"Gwen was forced to stop filming, but the fans won’t care about that. Imagine how much damage public opinion will cause you."
Tiana Thorne raised her eyebrows, as if she hadn’t heard: "Are you looking forward to it?"
"Tiana, are you really planning to compete? You should think this through. Not to ntion the lineup of big stars, just Gwen’s fans are hard to handle."
"This is my chance for transformation. If I don’t succeed, I’ll be a martyr," Tiana said lightly, as if she didn’t take these difficulties seriously.
May Sloane said, "You’re right, Tiana, this is indeed an opportunity. I’ve checked, not many artists dare to oppose Gwen. No one dares to take on this hot potato, except for a few young artists, but their acting skills aren’t up to par."
Tiana knew May wasn’t exaggerating even a bit.
Although Gwen isn’t the queen of the entertainnt circle, she’s almost indistinguishable from one. She started acting at five years old, a child star, with not only good family background but excellence in every aspect. She truly is a favored daughter.
This ti, with a broken leg, she lost this big drama that was internally decided for her. She’s probably feeling unwilling.
"Tiana, why aren’t you saying anything?"
Tiana withdrew from her thoughts, lazily curled her lips: "Soone has to be the thorn in the side, and as it turns out, that’s ."
"Have you really decided?"
Tiana nodded: "Tell President Pace to schedule the audition directly, no need to consider further."
"And about Gwen..."
Tiana interrupted her in a deep voice: "Darling, there’s nothing in this world that I fear, let alone a woman."
"Tiana, I believe in you."
"Mm."
After hanging up the phone, Tiana opened up the script for the second female lead in "Solitude."
The supporting role’s na is Gloria Royston, a character with a tragic background. Two countries are at war, her father, the General of the State, dies on the battlefield, causing the fall of the General’s mansion.
Her mother is a woman of the streets, the leading courtesan of The Crimson Dahlia. Years ago, her father fancied her at first sight and married her, even granting her a princess title, but she was never truly respected.
The heroine, played by Iris Sterling as the Ninth Princess, shares a bond with her and often visits the palace to play. Eventually, she falls for the Third Prince, the Ninth Princess’s brother.
The Third Prince and Fifth Prince are among the most outstanding of the royal siblings, having long coveted the throne.
The Ninth Princess falls in love with a guard of the Third Prince, played by Hector Lee as the male lead.
Thus, the Ninth Princess also supports her Third Brother, and the sisterly bond strengthens.
She and the Third Prince are deeply in love.
To justify leading troops to war against The Mongian Kingdom, thereby gaining military rit, the Third Prince rapes her under the influence of drugs on the night of their wedding.
Chelsea Montgory thought she was finally going to live happily ever after with the Third Prince, only to beco a pawn in his struggle for power.
It was laughable, as the Emperor never truly intended to attack The Mongian Kingdom, but she, being tainted, was deed unworthy for his son. Her rape was twisted into a story of love with the Prince of The Mongian Kingdom, masquerading it as fulfilling her dream as the General’s daughter, destined to marry afar.
Though it appeared honorable, being sullied with another during her wedding day is unforgivable to outsiders. She endured the scorn of thousands, and after that wedding night, she never saw the man she loved again.
Dressed in bridal clothes, as she was sent away, she wished for death.
But as the eldest daughter of the General of the State, she couldn’t cause any disturbances at such a critical mont, otherwise, her mistake would implicate her whole family, and her father’s legacy would be tarnished.
Chelsea’s last scene is her being married, wearing a bright red dress, later to be written from the Ninth Princess’s perspective as she hears the news of her death.
The Prince of The Mongian Kingdom couldn’t possibly truly love her; after a year of special treatnt, with no support overseas, and as a woman, he subjected her to humiliation. Upon learning of her past with the Third Prince, he gave her to the soldiers for entertainnt. She couldn’t bear the disgrace and ended her life with a sword.
Tiana Thorne finished the script, and only felt that Chelsea Montgory was incredibly pitiful. Won in ancient tis were truly unfortunate, bound by too many constraints.
They spend their lives loving soone they shouldn’t, ultimately ruining their lives.
She’s curious about the Third Prince’s fate, as his trusted guard ended up as the male lead. After avenging his brother, the Third Prince inadvertently usurps the throne, causing the Ninth Princess’s family to be ruined.
But the Ninth Princess’s ending is good—she ets soone who truly loves her and dedicates his life to her.
Tsk, tsk.
Screenwriters today are increasingly skilled at writing tragedies, but undeniably, Chelsea Montgory’s character is quite compelling, capable of resonating with audiences and garnering more attention.
It’s a pity Gwen lost such a role, truly a pity.
May Sloane called again: "Tiana, I’ll pick you up for the audition tomorrow morning at ten."
"So soon?"
May nodded: "You must go through the script tonight. During the audition tomorrow, it’ll probably be a random scene."
"Alright, I understand."
"Do you have confidence?"
Tiana smiled, her lips moving indifferently: "Just prepare to celebrate for ."
"Alright, I won’t disturb you any longer, good night."
May knew that Tiana was determined this ti, and it could only offend Gwen.
The next day.
The "Solitude" crew.
Hearing that an artist was coming to audition, everyone had an expression of watching a show, not taking it seriously.
There had been several female artists before, none of whom satisfied Director Dalton Grant. Gwen’s image was already ingrained in the director’s mind.
Finding soone better than Gwen seed almost impossible.
But they wouldn’t randomly choose a lead actress; even if it’s a newcor, she must be able to portray Chelsea Montgory’s sense of desolation.
After all, this drama is full of big-na stars, and one poor performance could affect the whole project.
Outside, Tiana Thorne and May Sloane saw a couple of artists with reddened eyes, looking particularly upset as they exited.
May whispered: "This Dalton Grant, his requirents are stricter than Director Dawson. His films have frightening box office numbers, and everyone tries desperately to work with him. I’ve heard that despite many talented actresses willing to offend Gwen have auditioned, none passed. One was even kicked out; they say he has an eccentric temperant and doesn’t talk much."
"Later, you just need to smile and ignore everything else—leave it all to ."
May nodded: "Now, we can only rely on you."
Tiana gently curved her lips and entered together with May.
Imdiately, soone ca to welco them politely: "Hello, Miss Thorne, please wait in the waiting area for a mont."
Tiana nodded: "Alright."
Just then, a clamor of footsteps approached, and a woman, like a moon surrounded by stars, entered. Just from her aura, it was clear—the boss was here!
