David Redington suddenly clutched at Zara Lucas’s collar.
They had always thought that Michelle Carter was just being alarmist, but now it seed that wasn’t the case.
Mr. Lucas’s dark eyes flickered with unprecedented panic.
She snatched the key from Zara Lucas’s hand and shoved Michelle Carter away.
The force of the shove was so great that Michelle Carter’s body uncontrollably slamd into the wall.
Dizzy and almost feeling her bones co apart, she had no ti to struggle, gasping desperately for air as she clutched her throat.
"Mom, are you okay..." At that mont, David Redington also let go of Zara Lucas, and she cried as she rushed over.
"Who... who told you to take out the key..." Michelle Carter spoke with a strained voice.
Taking out the key would expose their plot.
If the Lucas family and Reddington family found out it was all their sche, the consequences would be far worse than just dying at Mr. Lucas’s hands.
Michelle Carter dared not even think about it, wishing she could vanish into thin air to avoid drawing the attention of these significant figures.
But at that mont, indeed, no one was paying any attention to her.
Because the key was already inserted into the lock, and Mr. Lucas was personally turning the doorknob.
With a "click," the door opened.

Emily Taylor had already decided to argue this out with her son to the end.
Even if he temporarily hated her, one day he would understand her profound concern.
"Don’t worry, I’m going in right now." Aidan Lucas looked down at Emily Taylor.
His cold gaze lacked any warmth, "However, tonight, the only person who can go in is ."

Emily Taylor had just shown her confusion when a pair of hands suddenly gripped her shoulders from behind.
David Redington’s voice, colder than ice, ca through.

Before Emily Taylor could react, David Redington forcibly pulled her away.
As she stepped aside, the door closed with a sound.
"What... what are you doing! How can this have nothing to do with , the person inside is my daughter-in-law!"
Emily Taylor couldn’t accept it; if she didn’t go in, what if Ethan covered up for Lily?
"You’re wrong, the person inside is my sister, but she’s not your daughter-in-law. Lily and Aidan Lucas have long divorced; she is the eldest daughter of the Reddington family and has nothing to do with the Lucas family. With all due respect, you have no right to be directing traffic here."
David Redington unreservedly handed Emily Taylor over to Ellie; this was the biggest concession he could make.
For Lily’s sake, the fewer witnesses to this affair, the better.
He and Aidan Lucas were prepared for the worst-case scenario.
Even if they saw Lily naked beneath another man, only Aidan Lucas would be allowed to witness it.
However, he hoped more than anything that such a dreadful scene would never unfold.

It was a two-bedroom hotel suite.
All night, the lights in the room had been on.
