Yet, Yan Zizai felt a constant, shocking difference.

Comparing this secret to the twisted tower outside, it’s not surprising it’s difficult to accept.

He spoke of his own secret.

Ah, Captain Bai was originally very confused about this, but Yan Zizai’s explanation made Little Bai suddenly understand, though Little Bai still didn’t quite get it.

"You don’t need to hide this person, you can speak out about your true age, because your youthful appearance doesn’t match you," said Yan Zizai, giving Little Bai a serious warning.

After speaking a few words, he invited Little Bai out of the tower, hoping to find her. Little Bai was similar to Captain Bai, there could be a question about her leaving the tower before.

It’s not easy to let people know the sequence, you have to protect yourself well, Captain Bai had said before. It’s not that these words were easily said, Little Bai knew that much.

"I wouldn’t dare deceive you."

"Is what you’re saying true?"

He felt that only those who lived up to seven hundred years could possibly be immortals, and that was why he had always thought so.

This was just too absurd to be born of. He would not deceive people, and he believed that this child’s words were true, because Yan Zizai had already imprinted his own master’s manner into his character, though Yan Zizai hadn’t actually deceived Little Bai.

Yan Zizai should have felt that he himself had been played by Captain Bai and therefore had planted a liar by his side; logically, Captain Bai would be the one to notice this.

"But I should have also been over seven hundred years old... I just can’t rember," said Little Bai.

"How long?"

Yan Zizai wondered if he had heard wrong.

"I... have co from a ti before, from the tower," said Little Bai, looking down as she spoke.

"How long have you lived? Just being thirteen in appearance, people will look down on you, and with you being so timid, this has nothing to do with being just a child," he said.

"To grow a bit more mature is necessary, I too am very frustrated, I’ve been the only one protecting this child straight through," he said.

"Is what you’re saying true?"

Why is this person so detailed?

Was it because of a conversation with Captain Bai that made him set Little Bai at his side, or was he pondering sothing else at that mont, this unusually clever person?

Yan Zizai’s eyes reflected a complex light as he said this.

"In actuality, I have already lived very long, because of my sequence within the body, I am not a small child," it said.

—Chu Qing would be able to quickly clear up this misunderstanding.

...What kind of person was this, belonging to so investigative army, found Yan Zizai’s behavior odd.

This sentence had a slight change in taste for him.

Watching Little Bai with this young model, he never linked her to being older than himself for the first ti.

Yan Zizai was stunned.

"And yet... I am still much older than you!"

"And yet what?"

Yan Zizai was rather surprised by Little Bai’s lack of restraint, as she looked at Captain Bai with a grudge. He still wondered if this child would get mad, as Little Bai’s behavior was unexpected.

"And yet... You can’t say things like Captain Bai, no... just no," she faltered.

He seed all too timid, looking like soone who was too cowardly to speak up, this made Little Bai’s words almost unbearable to hear.

"He really is the epito of a despicable character, letting a child like you venture to the tower investigation before the white fog appeared? But you are still so young, you have endless Nirvana ahead of you, although your body bears the strength of the mighty,"

Yan Zizai also expressed his dissatisfaction with himself nonchalantly:

Little Bai was stunned.

"Even though I sohow manage to do these things, I wouldn’t take on the responsibility of entrusting a little child to myself, but I’ve made a mistake or two, not that I detest you,"

Yan Zizai said, frowning.

He must accept Little Bai, since he was also assigned to Captain Bai’s squad, but although Yan Zizai wanted the white fog very much, he never initially accepted Little Bai’s goodwill.

Little Bai felt that this man didn’t dislike him and wasn’t really repelling himself, and indeed, Yan Zizai had always held a poor opinion of Little Bai from the beginning.

"If that’s the case, I’ll talk with you later... If I have caused you any trouble... am I not making a nuisance for you? I won’t do it again,"

While lowering his head, Yan Zizai said to Little Bai as they were leaving the splendid al at Wang’s restaurant.

Ultimately, Yan Zizai was still taking care of his own matters, and Little Bai finally managed to recover himself.

If he did that again, his beautiful life would just fade away before his eyes, and he always felt that he couldn’t forget his own shape, like how Little Bai always had to be even more grateful to the family for saving him from the white fog.

These good people who were helping him had allowed him to endure silently for seven hundred years, as his brain conjured up all these wonderful fantasies during his seven-hundred-year hidden imprisonnt.

All the beauty he could imagine was but a fantasy arising from contact with such vile people.

Little Bai is even more pitiable than Jiuyan, in a certain sense. He is such a person. His life is filled with various chores.

But Little Bai still really wants to do things, even though the family is very kind to Little Bai within the investigative squad.

