Chapter 1667: Chapter 1670: Mr. Lucas’s Counterattack (Extra 4)

“Alright, everyone, let’s settle down.”

Albert Lucas, the eldest among those present, spoke up.

“Theodore, what are you doing? We’re all of the sa bloodline, and today was supposed to be about discussing your matter. Why are you kneeling? Get up, get up…”

Albert Lucas personally stood up and walked over to Theodore Lucas, intending to help him up, but was abruptly interrupted by a cold and indifferent voice.

“Uncle, you’d best not help him.”

Aidan Lucas sat directly across from Theodore Lucas.

Even with his biological father kneeling right in front of him, Mr. Lucas remained completely unmoved.

He showed no concern for the fact that a son forcing his father to kneel was an outrageous breach of ethics.

He gazed down at the pathetic display of a ‘family’ kneeling on the ground, playing the victim.

The curve of his lips ford a cruel smile.

“Aidan, what do you an by this? He is your father!” Uncle turned his head toward Aidan Lucas, his tone shaken by his actions.

Aidan Lucas paid no heed to Albert’s disapproval, raising his eyes to et him with an icy gaze.

With his voice cold and deliberate, he spoke, one word at a ti.

“Uncle, I do not have a father. My father died the mont he left A City.”

“You…” Albert Lucas felt a chill in his heart as he was confronted by the frost in Mr. Lucas’s eyes.

“Aidan, you can’t be so stubborn. Your father is clearly still alive, and he’s kneeling right here in front of you. No matter how much you misunderstand him, he is still your father. To let him kneel before you—you’re not fit for that,” the eldest uncle sneered bitterly.

“If he were truly my father, I naturally wouldn’t be worthy. But unfortunately, he is not.”

The Third Uncle, emboldened by a signal from Theodore Lucas, chid in as well: “Aidan, your oldest uncle is correct. This matter shouldn’t be dragged out—help your father up first, then we can continue the discussion…”

Mr. Lucas ignored these pleadings entirely.

His fathomless gaze remained fixed on Albert Lucas.

“Uncle, there is sothing I must clarify for you. Theodore Lucas left the Lucas family nearly ten years ago. Now, after kneeling for just one minute, you’ve softened and want to let him return. If word of this spreads, outsiders will think betraying the Lucas family is sothing that can be easily forgiven. Should the damage to the Lucas family’s reputation fall on you, the eldest uncle, or the Third Uncle…”

As Mr. Lucas spoke, he shifted his gaze among the three n.

Each person he spoke to instinctively took a step back.

They may have been willing to advocate for Theodore Lucas, but none of them wanted to shoulder the responsibility for tarnishing the family’s authority.

“Aidan, you… don’t push people too hard. If you think forgiving your father so easily is unacceptable, then say how you’d prefer this to be resolved. After all, he is still your father—blood runs thicker than water. Don’t let your mother’s words brainwash you…”

Hearing this, Mr. Lucas smirked again.

Blood runs thicker than water—how bitterly ironic this sentint was when applied to Theodore Lucas.

Had they not been so aggressive, he might not have cared as deeply.

But the more Theodore Lucas and those illegitimate children desired sothing, the less he, Aidan Lucas, was willing to let them have it.

A flicker of sardonic amusent passed through Mr. Lucas’s deep, ink-like eyes as they settled on the kneeling ‘family.’

“Letting them return is not entirely out of the question,” he said.

“Aidan…” Lily and Emily Taylor both went tense, their faces filled with apprehension as they watched him closely.

Mr. Lucas offered them a calming glance before continuing with deliberate precision: “But granting lenient conditions will make outsiders think the Lucas family’s rules are poorly enforced. So here’s the deal: since he left ten years ago, we’ll cut that ti in half. He can go to Azure Dragon Temple and serve our ancestors. After five years of service, I’ll allow his return.”

At Azure Dragon Temple resided the morial tablets of the Lucas family’s ancestors.

Serving for five full years—in five years’ ti, much would change.

Many of the elderly supporters of Theodore Lucas would likely have passed away by then.

By that point, Mr. Lucas would have complete control over the Lucas family, making any revival of Theodore Lucas’s influence nearly impossible.
