Chapter 1719: Chapter 1722: Tara Hammond Was Never Pregnant, Her Belly is Fake (5)

Evelyn Lucas also stepped out and pointed at Felicity Jones, saying, “Dad, look at this woman. Her face turning so red—it’s obvious she’s lying and feeling guilty.”

“Mom has stood by you all these years, raising and my brother through hardship. How can you trust an outsider over Mom?”

After saying that, she whispered softly into Theodore Lucas’s ear.

“I think these people were deliberately brought here by Aidan Lucas to cause trouble. Dad, the longer we drag this out, the more issues may arise. It’s better if we quickly get the nas inscribed on the family tree.”

Her words woke him up like soone jolted from a dream.

Theodore Lucas imdiately ‘realized’ he had fallen for Aidan Lucas’s sche.

“Hmph, Felicity Jones was nothing more than a nanny who looked after Tara Hammond over twenty years ago. We haven’t seen her in decades, so we have no idea what her character is like now. Her words are not trustworthy!”

Clearly, he no longer believed any testimony Felicity provided.

Felicity, a woman in her fifties, grew so anxious that her eyes turned red.

Everything she said was entirely the truth, but Tara Hammond’s response had exceeded her expectations.

No guilt, no redness, and even managing to turn the tables on her.

Maxwell Lucas observed coldly from the side and sneered, “Sebastian Lucas VII, since he doesn’t believe her, let’s show him what the truth sounds like.”

Sebastian Lucas VII acknowledged the order and, with a detached expression, signaled another middle-aged woman to step forward.

Tara Hammond nervously looked at the newcor.

As the stranger raised her head, revealing an unfamiliar face, Tara imdiately felt a wave of relief.

This woman didn’t even glance at Tara, as if they had never t. She simply began recounting, “It was the early autumn twenty-eight years ago. I was still working at the Edge City Maternal and Children Hospital back then…”

As soon as the first sentence left her lips, the color drained from Tara Hammond’s face.

“I rember sothing particularly strange happening at the ti. There was a pregnant woman who had been coming for her regular prenatal checkups. She was nearing her due date and had been admitted to a private room in the hospital a few days earlier—sothing that would’ve been considered very high-end twenty years ago. But she was mute, unable to speak, and had no family accompanying her, which caught our attention.”

“Two days later, she went into labor. Around the sa ti, another pregnant woman was admitted to the room next door. That second woman was incredibly peculiar; she gave birth to her child without even stepping into the Delivery Room. And during this exact sa ti, the mute woman and her newborn son vanished without a trace…”

The middle-aged woman stopped, suddenly lifting her gaze toward Theodore Lucas.

“I personally handled the child back then. I still rember that he was born with three small red birthmarks on the right side of his buttocks. A few days after the mute woman and her child vanished, I found that sa baby in the room of the second pregnant woman who had been admitted later.”

By this point, Theodore Lucas’s and Nolan Lucas’s faces had grown increasingly grim.

Especially Nolan Lucas.

The hand he had been using to support Tara Hammond instinctively loosened.

Rigidly, he turned to look at Tara, his eyes filled with countless questions and disbelief.

The middle-aged woman continued, “Later on, I reported the incident to the head nurse. But the next day, the hospital found so excuse to fire . I believe I wasn’t the only one who knew about this back then. If you don’t believe , I can find my forr colleagues from that ti to testify.”

“No, this isn’t true… Nolan, soone must’ve told her about the three birthmarks. It’s Aidan Lucas’s conspiracy! It must be Aidan Lucas who told her! Nolan, you have to trust Mom…”

Tara Hammond was panicking now, clutching Nolan Lucas’s arms as she wept and explained.

But Nolan pulled her hands away, his heartbreak evident as he countered, “Mom… have you forgotten? I thought those three birthmarks on my butt looked so ugly that, when I was six, I cried and begged you to take to the hospital to get them removed.”

“How old was Aidan Lucas the first ti he ca to our house? And when would he have ever seen such a hidden part of my body?”
