Just "dear"?
In David Redington’s deep blue eyes, a hint of chill flashed.
He wanted to hear more than just "dear"; he wanted more.
But David Redington knew, that now Leslie Howard would never say the two words he wanted to hear.
Forget it, take it step by step.
No longer troubling Leslie Howard, David Redington gently kissed her lips and lifted the woman leaning against the door horizontally.
"Wait, David... didn’t you say you were going to help ?"
Leslie Howard saw she was about to be tossed onto the bed by David Redington, and couldn’t help but grab his collar.
Helping her, why throw her onto the bed, shouldn’t he arrange for soone to clarify for her?
The man lowered his gaze, his deep eyes hiding an indecipherable gleam.
"What do you call , hmm?"
Leslie Howard: "..."
This man, insisting she call him that, yet he keeps pushing his luck.
But under the eaves, one has to bow their head. Leslie Howard murmured, "dear."
"Good girl." David Redington placed her on the bed, hooked her chin, and kissed her.
Not until her soft lips were slightly swollen did he stand up and release her.
Leslie Howard showed a bit of confusion, not understanding what David Redington was up to.
The next mont, she saw him take out his cell phone and open the cara function.
Imdiately, David Redington’s incredibly handso face leaned over, pressing against her face.
From the selfie cara, the image on the screen showed her and David Redington’s heads leaning together on the pillow, and her red lips slightly swollen, clearly showing the signs of recent affection.
There was a click as David Redington pressed the selfie button.
"What, what are you doing..." Leslie Howard was startled, she didn’t expect David Redington to press it.
David Redington, satisfied, stared at the screen without lifting an eyelid, "I promised you, to clarify for you."
"How are you going to clarify?" Leslie Howard suddenly felt a sense of unease.
David Redington: "By posting this photo on my Twitter, it can shut those people up. Aren’t you being attacked? Let them know you’re my woman, that will naturally shut their mouths."
She knew it!
Leslie Howard almost burst into tears at David Redington’s so-called "solution".
She snatched David Redington’s cell phone, "You are not allowed to post it, this isn’t helping, it’s making trouble."
Leslie Howard hid the cell phone behind her back, frowning as she explained to David Redington: "The key issue with the dirt online now is saying I seduced the director and screenwriter to get more scenes. It’s also saying I used unspoken rules to steal Winona Wallace’s role. Okay... I admit, perhaps in so sense the latter isn’t wrong. But the stuff about Director Henson and the screenwriter is definitely slander."
"So what I need to do now is clarify, not make people think I climbed up the ladder with my looks, or used unspoken rules to squeeze out others. At this ti, I absolutely can’t be involved with a big na like you, understand?"
Leslie Howard believed she made herself very clear.
However, upon hearing her words, David Redington shook his head: "I don’t understand."
Leslie Howard: "What?"
She doubted her own ears.
Yet David Redington looked at her, focusing intently and seriously said: "Your thing with Director Henson and the screenwriter is false, so it’s slander. But Leslie, our relationship is real. After the photo is made public, we can officially date. If you’re willing, we can even get married..."
"No, impossible." Before David Redington could finish speaking, he was interrupted by Leslie Howard.
"You don’t understand at all, I could never get married... I’d rather bear the slander and keep a relationship of mutual benefit with you, but I do not want to get married. This way, it’ll be good for both of us..."
