She leaned against the wall behind the porch, lowered her head, her long hair falling to cover half of her face, also hiding the vulnerability in her eyes.
The closest person was finally taken away too.
Leslie Howard, you have to be strong... Get out of this quagmire as soon as possible. When you can make more money, you can bring your cousin back, maybe even leave this damned company.

David Redington had unknowingly risen from bed.
He casually threw on a bathrobe, the loose garnt hanging on his body, revealing part of an enticing, perfect physique.
His open bathrobe was right in front of her eyes. If Leslie Howard only lowered her head slightly, she would et his broad and firm chest exposed outside the robe.
And David Redington reached out his hand, resting it by her ear.
His tall figure enveloped her.
"Feeling sad?" The man’s deep, magnetic voice was tinged with a raspy laziness.
That was a characteristic lingering after their recent intimacy.
"No, such a small thing wouldn’t get to , I’m not sad." Leslie Howard lifted her head and shook it at David Redington.
Yet seeing the woman pretending to be strong, the man’s dark blue deep eyes were instead filled with a trace of pity.
His long fingers caressed the woman’s delicate face, gently stroking it.
"Mm, good girl... It’s very late, sleep soon."
David Redington lowered his head, softly kissing Leslie Howard’s forehead.
He didn’t say much, didn’t promise to stand up for Leslie Howard, just kissed her and then wrapped her in his arms.
Curled up in the man’s embrace, Leslie Howard felt comfortable at this mont.
She didn’t need anyone’s sympathy, nor did she like idle promises from others.
Because to her, all promises were false, and she could only hold onto what she could grasp.
David Redington didn’t comfort her emptily, rather making her feel much more at ease.
Nestled against David Redington’s firm chest, listening to his clear and strong heartbeat, at this mont, Leslie Howard felt very secure.

Waking up at daybreak, Leslie Howard was stirred by her own cell phone alarm.
Her alarm went off every morning at five o’clock.
The reason was simple; although she was one of the heroines, her status wasn’t as high as Winona Wallace’s, nor was her fa any better.
The filming schedules were divided into morning, noon, and evening sessions.
For soone like her, she would definitely shoot the earliest and latest scenes, unless she happened to participate in a scene with David Redington, then she could enjoy the best filming slot in between.
"Ugh..." The first half of last night was exhausting, but the latter half was quite restful.
After turning off the alarm, Leslie Howard reflexively squinted her eyes and sat up, intending to stretch.
Unexpectedly, halfway up, a long arm pressed her back onto the bed.
"Leslie..." The man whom Leslie Howard had completely forgotten was hugging her tender body, his thin lips instinctively blowing cool air at her neck and softly nibbling.
David Redington, she almost forgot this important figure.
But, no way... Getting so exciting just after waking up!
