When Yang Zhen saw Constantine speak with such composure, he steeled his heart:

"Fine, I’ll hold it off, you guys go! But you’d better really be able to lead us out of here."

Bai Wu didn’t exchange pleasantries with him, as soon as the rain stopped, he led the group diagonally towards the next sheltered area, trying not to let any acid rain touch them.

Because it might be gastric fluid. He also contemplated the remark that had been made.

The information that the remark could provide was actually not much, often it was just a problem left behind. Whether they could make good use of these eyes, still depended on their own problem-solving ability.

As Bai Wu led the way, he pieced together the clues.

"I have been to two areas before, but those areas are very similar to the real world, abandoned city streets and sewers, abandoned hospitals. But only this place looks like a carefully arranged chessboard. What kind of area...would have stomach acid rain?"

The first answer that ca to mind was naturally the stomach.

Whether there exists Evil Fallen with super-humongous volus within them, it was unknown. In the sewers, Bai Wu had seen the skeleton of a giant beast. Perhaps they were actually in the stomach?

"But if this place is a stomach, then what role does Dandelion play?"

Bai Wu looked back.

Yang Zhen’s movents were still a bit clumsy due to the chaos, but he had improved a lot compared to his earlier sluggish walking.

Dandelion, on the other hand, was weakened by the disease entry: frail, a fourth-grade Evil Fallen suppressed by a chaotic third-grade Innate Force warrior.

Yang Zhen, with his tough-guy image, was actually the most vigilant of the group, realizing after Bai Wu’s arrival that everything in this world followed a certain pattern, including the timing of the acid rain.

He began to continuously drive the Evil Fallen towards the acid rain area.

Bai Wu saw Yang Zhen’s intentions and did not stop him.

The guide they had obtained suggested that acid rain could greatly weaken this infinitely regenerating Evil Fallen.

But it was also possible that these cracks were deliberately left by the top-level Hunter.

The truth awaited verification.

At least before the next four hours elapsed, they did not need to worry about the Evil Fallen, because Dandelion was indeed a bit too weak.

"There... seems to be a tree hole," Qin Lin pointed out to a spot not far away.

Bai Wu nodded:

"Let’s go in and take a look."

...

...

At the bottom of High Tower, the loot-picking harbor.

A stream selling knockoff products was suddenly switched to a different one, leaving the audience sowhat bewildered. The view from the handcuffs was actually very similar to Bai Wu’s livestreaming perspective from his previous life—one cuff clearly reflected Bai Wu’s appearance while the other showed the view from Bai Wu’s perspective. Onscreen, the forr occupied a very small part, at the bottom right corner of the screen.

Liu Chengzi was really looking forward to Bai Wu’s debut.

But this livestream had no sound, leaving the viewers in a haze.

Although many felt that this scene seed much more realistic than before, it was... not very appealing.

A storytelling-less livestream had no enjoynt, especially with the main character Bai Wu, a human-shaped avoidance device.

He anticipated dangers well in advance.

This made the livestreaming effect much worse. So far, they hadn’t even seen what an Evil Fallen looked like.

"Change the channel! I want to watch the Luo Yong number product live sale!"

"Right, right, right, change the channel! I’d rather watch Yao and Smile act crazy and silly than watch such a boring trick!"

"How co you don’t find watching nai-zi enjoyable? Why watch a strangely dressed man walking around here? And what are the other three doing?"

"What is this trashy program?"

So sotis it’s not that people are ignorant and unaware of the host’s trickery, but this kind of thing is just a case of mutual willingness to participate.

Liu Chengzi was anxious, the current screen showed the three people outside the tree hole, Bai Wu talking with them.

She didn’t know what Bai Wu was doing.

This was far from the heroic image she had of Bai Wu slaying Evil Fallen.

To outsiders, so occupations always seem fascinating.

Novelists envy ga designers, ga designers envy musicians, musicians envy photographers, photographers envy novelists...

But when the truth is revealed, it often isn’t that interesting, and might even be exceptionally dull.

People love watching detectives solve cases, but if you were to experience the detective’s process yourself, rather than watching it condensed into a few ten-minute movies, you might not find it so thrilling or fun.

Of course, the main reason for the failure of this livestream was that the Evil Fallen didn’t behave like the others, pouncing at the first sll.

