Emily Taylor was stunned for quite a while before she finally snapped back from her daze.
"So it was your friend who got drunk... You had worried there..." Emily Taylor had seen her fair share of storms; even though she was still shaken, she quickly cald herself down.
She picked up the remote control and turned on the television.
"By the way, I’ve been having insomnia these past few nights, and I just found a TV series that’s quite good. It should be starting about now... let see..."
As the sound of the television program amplified, the living room instantly beca much livelier.
It was not until then that Emily Taylor finally let out a sigh of relief.
She imdiately asked in a very soft, breathy voice, "What exactly is going on?"
’It was Austin Lucas who told ,’ Lily typed on her cell phone.

The worry in Emily Taylor’s eyes beca even more pronounced than before.
Lily went out in the middle of the night to see Austin Lucas!?
Don’t bla Emily Taylor for focusing on the wrong thing; she simply couldn’t feel at ease about that Austin Lucas.
Lily, unaware of what was on Emily Taylor’s mind, simply typed out the events of the evening on her cell phone.
’Austin Lucas found out from Nolan Lucas that they have installed a listening device around us. The so-called leverage that Theodore Lucas has is recorded from the listening device,’ she typed.
After typing out this ssage, Lily looked up at Emily Taylor.
"Mom, have Sebastian Lucas VII co over tomorrow."
At this point, Emily Taylor was, of course, ready to listen to anything Lily suggested.
Even though her own mind was in chaos, she wanted to know why Austin Lucas was being so kind to Lily.
Did Austin Lucas do anything to Lily when she went out at midnight?
Was he giving her this information so that Lily would trade sothing else in return?
But right now, it was clearly not a good ti to talk.
Before finding the listening device, their entire house was not safe.
Emily Taylor, even if she wanted to ask, didn’t dare to let her own speculations delay important matters, nor did she dare to act too hastily and alert Theodore Lucas and the others.

anwhile, Austin Lucas arrived ho to find Michelle Carter and Zara Lucas both sitting in the living room waiting for him.

Zara Lucas sitting beside her also had a smile on her face.
Their smiles looked a bit odd, as if they carried a hint of ’You can’t hide from us, we know everything’.
"Waiting for ?" Austin Lucas frowned slightly. "Wait for what?"
"Oh, Austin, stop pretending... Did you run out in the middle of the night to et Lily Redington secretly? Don’t worry, I won’t object to you two being together anymore, nor do I mind that she’s been married before. As long as she’s willing to co back and be our daughter-in-law, I promise not to make things difficult for her this ti."
"Mom, what are you talking about? I didn’t go to see Lily." Austin Lucas’s complexion cooled, his visit to Lily was supposed to be a secret.
"Austin, I am your mother. Do you really think I wouldn’t know who you are seeing? You called old Zhou to clear the area, and your sister heard it. That restaurant you bought under my na two years ago, I made a call, and old Zhou told everything."
Michelle Carter had no idea about the power struggles within the Lucas family.
She simply assud that her son had cleared out the restaurant because he was secretly dating Lily.
"You eavesdropped on my phone call?" Austin Lucas suddenly turned to look at Zara Lucas, his dark eyes revealing a cold light.
Zara Lucas was startled and quickly waved her hands, "No, I didn’t... I just happened to be passing by, brother, I really didn’t eavesdrop..."
