The Sequences available for purchase were few and far between, and most of them were related to luck, which Bai Wu did not need. However, he could buy them for his teammates, but... he didn’t have enough chips to do so right now.

As for the Innate Force... So far, only the miner and Little Mustache possessed it, and neither of them had lost enough to have their Innate Force forcibly confiscated by the casino.

Bai Wu had no intention of taking advantage of these two either.

Among the items that could be exchanged, there were many Evil Fallen entries, but the problem was that normal humans could not use the entries of Evil Fallen unless they had Cain’s special abilities.

Bai Wu thought to himself that it would be great if Hong Yin were in this casino.

He could win a certain number of chips and do so serious DIY on Hong Yin. Perhaps under the influence of certain Sequences, he could even transform her into a muscle-bound, physically-oriented Little Hong.

Bai Wu continued to participate in the betting gas.

In less than half an hour, he had won quite a few chips and then distributed these chips to his teammates.

With chips in hand, the rest of the teammates also began to join the betting gas.

As soone who disliked having worries when conducting his affairs, Bai Wu had taken everything into consideration.

To ensure his teammates could leave smoothly, and to ensure that the biggest accidents did not co from within their own ranks, Bai Wu and his teammates established an oath.

They would gamble with the smallest chips purely for entertainnt, and once they lost down to twenty-four, they would imdiately stop and refuse any and all invitations to make an oath.

With such rules in place, Bai Wu relaxed and began to look for his own gas to bet on.

Lin Wurou started playing roulette with others, which seed to be a pure contest of luck, but the trajectory of the ball actually tended to certain outcos. And Lin Wurou’s choices also showed a tendency, stubbornly picking the sa number as if out of defiance.

With the help of his eyes, Bai Wu already foresaw Lin Wurou losing three consecutive rounds, but it was not a big problem.

Yin Shuang turned to blackjack, a ga that demanded higher computational skills. Fortunately, Yin Shuang played with ease, while her opponent seed to struggle.

Evil Fallen lost several hands within ten minutes, and Yin Shuang even had extra money to buy herself a permanent Sequence—426: Shujing Fengxi.

This was also one of the few sowhat useful auxiliary Sequences on sale at the casino. If the Talent Sequence 399: Heart Like Still Water was a type of Sequence that could greatly resist negative emotions, then Shujing Fengxi was for team-based effects.

It could make a range of friendly units calm, but the effect was much less than that of Heart Like Still Water.

Wang Shi, Shang Xiaoyi, and Wu Jiu joined a group betting ga called "Truth Lies in the Hands of the Few," on Bai Wu’s recomndation.

The rules were simple; twenty-two people would play together, with a host posing questions like—Does truth lie in the hands of the few? Is freeloading savory? If soone marries a dead person and the dead turn out to be feigning death, does it count as widowhood in reverse?

Each person had to answer yes or no, write their response on a slip of paper, and then hand it to the dealer.

In the end, the side with fewer people would advance to the next round. If the number of players answering yes and no was the sa, the match would be invalidated, and they’d start over.

Until only one person remained.

The key to the ga was not the questions themselves, because getting them wrong didn’t matter; you had to guess which answer would be in the minority. Only the few could advance to the next round.

At first glance, the ga seed to be about luck, but in reality, it was about communication between people. With proper manipulation, you could ensure to be on the minority side and keep winning.

Bai Wu also shared the thod with the captain, but whether the captain could do it or not was not Bai Wu’s concern; this ga would take so ti.

He had to go on winning money frantically next.

Card tables, dice gas, even slot machines and mahjong were all there; wherever Bai Wu went, he was unbeatable thanks to his two bond-enhanced eyes.

Since there weren’t many custors in the casino, Bai Wu couldn’t keep a low profile. His high win rate soon created—

a mysterious aura around Bai Wu.

Whenever Bai Wu approached, the Evil Fallen couldn’t help but stand up.

And every ti he won a few dozen chips, Bai Wu would call over a server.

The casino’s servers offered many services, of course—this was a Royal Casino, but not an online Royal Casino, so there were no sexy dealers dealing cards online.

The servers Bai Wu could summon were all "old children," whose purpose was to bring so drinks. Food and drink from outside the tower, naturally, could not compare to what was available within.

