Eddy Hawthorne’s voice deepened a few notches: "Not at the mont."
"What about that police officer back then?"
Eddy replied, "Gordon Dawson is already sixty, just retired not long ago. He’s back because of Poppy’s case from back then, working voluntarily. He’ll leave after this case is concluded."
Rouge Jarvis, over fifty, has been through so much, yet never encountered anything as complicated as what she’s facing now.
Giles Chambers, the coroner, is dead.
Her instinct told her he didn’t die by accident. Perhaps, in the third year, he discovered sothing about Poppy, like the original test samples were swapped, or maybe sothing else.
But he must have found sothing, leading to his silencing in the end.
Thinking of this, she couldn’t help but feel a deep sadness. If only she had sought further testing back then, perhaps the subsequent tragedies could have been avoided.
Suppressing this bittersweet emotion, she said seriously, "Eddy, I’ll provide all necessary resources. Call anyti you need sothing, but please ensure Officer Dawson’s safety. I hope nothing happens to him."
"Rest assured, it’s my wife’s responsibility to ensure Officer Dawson is safe."
Rouge was deeply moved, "Thank you both."
"There’s no need for thanks. As long as Poppy hasn’t married Aiden Shaw, she’s still the daughter-in-law recognized by , Eddy Hawthorne. I certainly won’t stand idly by."
Hearing this, Rouge felt moved and bittersweet again.
Eddy could hear her breaths becoming rapid, worried that her heart condition might relapse.
He softly and gently persuaded, "Rouge, don’t dwell too much on it. It’s been twenty years without uncovering the truth about Poppy’s death. Where there’s a lie, there’s truth. We will find so clues and bring justice to the Ford family."
"Alright."
She nodded, suddenly recalling their earlier conversation, "By the way, I’ve also found so important clues here. I’ll have Sebastian Ford check them out at the police station to see if there’s any breakthrough."
With the Ford and Hawthorne families seeking the truth together, their enemies will have nowhere to hide.
"A hidden blade could remain concealed for twenty years only because Poppy was presud dead. Now, with Poppy alive, flaws are starting to show. We’ll soon find the real culprit."
Eddy was right; she believed in both the Ford family and the Hawthorne family.
"Alright, let’s get in touch later."
"Okay."
After hanging up the phone, Rouge briskly walked towards Sebastian Ford’s room.
Inside the room.
Tiana Thorne looked at May Sloane, "Beauty, there’s actually one thing I’ve been wondering about but never got an explanation."
"What is it?"
When their brother suspected that redith Ford was the key behind orchestrating everything, she pondered over the entire matter.
The mastermind could only be soone related to redith Ford, soone wanting her to live a life of wealth and luxury, thus orchestrating everything.
But, why spare her life?
There was absolutely no need.
After much thought, she remained puzzled, "Beauty, tell , in what kind of situation would a deranged person spare my life?"
May shook her head, unable to think of an answer.
"Let’s clear our minds and think without associating this with redith and . Consider other scenarios. Let’s brainstorm together."
About a minute later.
May exclaid, "Tiana, I think I might know one possibility."
