When Leslie Howard erged from the bathroom, David Redington was already up and impeccably dressed.
She raised an eyebrow slightly, revealing a hint of surprise.
But then she thought it was quite normal.
God David Redington should have just felt ’coldly rejected’ by her.
Considering David Redington’s reputation and background, he would probably think she was ungrateful.
Now he probably will just leave directly, and it’s best to not associate with this woman who doesn’t recognize greatness at a glance from now on.
Leslie Howard didn’t particularly care about it; although she needed David Redington’s help now, the help wasn’t significant enough for her to exchange her feelings for it.

And David Redington’s proposal to ’date with marriage as the premise’, to her, was rely a fleeting novelty.
Having left her teenage years behind and matured almost overnight, Leslie Howard could no longer indulge in those pink dreams that belonged to young girls.
The fantasy of marrying a heartthrob should be left to those young girls who are not yet worldly-wise and have never been hit by the harshness and twists of reality.
Thinking of this, Leslie Howard couldn’t help but smile coyly and walked over to David Redington.
She deliberately caught the belt of David’s overcoat and whispered lightly, "Ms. Redington, you can’t be so petty and mad at others, and you mustn’t forget what you promised. Today’s kissing scene, don’t shoot it with Winona Wallace."
While speaking, her delicate white hand seed to unintentionally brush across the shirt at David Redington’s waist underneath his overcoat.
She actually knew that David Redington was interested in the current her.
How could he not be interested?
Leslie Howard, once a prodigy, naturally knew that n like David Redington, who had never faced setbacks, have never encountered a ’mischievous temptress’ like her.
But interest is just interest; it’s the novelty that supports it.
While David Redington’s novelty towards her was still plentiful, she could afford to act freely.
But this novelty isn’t love, and when one day it disappears, Leslie Howard to David Redington would just be a speck of dust among the masses.
Her coquettish coquetry indeed worked.
David Redington’s long and distinct hand pressed down on her restless little hand, and he coldly said, "Alright."

Leslie Howard imdiately gave David Redington a dazzling smile: "Thank you, Ms. Redington, then I’ll go shoot the scenes first."
With that, she withdrew her hand from David Redington’s mighty grasp.
David Redington neither stopped her nor asked her to stay, watching Leslie Howard carry a seemingly heavy, fully packed travel bag, and walk out the door.

Arrived at the set, lounge.
Leslie Howard huffed and puffed as she placed her travel bag, necessary for filming, on her dedicated seat.
There were only two actors in the crew with private lounges and makeup rooms, and they were David Redington and Winona Wallace.
Other than that, even though Leslie Howard was one of the heroines, all her treatnts deeply aligned with her current position—sharing a large lounge and makeup with other actors.
Leslie Howard was unpacking her cup, standby overcoat, hot water bottle, and other things from the travel bag.
Usually, her cousin Irene Stephenson would help her, but now she was alone, having to do everything herself.
Just after Leslie Howard got a cup of hot water and was thinking of grabbing so breakfast since she hadn’t eaten yet, she heard a voice calling over by the makeup mirror.
"Miss Howard, co over quickly, once we’re done with your makeup, the others will need to do theirs. We should start early."
