"Bullied, her?" Austin Lucas scoffed coldly.
Of all the people in the world who could be bullied by a husband, Zara Lucas was the least likely.
Despite Zara’s face being bruised and swollen, he would bet that Gale Holbrook’s injuries were ten tis worse because of her.

In the past, it was because he believed his mother and sister that he had been so critical of Lily Gray.
Back then, Lily was genuinely doing well.
She was filial to her in-laws and polite and respectful to her sister-in-law.
The jewelry, designer bags, and everything else that Mrs. Gray had left her, she would give them up without a word if Zara Lucas and Michelle Carter took a liking to them.
Yet, back then, he had been blinded by their lies, convinced by his mother and sister that Lily was unworthy of him, that she did not deserve to be Mrs. Lucas.

Michelle Carter didn’t know what Austin Lucas was thinking, but she could feel his gaze turning drastically cold towards her, his dark eyes flickering with a blood-red ferocity.
Suddenly, Michelle Carter didn’t dare speak, and upon seeing her daughter about to throw another tantrum, she quickly pulled her back.
"We... we can talk about this matter later. Austin Lucas, if you have other matters to attend to, please go ahead, go ahead... I’ll comfort your sister, I’ll talk to her..."
Over the years, the might of Austin Lucas had grown increasingly formidable, and Michelle Carter was already no match for him.
Austin Lucas’s mind was preoccupied with thoughts of Lily Gray.
Not wanting to waste any more ti here, he nodded slightly and then stepped away.
"Mom... why did you just let brother leave like that..." As Austin Lucas’s figure disappeared, Zara complained unhappily.
