Emily Taylor’s cheeks flushed alternatively between red and white at the words of Abbie.
She was so concerned about Lily’s ex-husband that she hadn’t even considered things as thoroughly as a child would.
"I..." Emily Taylor looked at Lily, her eyes filled with unease, "I’m sorry, Lily. Mom didn’t think things through. I was only thinking about them and forgot to take care of your health condition."
"It’s okay, Mom. I’m fine... Abbie is just too worried about . He’s just a child and doesn’t speak carefully, don’t take it to heart."
The conversation from the day before yesterday had upset Lily a bit, but today she wasn’t too bothered by Emily Taylor’s words.
She thought that Emily Taylor was doing this just for the children and had no idea that Emily Taylor was actually trying to keep her guard up against her.
If she knew, Lily would probably be hurt by Emily Taylor’s wild imagination.
"Not at all, not at all. Abbie is just concerned for you, and Mom understands..."
When it ca to spoiling her grandson, Emily Taylor was more agreeable than Lily had imagined.
Seeing that Emily Taylor truly didn’t mind, Lily then turned to Abbie.
"Abbie, you can’t talk to grandma like that in the future. It’s okay to be reasonable and to express your point of view, but... you are not allowed to be that sharp-tongued again, got it?"
Little Abbie, though reluctantly, finally nodded his head.
"And Lulu, Mom is not tired. She can take you out to play... but the movie studio is crowded and chaotic, and Mom worries she might not be able to look after all of you properly. So, how about we wait a few days? Dad will be ho, and Mom and Dad can take you out together, is that okay?"
As soon as she heard they could go out to play, Lulu imdiately agreed with joy, seemingly having forgotten her request to visit the set.
However, Emily’s heart, which she had initially let down, was suddenly seized by anxiety.
What did Lily’s words imply?
She was actually discouraging Lulu from going with her... What was she afraid of?
Why would a woman, who usually loves playing with children, suddenly refuse to have her kids accompany her?
Emily Taylor’s imagination ran wild, feeling that Lily had another hidden agenda for going out today.

Emily Taylor suddenly rembered an anonymous text ssage she had received a couple of days ago.
Soone told her that her daughter-in-law had been going out frequently to et her ex-husband in secret.
Just thinking about it gave Emily Taylor a headache.

After breakfast, just as Lily was about to leave, Emily Taylor insisted on keeping her ho.
First she complained of a headache, then she claid her heart was racing, looking very anxious.

And so, Lily stood up David Redington, and since she wasn’t going out today, she decided to give Sadie the day off as well.
But by the ti she had arranged everything and looked back, Emily Taylor was already smiling and watching television.
Her complexion was as if nothing was wrong at all.
Lily felt a bit puzzled and was about to ask when her cell phone on the table suddenly vibrated.
"The usual place, see you in an hour for sothing important."
