“Aidan Lucas, I am telling you, I quit!”
Lily held back her tears and pushed him away with all her might.
Even as the tears fell from her eyes, she bore the pain and stood up from the lounge chair.
“What are you doing? You have an injury on your foot; you can’t just move around recklessly.”
Aidan Lucas’s face turned ashen as he forcibly pulled the furious woman back to sit properly on the lounge chair.
She had actually used her injured palm to push him away; how could she not know how to take care of herself!
“Aidan Lucas, I said I quit. I want to resign; I want to leave this place.”
She was a fool just now, to be deceived by his kiss.
She was so foolish to think that he had decided to stop ignoring her and wanted to reconcile with her.
How stupid of her, her head clouded by the excitent of the mont, forgetting about the woman he had a date with last night.
If he liked her, he wouldn’t have ignored her for no reason.
If he liked her, he wouldn’t possibly go on a date with another woman.
It was her own foolishness, her own stupidity, forgetting… just as she had changed, he was no longer the Aidan Lucas of four years ago.
“Sit still; you have injuries on both your hand and foot.” The man’s voice was cold, stopping her from acting rashly.
He enveloped her in his arms and carried her back to sit on the lounge chair.

Even though Lily was hugged from behind and couldn’t see his expression clearly,
just the warning whispered into her ear in a hoarse voice was enough to chill her to the bone.
She stood her ground and retorted, “Why shouldn’t I dare? I’m just your employee. Once I submit my resignation letter, I can leave. To tell you the truth, my resignation report is all typed up and is in…”
Lily then realized that her resignation report seed to have been dropped in the outside office.
“Employee?” His voice grave as he took up her words, “You say you’re just my employee?”
Before Lily could react,
the man kissed the woman’s delicate and rounded earlobe from behind.
“Aidan Lucas, have you gone mad!?”
Lily gasped for air, struggling to get up from his embrace.
But her soft waist was gripped tightly by his strong arms.
The man ignored her struggling.
He continued to hold her affectionately.
In a deep, slow voice, he casually asked, “I wasn’t aware that an ordinary employee had the duty to take care of their employer’s physiological needs.”
“What, what are you saying?”
The man’s voice, skimming past her ear, made her miss half a heartbeat.
“What I am saying, don’t you understand?” The man continued to nibble on her earlobe while his long fingers pointedly traced over the concealer-covered bruises on her neck.
Such an obvious movent suddenly made Lily think that the events of last night had been exposed.
No, impossible!
She told herself not to panic; it didn’t an anything.
Lily forced herself to remain calm, deliberately ignoring the tingling sensation coming from her earlobe.
In the most stable voice she could muster, she replied, “I’m sorry, Mr. Cooper, I don’t understand what you’re saying. However, if you continue to speak like this, I can file a complaint against you for sexual harassnt in the workplace.”
“Oh?” Aidan Lucas raised his eyebrows slightly.
Following the trail from her earlobe, he bit her neck gently yet firmly.
