A child who had just been born and hadn’t even had the chance to properly see the world was gone just like that. As his father, after knowing this truth, it must be very hard to accept, right?
Tiana Thorne swallowed her sowhat painful throat and asked, "Do you know how she died?"
"During the delivery, there was a case of placental abruption, the mother had excessive bleeding, the child suffered from lack of oxygen, and within 5 minutes, was gone, there was simply no ti for resuscitation..."
Tiana glanced at Cynthia Morgan, who was listening silently beside her, her eyes becoming colder: "Did she tell you, or did you find out yourself?"
From Jonas Jarvis’s mories, it was evident that Cynthia Morgan was a deeply scheming woman who would stop at nothing. If she decided to lie, it would really be hard to identify.
"Cynthia showed the video of the delivery, and then I asked the doctors. The doctors all said that the child was already lifeless at the ti. They were all desperately trying to save Pearl, but after a while, the child cried again. It was simply a legend in the dical field; all the doctors could never forget it."
Hearing this, Tiana took a sharp breath. Cynthia indeed executed every step flawlessly without a single loophole.
In the chaotic situation at that ti, no one would pay attention to the child’s appearance, which gave Cynthia an opportunity to exploit.
Tiana squinted her eyes slightly and said word by word, "I think you were already in the delivery room before then, waiting to swap your child with my aunt’s."
"You are very smart."
She did not refute but instead showed an appreciative look.
"There were risks in doing all this at the ti; I just didn’t expect my luck to be so good. Heaven would take such care of that Pearl Jarvis’s daughter would be stillborn."
As she said this, her eyes lit up as if she were flaunting her achievent.
Tiana looked at her, suddenly feeling that she was the devil on earth. Though she looked human, her heart was sothing no ordinary person could fathom.
Jonas Jarvis lowered his head; for a long ti, he could not recover from the pain of knowing the truth.
Heaven was so unfair to Pearl; she was so kind, so selfless for him.
She lost her family, lost her friends, and gave him all her true heart.
In Pearl’s world, there was only him.
They should have had a happy family with lovely children, but fate led him to face insurmountable suffering.
At that ti, Pearl couldn’t withstand any stimulation. Though she had given her daughter to Rouge Jarvis, it seed she had no feelings for her daughter, but only he knew that in the dead of night, she would always think of Annie.
Whenever he missed his daughter, he would console himself, thinking that his daughter would live a better and happier life with her sister, that they were still a family. This thought always made him feel a bit better.
If he had known that their daughter was already dead, he couldn’t imagine how much she would have collapsed then.
For Pearl, who was suffering from severe depression at the ti, knowing the truth would not rely be a matter of probability concerning death.
He had just survived a catastrophe, and he didn’t want her to die, nor did he want them to separate.
Selfishly, he wanted to keep her by his side for a lifeti, living in a beautifully embellished world.
At least that way, she wouldn’t suffer from betrayal and the loss of their daughter.