And each ti he called over a server—these "old children" with only one day left to live—Bai Wu would intentionally or unintentionally ask so questions.

"How did you end up here?"

"What a strange question the guest asks, I have always belonged to the casino."

"What about your parents?"

"Parent... Parents... Ah, it was the casino that gave life, honorable guest."

"Do you have any mories of the High Tower?"

"High Tower... a very familiar word, but I can’t rember. I belong to the casino; guests can ask about the casino."

"Will you stay in the casino forever?"

"Of course, where else could I go? I was born indebted to the casino, but the casino kindly took in. I must work hard to repay the owner’s kindness."

"Who is your owner?"

"Your current level does not have the authority to ask about that, cough cough, you should try to increase your chips, respected guest."

Bai Wu had asked many casino workers, but unfortunately, these people seed to have retained only a basic sense of service.

Their mories all belonged to the casino, and the information that could be obtained from their mouths was limited to the ways so gambling gas were played and so basic services of the casino.

The High Tower, even their human identities, seed to have been forgotten.

As the note said, what’s frightening is not the debt, but the life of those who have grown accustod to repaying it.

That seahorse might know so secrets, but clearly, the seahorse wasn’t going to divulge anything.

Bai Wu could only continue to participate in gambling.

He had played many strange gambling gas in succession. Most were little gas from his forr life, but all with so grand slam way of playing.

This caused Bai Wu’s chips to accumulate very quickly.

Two things then happened in succession.

The first was that an hour had passed, and according to the casino’s rules, everyone had sothing taken from them again by force, but it could be retrieved with chips.

Many gamblers who had no chips left began to be driven to desperation.

So Evil Fallen beca weak, so imdiately looked lost, and so even underwent changes in their physical appearances.

So terms affect the appearance of Evil Fallen; after being deprived of these terms, their true forms are revealed.

But this was not the end. What puzzled Lin Wurou and the others was that so gamblers had already stayed for twenty-four hours and were penniless, but they still chose not to leave.

Instead, they continued to sell sothing from their bodies in exchange for chips.

This is what’s called being addicted; they were no longer concerned with much but were only focusing on making a coback with one good turn.

Seeing this scene, Seahorse chuckled rrily.

Bai Wu’s mory was taken again, but with enough chips in hand, he redeed it imdiately.

Bai Wu discovered that only after reclaiming his mory did he realize he had lost it, and that the mory taken when entering the casino was the sa mory.

At the very beginning, when he first lost his mory, he did not even know what he had lost. If a person completely forgets sothing, they are not conscious of the act of "forgetting".

The mories of a lifeti are so nurous that having the sa mory twice in a row is an extraordinary coincidence.

When Bai Wu began to redeem that part of his mory, he felt a mont of bewildernt.

It was a mory of Bai Wu saying farewell to his father, who was seriously ill at the ti.

Even if he discarded this mory, Bai Wu would not lose any skills or change his temperant.

He actually did not consider the mory important, at least that’s what Bai Wu thought, but when Prayle’s Eye provided feedback on the mory loss, even without rembering what was lost or feeling that anything was amiss, he still redeed the mory at the first opportunity.

In the mory, there was a private hospital’s deluxe ward where Mr. Bai leisurely ate an apple, watching the drizzle outside the window, and inquired about Bai Wu’s recent circumstances.

By then, the father and son had not seen each other for several years because of Mr. Bai’s excessively unorthodox thods—Bai Wu had already lost a part of his emotions.

He did not feel pity for his father, a doctor, appearing so wretched and near death, emotionally or physically; he was very calm.

Mr. Bai was also composed, saying,

"Your coming to see at this ti is quite unexpected."

"I just heard about your incurable disease and that you don’t have much ti left. I wanted to see if you could still be as hypocritical in the face of death as you were before," Bai Wu asked with an expressionless face.

"As hypocritical as before, this world only has hypocrisies that have not been exposed. You must be very disappointed. Death is just the beginning of the next journey," Mr. Bai said with a smile, skewering a piece of apple with a toothpick.

The apple was not bought by Bai Wu. Over the years, as a friendly, amiable neighbor and a doctor who could do everything, Mr. Bai’s sudden serious illness made many people feel regretful and co to visit.

"That really doesn’t sound like you. I thought you would tell that death is the end of all things. Besides that, it has no other aning."

