"Kissing again... David, my cousin is still here."
Leslie Howard pushed against his hard chest, trying to create so distance between them.
She struggled briefly to escape from the man’s clutches.
"Ah, I’m, I’m fine..." Irene Stephenson, hearing her cousin, waved her hand quickly despite her flushed face, "You two continue, continue..."
How could you joke about it? When God David Redington was rejected by Leslie, his gaze alone could kill.
Irene, assessing the situation, dared not be a third wheel.
Seeing her cousin’s "timid look," Leslie Howard was amused to the point of laughing.
She told Irene, "Don’t be afraid of him, he’s nothing but a paper tiger..."
Turning around, she wrapped her arms around David Redington’s neck and playfully said, "You, don’t scare my cousin."
When Leslie Howard spoke, her coquettish deanor was evident, her moist eyes gazing at David, her lips slightly pouting and flushed from his kisses.
She was like a rose on the verge of blooming, tender and beautiful.
Such a Leslie Howard just made one want to tease her rcilessly.
David Redington’s deep blue eyes darkened slightly, and in a low, hoarse voice, he said, "Alright."
He would listen to her... and then, after tricking her back ho, he would devour her.
So she’d know if he was really a paper tiger.
"Mm, that’s a good boy." Leslie Howard didn’t suspect anything, and even pecked David’s sexy thin lips as a reward.
Being praised as ’a good boy’ by Leslie in front of Irene, David not only didn’t feel his manhood was diminished, but he particularly enjoyed the woman’s proactive kiss.
After the kiss, Leslie had David put her down and pushed him towards the door: "The moving company people should be here soon, you better go... It’s not good for others to see you here."
A mont ago, David thought that the woman had finally co around to prioritize him.
The next mont, he felt rejected.
Was he so unacceptable?
Seemingly guessing David’s thoughts, Leslie said, "We agreed to keep our relationship secret for now, not to make it public. I’ve been bashed enough these past few years, and now I’ve only just caught a break. If any rumors about us get out, your fans would drown in spit."
"If you marry and beco Mrs. Redington, they will adore you together," David tried to persuade the woman.
Leslie shook her head: "No, I’m not ready for marriage yet, I don’t want to rush into it just to avoid trouble. That would be irresponsible for both and you."
If you’re not ready, you can’t marry.
If you’re not ready, you can’t be parents.
This is sothing Leslie had concluded from her own life experiences.
One must be responsible, and if you can’t be responsible, it’s better not to proceed.
David: ...
His woman seed headstrong, yet at tis, she appeared to bear too much.
"Alright, I’ll wait for you." His large hand landed on the back of Leslie’s head, ssing up her long hair, and David gently kissed her hair.
"Mm, now go quickly."
As she spoke, Leslie went to open the door.
Who would have thought that as soon as she opened the door, she would see two rows of bodyguards in black standing pressed together, filling the narrow hallway of the condominium.
"This, this is..." Leslie’s face showed astonishnt as she pointed at the n in black outside and asked.
And the bodyguards, standing in two rows, upon seeing Leslie, all bowed.
With a standard ninety-degree bow, all the bodyguards spoke in unison, "Good afternoon, Madam, we’re here to help you move."
Leslie: "..."
