Sister Farewell ca to inquire, "Madam, the person has arrived. Should we bring her into the living room?"
"Guests are visitors, of course, bring her in."
"Yes."
In the living room, there were only Rouge Jarvis, Tiana Thorne, and May Sloane.
Aiden Shaw and Maxim Ford had gone separately to investigate other related matters. Aiden Shaw went to the film crew to examine the surveillance footage of redith Ford during her ti there, hoping for further discoveries.
At this mont, Isaac Ford brought the woman into the living room.
She glanced around, taking in the grandeur of the mansion, her heart beating like a drum, echoing louder and louder, feeling sowhat afraid.
Tiana Thorne assessed her, noticing from her pale cheeks that she was clearly anxious and uneasy.
That face could only be considered that of a common woman, completely unlike the beautiful woman redith Ford had previously spoken of.
Given redith Ford’s belief that the face was beautiful, even after so many years, it shouldn’t have beco so worn and aged.
The subconscious judgnt was that this woman wasn’t the person they were looking for.
Tiana Thorne asked Isaac Ford, "Sixth brother, have you inquired?"
He was the Sect Leader, and in the matter of catching suspects, he ought to have better insight than she did.
Isaac Ford looked at the woman, his eagle-like eyes revealing sharp scrutiny, and finally said, "I asked her on the way back; she seems to have been entrusted by soone, but the details of who it was need careful inquiry."
"Speak up, who asked you to do this?"
The woman’s eyes dodged, not daring to look at them.
Rouge Jarvis crossed her legs, displaying an attitude of having all the ti in the world to slowly wear her down, instilling fear in the woman’s heart.
She shivered, "I don’t know what you’re talking about. That money truly belonged to the girl who had deposited it with before."
Rouge Jarvis was utterly disbelieving, although her mouth curved upward, her eye color betrayed no hint of humor, distinctly threatening, "Or, let’s change the question, what’s your na?"
May Sloane watched the mother and daughter from the side.
A smiling tiger, a lazy figure reclining on the sofa eating grapes.
It must be said, this mother and daughter pair, whether in personality or handling situations, were remarkably alike.
"My na is Susan Lewis."
Tiana Thorne asked, "A citizen of Banyria?"
"Yes."
Tiana Thorne turned to May Sloane, "Beauty, co, give a hand, onto the wheelchair."
"Alright."
May Sloane helped her onto the wheelchair and then pushed her to Susan Lewis’s side.
Susan Lewis didn’t know what she intended, only feeling her face quite familiar, like she had seen it sowhere before. After careful scrutiny, it seed she rembered sothing, and she took several steps backward.
One of Isaac Ford’s subordinates held her firmly, stopping her in her tracks, her gaze fixated on Tiana Thorne as if she had seen a ghost.
Rouge Jarvis observed her expression, her eye color shifting slightly, lost in thought.
"It’s, it’s you..."
Tiana Thorne looked at her panic-stricken eyes and smiled lightly while raising an eyebrow, "Why, seen a ghost?"
Susan Lewis was so frightened she stamred, swallowing hard, "You, you are, are Tiana Thorne?"
"I am."
Hearing this, she struggled to explain urgently, "Miss Tiana, you have to believe . No one asked to send money; it was truly money redith Ford had previously stored with ."
Tiana Thorne sneered, lips curled, "We are strangers, yet you send money to my enemy; why should I believe you?"
One statent, choking her into silence.
Tiana Thorne gazed directly into her eyes, asking word by word, "Susan Lewis, tell , what are you afraid of about ?"
