"Hah, Mrs. Wellington... What a rare guest. I thought after revealing your identity, you wouldn’t co to the set anymore."
Skye Brown had just walked past Sasha Hammond without greeting her, when Sasha’s clamring voice rang out.
The voice was sharp with a hint of schadenfreude, quite different from the previous sour tone.
Skye curled her lips and turned to look at Sasha.
"Sasha Hammond, why are you still on set? Didn’t you finish filming a while ago?"
"How amusing, when the esteed Miss Wellington cos to the set, how could a rising star like not co? Miss Wellington, you and Mr. Wellington played this ga, and fooled this rising star quite miserably... If only I had known you two were married, I wouldn’t have gotten involved."
With that, she flipped her hair and muttered softly, "Made feel like an idiot, thinking I had climbed up the social ladder... No wonder Mr. Wellington wouldn’t touch , turns out he was using as a ans to provoke you during your marital quarrels."
Sasha Hammond wanted to climb up, needing a sponsor, and was not principled.
But she did have a bottom line —
At least, she wouldn’t touch a married man; that was her bottom line.
Originally, because of filming, she had been taught by Skye, secretly harboring admiration for her.
Now, she knew Skye’s true identity.
Though she wouldn’t admit defeat verbally and still had a stubborn mouth.
But deep down, Sasha started to consider Skye as one of her own.
Seeing Skye just smile, looking at her, without saying a word.
Sasha got anxious: "Director Brown, not to be rude... But how can you still have ti to co to the set now? Aren’t you worried about the family affairs?"
"What family affairs could I have..." Skye chuckled lightly, her dimples shallow, causing Sasha to lose focus for a mont.
"I am the director of this film, so I must co to the set."
"You... Skye, stop pretending in front of . Your drama has long since spread... Even though you’ve got the marriage certificate with Mr. Wellington, the Wellington family elders favor Miss Williams. I’ve heard that Miss Williams graduated from a prestigious university abroad, is graceful and wise, cos from an excellent family, and is all set to be engaged to Mr. Wellington."
"Look at you, with an ordinary degree, an ordinary job as a young director. What do you have to compete with others?"
In comparison, Sasha almost felt that Skye had no chance of winning.
Compared to that ridiculous Miss, Sasha felt Skye was still better.
"You really are, in this situation, you’re not anxious!!!" For the first ti, Sasha felt what it ant for the ’king not to be anxious but the eunuch is.’
Skye couldn’t help but let out a ’pffft’ and laughed.
These past months filming with Sasha, she increasingly understood her, realizing she’s not inherently bad.
But never expected her to be such a ’funny’ person.
"Don’t worry, if the Wellington family elders don’t agree, then I’ll give up on Dylan Wellington. At worst, I’ll get a divorce, and you’ll have another chance, won’t you?"
"You... Skye, at this mont, you’re still joking around! If you really divorce Mr. Wellington, wouldn’t Miss Williams seize Mr. Wellington! Skye, can’t you muster so fighting spirit, so sense of defense."
What Sasha said nearly made Skye laugh till she fainted.
"I’m not an animal, why would I need a sense of defense? Besides... I’m so great, the Wellington family elders might not want that Miss, and choose , right?"
"You’re... You’re just overconfident..." Sasha said in a tone resentful of iron not becoming steel, "The Wellington family will abandon that Miss for you, unless the sun rises from the west!"
No sooner had she finished speaking, a gasping scene worker ran over from a distance.
"Director Brown, Director Brown... This is great, finally found you, you’ve been here. Director Brown... hurry to the set entrance, Mrs. Johnson ca personally, saying she wants to take you ho."
Sasha Hammond: "...???"
