Wen Ying didn’t expect the two officers to be so cooperative. ’If they had insisted she was talisman painting, she would have never admitted it.’

"One dose of dicine is one thousand."

"We know your prices. Can we get twenty sheets to start?"

"Of course. Please wait a mont, you two."

The two n and Uncle Zhang stood to the side. Uncle Zhang’s face was filled with pride, as if this child now serving the country was his own daughter.

"Little Ying is probably about to draw. Let’s not make a sound."

The two police officers nodded. They understood, they got it. This kind of work could absolutely not be interrupted. It had to be done in one go to be effective!

Wen Ying took out twenty sheets of Yellow Paper, pulled the ballpoint pen tucked into her hair bun, and sat down.

She scribbled and sketched.

In less than five minutes, Wen Ying stacked the twenty sheets of Yellow Paper and walked over to the two n.

"I can pay by scanning a code, right?"

One of them prepared to make the paynt while the other took the talisman paper and casually glanced at it.

’What in the world was drawn on this top sheet?’

"Let see if it’s a little koi fish or Pleasant Goat!" Uncle Zhang leaned in excitedly.

"Is this... ’Justice’?" The n looked at it from several different angles to confirm the word, which was drawn as ornately as a flower. It really was: Justice!

Flipping to the second sheet: Victory

Third sheet: Safety

It took Wen Ying five minutes to write... or rather, draw these, but it took them a full ten minutes to process the words written on the talisman paper!

Justice, Victory, and Safety were all understandable; after all, they were blessings written specifically for their mission.

But those other ones that were randomly thrown in... could you even write the Core Socialist Values on these? (Written out and then deleted.)

Wen Ying blinked at them. "Don’t worry, officers. The dicine is guaranteed to work. If there’s even the slightest mishap, the next batch is on ."

That one sentence quashed all the unspoken complaints the two n were about to voice.

"Fine! Of course we trust Doctor Wen. But could we test one sheet first?"

The money wasn’t coming out of their own pockets; it was from the station’s funds. With a limited budget, they had to be certain there were no issues before they could pay.

Wen Ying understood their reasoning and concerns. "Who wants to try it? The test is on ."

The younger officer stepped forward. "I’ll do it."

"Master, just take that knife and slash ," the young officer said to the older one.

The older officer was stunned. "What nonsense are you spouting, you brat! Is this sothing to joke about?! You’re still young! If sothing happens to you, what about your wife and kids?!"

"Master, I’m single..."

"Shut up! I’ll do the test! You little rascal, you take the knife!"

"Gentlen, you could just poke a random spot. There’s no need to aim for a vital organ," Wen Ying couldn’t help but point out.

Uncle Zhang, standing to the side, was also holding back a laugh. ’I never expected these two officers to be so amusing,’ he thought.

It was a classic case of being unable to see the forest for the trees.

The two officers were only thinking about dangerous missions where the situation would never be so mild, so their first instinct was to aim for a fatal spot. After Wen Ying’s reminder, neither of them could stop their faces from turning red.

Even for a minor wound, the older officer still insisted on being the one to be stabbed.

The younger officer couldn’t bring himself to do it. In the end, it was Wen Ying who, with her eyes closed, threw the knife directly at the older officer. The older officer was holding a sheet of talisman paper with "Safety" drawn on it.

Everyone except Wen Ying stared, unblinking, at the knife’s trajectory. They could only watch as it flew straight toward the older officer’s eye.

The knife stopped less than a centiter from his eye—
