The next day, Wu Lihong brought half a cart of gifts and once again ca to the Changqing Residence on Cypress Lane. He thought he wouldn’t be able to get in again, but this ti they opened the door and welcod him inside.

A maid brought up so tea, and Wu Lihong took a sip, barely stopping himself from spitting it out. What kind of tea was this, tasting like sothing old and stale, utterly unpleasant?
He put it down and asked, "Where is your master?"
"Replying to the gentleman, this servant is only responsible for preparing tea and does not know the master’s whereabouts," the Little Maid said respectfully.
Wu Lihong felt a bit bored, waved his hand, and continued to wait, asking the Little Maid questions as he did.
However, whether the Little Maid was truly oblivious or just pretending, he couldn’t get any useful information out of her, as slippery as she was.
Wu Lihong lost interest in prying further and picked up the unpleasant tea again, beginning to suspect that they deliberately used such poor tea leaves to entertain him.
Even this tea couldn’t compare to what he drank at the residence in Huayang!
Well, if he had appeared while Wufu was in Huayang, he certainly wouldn’t have been served good tea; Wufu would rather pour it out than let him drink it. Why should trash get good tea?
A quarter of an hour passed, then two quarters of an hour went by. Wu Lihong had finished two cups of the awful tea, yet still didn’t see either Wufu or Madam Zhou, his face darkened, and when he asked again, the response was still only perfunctory.

Was this deliberate, to leave him hanging?
"Is this how your master treats guests? Making them wait like this!" Wu Lihong stood up angrily, intending to walk out.
"The lady has arrived."
He halted mid-step, turning to see soone coming out from the side door of a small room. The person was dressed in a plain green robe, tall and slender with a cold deanor—who else could it be but Wufu?
"It seems it’s really difficult to get to see you!" Wu Lihong snorted and returned to his seat.