In previous broadcasts from beyond the tower, the broadcasters were usually torn to shreds not long after they started, but this ti, it hadn’t happened yet; Evil Fallen had not appeared so far.

As a result, the effect of the program was very weak.

Liu Chengzi was very anxious.

At this mont, among the audience, a ragged young boy around fifteen or sixteen years old squeezed into the crowd.

He had actually been there for a while, his skinny figure blocked at the outer periter of the crowd.

But when he saw everyone cursing and demanding a change of broadcast, he began frantically pushing his way inward.

His urgency was such that even a mont’s delay seed like it would result in a significant loss.

Finally, after much struggle, he reached the base of the huge television wall and began observing the expressions of the staff mbers around him.

"The spectators are impatient; the sponsors are disappointed; but the most anxious should be the broadcast team. Ah, found you!"

The boy caught sight of Liu Chengzi at a glance, and, disregarding the staff trying to stop him, he made a beeline straight for her.

At this mont, Liu Chengzi’s attention was all on the screen. She was a self-interested person; she hoped that Bai Wu was alright, but at the sa ti, she also wished that dozens of Evil Fallen would suddenly appear and rescue the show’s impact.

So when the boy reached her side, panting and speaking, she was startled.

"Big sister, let do voice-overs for the broadcast! I can get them excited very quickly!"

"What are you talking about?"

"If they’re ready to change the program directly, it shows that they have great expectations for this live tower outside broadcast. Sister, you don’t want the program to flop, right? Give a chance. It’s already pretty bad now, and I guess the sponsors will be coming to talk to you about changing the program soon!"

Liu Chengzi was taken aback; though she didn’t know who the kid was, he seed pretty accurate in his assessnt.

"My na is Ye Weiming. Big sister, let try! I won’t charge any money. Let do the voice acting, trust ! With here, the program will definitely get better!"

Voice acting? That could be a solution!

Liu Chengzi was also a very smart woman, and even though she was a bit anxious and confused, she quickly figured out three things.

The kid had a sharp eye, was good at reading people, and knew how to seize opportunities; he had the potential to beco a Sea King.

But such people usually have so real skills, and she wasn’t one to hesitate:

"Okay, I’ll give you a chance, but I have a condition. That guy dressed weirdly, nad Constantine, you need to emphasize him."

"I understand, leave it to !"

Liu Chengzi imdiately took Ye Weiming to the backstage.

Outside the television wall, the spectators’ cursing grew more severe—they suddenly felt that those swindling broadcasters of the past were all talented, with lovely conversation, and they were very fond of them.

But soon, everyone fell silent for a few seconds.

Because for the first ti, sounds of insects ca from the previously silent television wall.

The sound of the wind, of insects buzzing, footsteps, breathing.

These sounds combined together to present a surprisingly vivid scene of the wilderness.

The spectators, who had been slightly skeptical about the genuineness of the live broadcast, imdiately discarded their doubts.

And in the backstage, upon hearing Ye Weiming’s miraculous voice acting, Liu Chengzi was amazed!

How did he manage to produce so many different mixed sounds at the sa ti?

She had found a treasure!

Ye Weiming’s brilliant act had just begun; he spoke in a nasal voice:

"We need to find a place to hide now. Evil Fallen are not far behind us. According to our informant’s data, there’s a treasure of inestimable value hidden here! You three follow . I can feel it; it’s nearby!"

This voice was worlds apart from Ye Weiming’s earlier tone, leaving Liu Chengzi dumbstruck.

The key was the content; Evil Fallen hadn’t appeared throughout the broadcast, but following Ye Weiming’s verbal guidance and the suggestive sounds, the audience felt an atmosphere of intense tension and pressure!

The program started with a video whose content was all made up.

Ye Weiming and Liu Chengzi didn’t care at all about the actual situation; they had a common goal: to make the show explosively effective.

The spectators’ complaints disappeared instantly, and the sponsors, who had been about to discuss changing the program with Liu Chengzi, also stopped in their tracks, deciding to watch a bit longer.

Ye Weiming and Liu Chengzi didn’t even bother to explain why there had been no sound earlier, and the audience didn’t care.

Only Bai Wu, far outside the tower, had no idea that his actions, with the intervention of a set of sounds, had given birth to a completely different version of events.

At this mont, Bai Wu and Qin Lin along with Liang Yu walked into a tree hollow.

There were no corpses inside the tree hollow, but there was a tattered notebook.
