After parking the car, Jesse Rivers turned to wake her up, but the words stuck in his throat when he saw Aiden Shaw walking toward them.
Aiden gently waved his hand, signaling that he shouldn’t wake her.
Jesse, understanding, quietly opened the car door and then got out to leave.
Aiden Shaw took the driver’s seat, turned his head, and saw her slightly weary face. Her dark brown eyes seed deeper, and her thick, sharp eyebrows furrowed slightly and effortlessly.
He didn’t wake her either, his well-defined fingers gently brushing the deep blue and cream stripes on his suit.
After a mont of silence, he took off his suit jacket and lightly placed it over her.
Tiana Thorne was truly exhausted, not moving at all as she slept quietly...
...
She dread once more.
In the dream, her benefactor’s voice was sowhat cool but the tail end was warm, as he spoke word by word to her: "Don’t fear, you have a ho now."
Don’t fear, you have a ho now...
These words felt like soft cotton gently brushing across her heart, then presenting a colorful rainbow, both sweet and warm.
Until her consciousness gradually awakened, the dream remained just a dream, and she reached to grasp it but only caught air.
The voice grew further away, as if there would never be a day their paths crossed again. She opened her beautiful eyes in a panic, tears gathering underneath, and instinctively called out, "Don’t go, don’t go..."
Sitting up properly, a warm jacket slipped from her body, pulling her back to reality.
She reached out to pick up the fallen suit.
At the sa mont, Aiden Shaw also bent down, and in a flash, his broad palm covered the back of her hand.
The warmth was sowhat intense; she could almost feel the calluses left by years on the man’s palm, rough yet alluring. Holding her for half a second, it felt vaguely familiar.
Before she could ponder that familiarity, he bypassed her hand to pick up the suit, his voice cold, devoid of warmth: "If you’re awake, get out of the car."
Tiana turned her head and realized that outside, it was already dark.
Aiden Shaw’s distinct, deep-set handso face wasn’t so clear in the pitch-black night. His long, curled eyelashes drooped, casting shadows of varying depths below his eyes, making his already alluring face appear even more striking.
Combined with the moonlight, it had an indescribable and unfathomable quality, also making one sense his loneliness and chill.
After she got out of the car, due to that faint mont of familiarity, usually upbeat, she found herself at a loss for words, rely turning her head to look at him.
The lights along the manor’s main road spilled over him, flickering like shimring waves, revealing a sense of the decadent and the alluringly dark.
His legs are very long, and he didn’t instinctively wait for her. With each step, as he passed in front of her, it was as if carrying a cold breeze, just like his nature, cool and detached.
Finally, they reached the end of the road, where the living room lay ahead.
She assud he would head straight into the villa, yet, to her slight surprise, he stopped, standing at the doorway waiting.
Tiana lazily curved her lips into a smile, exuding a sensual allure. As she reached his side, she quipped, "Long ti no see. Fourth Master has grown even more handso."
Aiden turned his head, his phoenix eyes slightly narrowed, gazing at her intently.
His right hand casually rested in his pants pocket, the suit draped over his arm, suddenly exuding an air of unruly sexiness.
Just as she was about to change tactics: "Aiden brother..."
His low, cool voice interrupted her: "Dr. Thorne can read fortunes, can you?"