"You said it yourself, that if I helped you with these small matters, you might bring along on so big mission tomorrow. You said it’s definitely not because I’m more proficient and experienced in handling these kinds of situations,"

Little Bai said, nodding his head, but still:

"I’m not the kind of person who likes clinging to others. The most important thing is making money. Since we already know how to survive in this world, I really don’t want to get involved in anything,"

Yan Zizai said, still bearing that impression:

When Little Bai shows his kindness, even if it’s indirectly towards Dedan Poire, the most despicable eater of unlimited people, one would feel an innocent and especially blaless young impression if one only glanced at him—that’s Little Bai’s appearance after all.

Yan Zizai looks at Little Bai with a blank face, feeling that his na does carry so weight.

"Ah?"

"What about you, clinging to the white fog like that? It’s no use telling , isn’t it?"

"Leave these small matters to ; after all, you and Captain Bai... You always feel that way,"

"It’s no use,"

Still, Yan Zizai said, facing Little Bai, though not very interested in bothering with him:

Little Bai isn’t exactly good at flattering or fawning, and by nature, he is not suited for such rough tasks, he indeed feels that; he’s simply used to helping others, not a nobleman of such a high tower.

"You’re still not suitable for this kind of work, Mr. Yan. Help wash this, I don’t want to... Mr. Yan,"

That evening, he ended up washing; it was this dishwashing job.

The two began washing dishes as a way to repay a debt.

Both Yan Zizai and Little Bai understood this area’s currency chanism, and with a chanoid’s explanation, they could not afford to eat extravagantly at Wang’s restaurant anyway.

chanism City has many bars and restaurants on every corner.

chanism City’s food nu is rich and varied—or it solves the city’s food issue.

Zero had made a reform long ago, one hundred and seventy years prior, reminiscing about so tower-era experiences; Zero actually ca from seven hundred years in the past.

However, within chanism City, there are devices similar to the food domain that can convert and replace higher-grade food, even better than the food domain itself.

They, the Heart Core chanoids, could manage solid physical matter,

but there were only a few who had large heads. The reason why many chanoid races used large quantities of energy fluid as supplents was because of the market called "King’s al Place." That was why they were at a restaurant known as King’s al Place.

Upon arrival, the two rcenaries quickly set out in search of food—vastly fad Yan Zizai from the high tower observation team accepted a level ɟ rcenary task—a plate exchange.

But this strange delight gradually faded, as they began to feel a bit hungry.

However, the sight of chanoid races walking about, using various street instrunts, no longer surprised him.

Little Bai found it exceptionally delightful; stepping into this sci-fi fantasy world felt like being a kid again.

Such a breath of foreign air was certainly enticing to newcors, yet even that was not sufficient to fill the city with this bustling third-layer liveliness, far surpassing the grandeur of the high tower.

They were—as insignificant as photons in poverty.

...About six short minutes later, Jiuyan and Little Bai beca indirectly aware of an incident.

That down-on-his-luck chanoid of a gangster originally planned to bring back an item to its position of power on the outside, where it could only wait, but now it was directly facing the city’s gate.

After a few exchanges, he found himself facing Little Bai and Jiuyan, and for the first ti, it was himself facing off against his own chanoid race. Only after several mutual origin swaps did they finally act together.

To Little Bai, he seed just like a little child, but Jiuyan had no such illusions.

"What have you just done, Lord Yan?"

Little Bai said, sowhat puzzled, now inside the city.

This chanoid character wanted to launch a 74ʇ missile to directly take out the city gate, as he hadn’t gathered enough contributory points to enter this ti due to a shortfall of two hundred points.

But an uncanny thing happened again—as soon as it stepped foot into the city, it found itself outside once more, just a second later.

To re-enter the city, it had spent another two hundred contributory points.

Afterward, it decided to first enter the city, then went to find the one in charge of the city gate to discuss matters, as it had no choice but to exert force.

It had more than a few contributory points on its person, likely earned from helping so inner city power with a certain task.

However, this chanoid mber was very puzzled—why had he suddenly returned outside the city when he had clearly already paid two hundred contributory points?

It was originally a chanoid character who ca out of the city in a most curious manner.

As Jiuyan began to initiate the exchange, in the blink of a mont, it passed through the city—and very soon Chu Qing could see that a Consciousness chanoid was getting ready to enter the city; considering his luck wasn’t bad at all, and he didn’t have any difficulties, unlike Jiuyan and Little Bai.

He didn’t have a choice when it ca to entering the city, but Jiuyan stopped in the end, as he couldn’t pass through the everyday scene he had yet to witness on the flat eye of heaven.

That world could only be seen through the causal lines by certain people; a woman of peculiar kind. The flat eye of heaven wasn’t completely capable of seeing through everything.

