Lily has always known Ben’s temperant.
He’s wary of strangers and doesn’t like socializing much.
So Lily gently prompted, "Ben, be good, say hello. This is your grandfather and grandmother."
Little Ben glanced at his mom, saw the hopeful light in her beautiful almond eyes.
Then obediently, with a voice completely different from the one he used to speak with Lily, he said coolly,
"Hello, grandfather. Hello, grandmother."
Though his voice was crisp and calm, it still brought a delighted smile to the faces of the Duke and Sylvia Scott.
"Good, good... Ben, your grandfather ca in a hurry and didn’t bring you a gift. What do you think of this hotel? Grandpa will give it to you, okay?"
The Duke wanted to please his grandson. He and Sylvia both knew this child had a tough ti growing up, so they wanted to compensate him more.
But to their surprise, little Ben didn’t even lift his eyelids, just shook his head sullenly.
He seed unwilling to say an extra word to his grandfather.
Duke Redington was taken aback.
He was offering the Reddington Hotel, an Ultra Five-star Hotel worth one hundred fifty million Euros, yet this kid didn’t even bat an eye?!

Hearing this, Sylvia and the Duke felt a bit more at ease.

It’s not that their grandson doesn’t like them; he’s just naturally indifferent and doesn’t enjoy interacting with people.
As they comforted themselves with this thought, they saw Ben, who was sitting next to Lily, suddenly move.
He extended his little hands and climbed onto Lily’s shoulder.
"What’s wrong, Ben?" Lily thought her son had sothing to say to her and turned her head towards him.
Ben’s little hands took the opportunity to wrap around Mommy’s neck.
The little lad moved his fair, tender face closer.
With the softest, most tender lips of a child, he gently kissed Mommy on the cheek.

The little lad might be indifferent towards others, but when he saw Mommy, he missed her so much that he couldn’t wait until they were back ho to cuddle up to her in bed.
Now, he was impatient to kiss Mommy.

The next second, Ben was clinging to her, covering her with kisses.

The Duke and Duchess stayed in the country for two weeks while Aidan Lucas happened to remain in A City to handle the matters left by Theodore Lucas, managing his business while accompanying his Father-in-law and Mother-in-law.
The Duke and Duchess stayed with the Lucas family, gradually getting acquainted with the Lucas family mbers and the three little cuties.
Two weeks later, as Aidan Lucas’s vacation ended and he had to return to B City, the Duke and Duchess were also due to return to Europe.
They promised that when Lily was about to give birth, they would return to Eastonia.
At that ti, they would wait together for the youngest granddaughter’s birth.
