a candle to Leslie?”
“Her mother…”
“Fine, forget it, I won’t argue with you all. From now on, the company doesn’t need to arrange assistants for Leslie. I will find Leslie’s assistant myself!!!”
Irene Stephenson hung up the phone, frustrated, and then rembered Leslie was still in the changing room.
She knew about Leslie’s differences with Winona Wallace, and imdiately tried to soothe her in a soft voice, “Leslie, don’t take it to heart. Winona is just new in the industry, she doesn’t have well-trusted people around, so your mom allowed soone from your side to assist her.”

The usually bustling lounge, abruptly plunged into silence.

Leslie was slightly dazed with the man still holding her when suddenly, he let go of his arms.
Her, in her bare and vulnerable state, was suddenly exposed to the cold air.
Her body, involuntary shivered.
The next mont, a woolen overcoat carrying his body warmth was draped over her shoulders.
“Just now, sorry.” David Redington dropped those indifferent words and then made to leave the dressing room.
He’s not embarrassed because, in such situations, he felt it was normal male reaction.
Even if he felt nothing for this girl, that reaction would still occur.
But as he began stepping backwards, he noticed the child still standing dazed at the sa spot.
David Redington silently sighed in his heart and stepped forward, shifting his gaze.
Then, he pulled open the casually draped overcoat on her shoulders, wrapping her petite fra.
He even used a belt to tie the overcoat, which was obviously a few sizes too big for her, around her body.
“There,” David Redington nodded at her, his deep blue eyes revealing no emotions.
As David Redington was about to leave through the lounge door, Leslie Howard imdiately rushed out from the dressing room.
“Wait, you… that overcoat… I don’t know who you are, the overcoat… how do I return it to you?”
David Redington, already holding the doorknob, turned back.
He caught sight of her cute small feet poking out from the overcoat.
The pretty girl wrapped in the black overcoat, her chubby almond-shaped face frad by the coat, looked both comical and cute.
He unconsciously thought of Lulu.
He rembered the profile said, Leslie Howard started as a child star, and now she was just eighteen-years-old.
He sighed, forget it.
Considering she is a child that anyway has to be supervised daily on set, being a bit nicer to her could be seen as looking after the female lead for Lily.
“I’m David Redington, the male lead of this drama. The lounge… should be right next to yours. That overcoat, if you don’t need it anymore, can be brought next door.”
