Rouge Jarvis could only see her lips moving, unable to hear what she was saying, the buzzing in her ears making her feel overwheld with guilt.
Pain throbbed in her chest.

She had never been afraid that her sudden recognition of her mother would cause too much emotional turmoil; if anything happened to her mother, her guilt would be imnse.

Miles Xavier stepped over the two kneeling on the ground, quickly walking over. As he reached out to gently touch Rouge Jarvis’s hand, she pulled it away.
It was as if she had just regained her senses, taking a deep breath and saying hoarsely, "I’m fine."
She looked at Tiana Thorne’s captivating face, her voice choking, "Sorry..."
Tiana shook her head and said, "It’s who should say sorry, for not telling you sooner. Last ti, when my brother brought back to the old house, he wanted to spend ti with you, hoping you’d like ."
"It was missed," she said.
Tiana smiled, holding her hand, a gentle curve on her lips, "It’s not too late now, hasn’t Mom co to like these days?"
Her heart seed to be bathed in warm sunlight; once thought lost, her little girl was finally found.
"Let Mom take a good look at you." Her gaze was full of tenderness, tears gently falling, both joyous and sad.
At this mont, Maxim Ford softly said, "Mom, don’t be too upset. Sister has returned, and she can surely fill the twenty-year void, you..."
Before he could finish, Rouge Jarvis’s gaze towards him changed. There was no trace of the gentleness she showed her daughter; it was mixed with anger: "Don’t worry, I’ll chat with you later about family matters."

The weight in her words was heavy, her deanor carrying a unique maternal intimidation.

He was already prepared.
Rouge Jarvis wasn’t targeting him alone, she also looked towards Aiden Shaw near the daughter’s bedside, squinting her fox-like eyes: "And you, we haven’t talked heart-to-heart for a long ti; surely it will be an enjoyable conversation."

Tiana Thorne chuckled softly, not worried about her two brothers.
As they say, what goes around cos around. Even though she deceived Mom, she was included, yet Mom’s gaze filtered out her deceit.
The brothers weren’t as lucky.
Aiden Shaw nodded slightly to his mother, indifferent to whatever she planned.
He redirected his gaze to Chloe Vance, disheveled and kneeling on the ground, and then glanced at the composed redith Ford.
"We’ll discuss our family matters later; right now, we need to consider how to deal with these two outsiders."
His voice was chilling, carrying a rare hostility that created unease.
redith Ford’s heart felt pierced by a thousand needles, filled with unbearable pain. She almost trembled as she asked him, "Outsiders? Fourth Brother, are you calling an outsider?"
Aiden Shaw’s gaze was cold, completely ignoring her; saying one more word would be a waste of breath to him.
Tiana Thorne laughed, lazily curling her lips, "Isn’t that so?"
redith Ford looked towards her mother, her face pale as snow, tears streaming down, chaotically aggrieved and pitiful: "Mom, I’m not an outsider, I’m your daughter, please tell Fourth Brother."