But it could still alter a result like this, even though he distinctly saw Lily in Lily’s strand; this white mist was exactly opposing Lily too.

If the flat eye of heaven possessed absolute certainty in speech, that would indeed be an "unforeseeable" outco to erge in reality.

This capability could indeed be changed.

The flat eye of heaven isn’t actually seeing the true future—it is one kind of capability, the highest kind of performance.

He turned into a puff of smoke with a flash of red light following him and triggered an alarm instinctively, though he was but a step from activating the protective shield. But Jiuyan had him, who possessed great innate strength accompanied with a robust figure...

...In a flash, Jiuyan saw a glimpse of a future fragnt—this was naturally extrely dangerous.

Thus, Jiuyan directly walked towards the inside of the city.

At the sa ti, he didn’t fully understand that he needed two hundred contributory points to enter the city, and these scrappers outside were not included in his calculations, no matter how wasteful of ti.

Even though Jiuyan could see his own account information and knew that the contributory points were zero, he had no complete concept of contributory points at all. He could just naturally enter the city as he had chosen to be a rcenary.

Little Bai felt that Jiuyan held an atmosphere of imnse power compared to Captain Bai, who was on another level, and had also chosen to be a rcenary.

Deciding not to be constrained by any fixed job and having recognized this young man’s timid life disposition, Jiuyan chose to be a rcenary.

Well, considering his own assessnt, this seed to be the most suitable job for both of them if they wanted to survive well in this massive city.

Little Bai wasn’t lacking in knowledge despite the adverse conditions he experienced.

He had also made contact with a certain tower from a previous era during his ti in the east-west, and had been under thorough care in the hospital for many days afterward.

However, Little Bai indeed had experiences with the tower from the previous era. He wasn’t a ti-traveler, though he and Bai Wu weren’t quite the sa. Little Bai inquired how Jiuyan had chosen his career.

By the ti he and Little Bai stepped into this zone, they had already been integrated into the career module system.

Jiuyan still knew a thing or two about heading into the city, relying on his own analysis capabilities and keen insight to maintain an advantage, but he wasn’t completely sure how to proceed after arriving in this world. In the end, he and Little Bai were utterly clueless as they plunged into the mist.

Yan Zizai was a rcenary.

Without any tribute to offer, one would be obliterated by the terrifying energy shield, kept absolutely segregated from both the inside and the vast protective shield outside the city.

Jiuyan and Little Bai were faster than Bai Wu... but they were utterly oblivious and unequivocally denied any knowledge of what to do next.

Even getting into the city was fundantally impossible. This was recognized by the Zheng family and Yan family, the guardians.

Inside the city, chanism City

...

...

Well destroyed the amiable feelings in an instant.

He couldn’t bear to brutalize that person himself, this was his representation.

It was indeed the most egregious insult to the man... but that man himself had not sustained any harm, which is also to say, fundantally, he ceased to exist!

This sudden realization angered Well sowhat.

Since that person was already nonexistent, it was as if he were rely a remnant of a shattered daydream, a fignt of creative imagination.

Well started to frown, his eyebrows knitting at the thought of how this man had sohow invaded a part of his mind, within Jiuyan.

Dressed in a large white robe, carrying a semblance of sacred light, as if he was a Buddha, he was not what he seed to be.

They all wore specially designed uniforms.

Army Guard Town and the investigation army were not surprised by the number of people they absorbed, having gained nurous mories in the gambling dens, including rchants.

"It must be one of the high castle’s investigation army groups, since they ca from the high tower; that man is not there among us, but we have indeed glimpsed so fragnts of evil mories from the bottomless realm," said Captain Bai.

Well suddenly spoke up, "Is that person not found yet?"

He was clearly a weak and tender creature, yet the encounter brought forth a sense of failure in him.

That person, wearing a doctor’s white coat, was wearing a smile that signified malevolence, shining brightly for a week every ti.

Well was thinking of Zero at the ti, and perhaps even unintentionally thought of soone else. mories usually carried a certain connection.

He had to find the high tower, he must surrender to Zero.

This world could take a twisted turn from its powerful beings, or perhaps this was indicative of sothing else, even more powerful than them; his presence alone was like an anomaly that could potentially twist this world out of shape.

Especially since he could never have anticipated the outco of that ongoing battle.

There were still people capable of battling in the outside world, including the four brothers who had long vanished, the farr and the market master, and especially that sister who loved to explore causes and effects, other than him who never gave it a thought from the beginning.

Zero was one of the biggest reasons he allowed himself to get agitated over these mories while in the outside world.

Well intended to rush to chanism City, but needed so ti as the outside world was vast.
