That afternoon, Lily helped Skye cancel the ‘date’ with Lionel Anderson.
She quietly took Skye to the Reddington dical Center for a checkup.
When they were waiting in the VIP waiting room, Lily seed more nervous than Skye.
Watching Lily pace back and forth, Skye stopped her: “Lily, stop pacing. You’re making my head spin.”
Skye suddenly had the illusion that Lily was nervous like a first-ti father.
“I’m just nervous…” Lily’s words were just as Skye guessed.
“Skye, you don’t know, I’ve been calculating the age difference between our child and the one in your belly. What if you have another daughter? She can marry our Andrew. I’ve already planned it. Molly can be with our Ben, and this little one can be with Andrew.”
“But the trouble is, if you have a son, he can only be with our youngest, Yana. But that would an a sister-brother relationship…”
Lily frowned, seemingly troubled by the thought.
Yana is several years older, and if Skye has a son, he’d be much younger.
“But a sister-brother relationship is fine, too. They say a woman three years older is a treasure…” Lily seed to console herself and in turn, comforted Skye.
This left Skye with a helpless smile.
Only their Lily would think of such things.
Just as they were talking and laughing, there was a knock on the waiting room door.
The woman doctor who did Skye’s checkup ca in.
“Miss Wellington, Miss Brown…”
The doctor from the Reddington Group politely greeted Lily and them.
“Miss Brown’s dical report is ready. Miss Brown, we have confird you’re six weeks pregnant. Congratulations, you’re going to be a mother.”
After the doctor finished, she added so precautionary advice for Skye’s condition.
Lily listened intently, while Skye, on the other hand, was spaced out, her eyes slightly vacant, staring into space, as if she couldn’t believe it.
She… is going to be a mother again?
She is really carrying Dylan Wellington’s child…
Even though Skye always had a feeling, she never dared to believe it until the last mont.
But now, with the doctor announcing the results in front of her, she could finally be certain that she was truly, genuinely pregnant.
“Skye, Skye…” After sending off the doctor, Lily shook the obviously still dazed Skye.
Lily laughed, “Skye, are you so happy you’re lost in a daze? Snap out of it… you…”
“Lily, no, I can’t keep this child…” Skye suddenly ca to, urgently grabbing Lily’s hand, cutting her off.
“Lily, you said you’d help ! I’m begging you to help end this pregnancy!”
Lily: “…”
[We’ll end here for today. I was stuck in traffic after work, completely unmoving. Will cover the last ti and the past two days over the weekend]
