Chapter 1716: Chapter 1719: Tara Hammond Was Never Pregnant, Her Belly is Fake (2)

“Aidan Lucas, what kind of look is that?!” Theodore Lucas felt an imnse humiliation to his pride.

Now, he had finally wiped out his past disgrace and seized everything he deserved back from his son.

As his son, why wouldn’t Aidan kneel down and beg him? Why wouldn’t he weep and wail?

Mr. Lucas, however, couldn’t even be bothered to glance at him, nor waste another word. Instead, he gave a subtle look to Sebastian Lucas VII, who stepped forward imdiately.

“If you don’t believe what Liam Holbrook said, I have other evidence here.”

After speaking, Sebastian walked to the door and opened it.

No one knew what he said outside, but then two plainly dressed middle-aged won, appearing to be in their fifties, walked in.

“Sebastian, what exactly are you trying to do?”

Theodore felt nothing but disgust. Because of Tara Hammond’s words, he had already subconsciously decided that these people were nothing more than pawns summoned by Aidan Lucas to play tricks.

Seeing Sebastian not responding, he turned to Maxwell Lucas and said, “Uncle, today is an important day for the Lucas family. How could people like these be allowed to step in indiscriminately? Uncle, please speak up and have Sebastian and these people thrown out.”

Even now, Theodore remained unrepentant.

Maxwell Lucas raised his aging yet luminous eyes and cast a deep, aningful glance at Theodore, causing his heart to involuntarily shudder.

“Theodore…” Maxwell began slowly, his tone heavy with disappointnt, “I rember when you were young, you loved clinging to your mother the most. If you didn’t see her for even a mont, you’d burst into tears. Even if you were starving, you’d wait for her to co back before eating.”

“Back then, I thought, a child who loves Little Katie so much would undoubtedly cherish her deeply when he grew up. But who would have thought, you would break her heart so thoroughly for the sake of another woman.”

“Uncle…” A trace of guilt flickered in Theodore’s eyes. “I… I was only pursuing love. You… you should understand . Weren’t you the sa?”

“Heh.” Albert Lucas chuckled coldly. “Theodore, by saying that, you’re overestimating yourself and underestimating .”

“I’m not like you. I loved Little Katie, but I cared more about her happiness. I pursued love, yes, but I would never do sothing so heartless. You? Theodore Lucas, you’re not even worthy of being compared to …”

Theodore’s face turned pale.

His uncle’s disdain was written all over his face, so starkly different from the approval Maxwell seed to show before.

Alarm bells rang inside Theodore’s mind.

But he was still at a loss—why had Maxwell suddenly changed his attitude, showing such disappointnt in him?

Maxwell imdiately caught the flicker of doubt in Theodore’s expression and shook his head in exasperation. “Theodore Lucas, even now, you remain stubborn and blind. Your elder brother was right all along—you fall far short of Aidan. The Lucas family cannot be entrusted to you.”

“Uncle, you… are you out of your mind? At a ti like this, how could you say such things?”

It was Maxwell Lucas who had brought Aidan down. It was Maxwell Lucas who had supported Theodore’s rise. Theodore just couldn’t comprehend why Maxwell would suddenly betray him at such a critical mont.

And it wasn’t only Theodore; even Albert Lucas and several other elder Lucas family mbers stepped in to diate the situation.

“The one who’s out of his mind is not but you!”

Maxwell’s voice thundered, “While the others might not know, Theodore Lucas, do you dare to claim you truly don’t know how your mother died? Do you dare to say you truly have no idea that Tara Hammond was involved in this?!”

Maxwell’s tone was laced with accusation, his gaze cold and unyielding, boring into Theodore.

Theodore’s heart sank in panic, yet he forced himself to steady his nerves. “Of course I know. The one who killed my mother is the man kneeling here—Liam Holbrook. Uncle, rest assured, I will ensure he pays with his life to comfort my mother’s spirit in heaven.”

His words made it clear that he believed this had nothing to do with Tara Hammond and that he still intended to protect her.