"These two sentences may seem contradictory, but sotis contradictions can reconcile. Want one?"

Mr. Bai tossed an apple to Bai Wu, who caught it and then placed it on the table.

"I ca to see you, not to exchange so aningless chitchat."

"I know, you’re here to ask a question you’ve asked many tis before."

Mr. Bai’s gaze remained fixed on the window, while Bai Wu leaned against the wall, looking at the opposite wall.

After a few seconds of silence, Mr. Bai said,

"There’s no reason. To , you were just an object. Destroying an object, using an object, sculpting an object, or keeping it stored away was all just a whim of mine."

Bai Wu left. Though the next day, he visited Mr. Bai again.

These two, who did not resemble a typical father and son, mostly had simple interactions, and occasionally discussed cases.

But as the illness worsened, their relationship did not improve; in fact, it deteriorated even more.

It seed as if an unrealistic hope was finally negated by the very person who had conceived it.

Bai Wu, already with little expectation, remained emotionally still inside.

For Mr. Bai, it was as if the arrival of death was truly just a train heading towards so other journey.

...

The second matter.

Under Bai Wu’s miraculous gambling skills, the entire casino felt the terror of his presence.

To many Evil Fallen, this man had transford from a god of gambling to a deity in the purest sense.

Bai Wu’s chips kept increasing, and only a small portion were won from gambling with Evil Fallen or humans.

Most of the chips, he had won through the house gas.

Bai Wu, carrying a large amount of chips, caught the attention of the casino’s upper echelons.

Seahorse found Bai Wu:

"Esteed guest, please forgive my previous misjudgnt. Your gambling skills are truly exquisite. With the strength you’re currently displaying, as well as the quantity of chips, I believe these minor gas no longer suit you. Perhaps you could consider advancing to the second floor?"

"What kind of gas are there on the second floor?"

"That depends on which gas you choose, but they will definitely be more thrilling than the ones you’ve been playing on the first floor."

...

...

Black Gold Island.

This is a gigantic island hiding countless treasures, although many Evil Fallen have heard of Black Gold Island’s legends and seen the envoys of the Black Gold Island Master.

But only a few Evil Fallen have been to Black Gold Island to see what it looks like and discover how many treasures it truly holds.

Even to this day, the exact location of Black Gold Island in the seas remains unknown.

The island is shrouded in fog all year round, causing even the Evil Fallen on the island to often lose their way.

Deep within the island, in a certain stone cave hiding a water pool, if one dives deep enough, they can pass through the pool, beyond layers of sea beasts, Evil Fallen, and seaweeds, arriving at a palace beneath the island.

Within the depths of the palace, amidst strange items and the sound of iron being hamred, a "rchant" was on a call with soone.

Aside from the "rchant," there were a "blacksmith" and an unknown guest.

"The opponent is formidable, but we don’t know his innate force. He’s like a soothsayer, winning all gas with a grand slam. The total chips have even started to tilt... Should we kick him out?" The voice of the casino owner ca through the phone.

"Kick him out? Ho ho ho ho, my money is hard-earned... Maintaining this casino’s operations and providing you with enough powerful support costs a great deal of wealth. I’m no philanthropist. He’s won too much; he’s crossed the line. Get rid of him for . I hate those greedier than ."

"Ho ho ho ho, I was just waiting for you to say that! I will personally take care of him!"

The call ended.

The blacksmith continued to forge weapons in the corner, undistracted, while the mysterious guest said:

"It seems your casino has encountered an incredible gambler."

"Indeed, the last ti we t soone who could win anything like this was that person endowed with the power of prophecy."

"And this ti?"

"If you’re interested, we can watch together how he gets torn apart by the God of Wealth."

"God of Wealth" is the owner of the casino, and as the underling of the rchant, he possesses formidable combat capabilities.

Though this isn’t the first ti the casino has encountered an undefeated gambler since opening, the rchant doesn’t believe this guest will be more troubleso than the last one.

In the room on Black Gold Island, there are several screens, each corresponding to different areas.

These areas are all hiding industries under the rchant’s command. Even though the Evil Fallen can’t leave their respective areas, this also ans there are fewer variables in doing business.

The rchant and the mysterious guest were both watching the second floor of the casino through the central screen.

When a certain High Tower human appeared in their view, a look of confusion showed in the mysterious guest’s eyes.
