His body continued to break down more rapidly, and life energy kept flooding in.
Outside the Eternal Tree, golden auras could be seen rushing toward the second floor. Though not enough to shake the tree’s life system, it still drew the attention of all Shrek Academy’s senior figures.
The Pavilion Master of the Sea God Pavilion stood by the lake, eyes fixed on the Eternal Tree. Yi Zichen (Elder Yi) stood beside her and said, “Pavilion Master, isn’t this a bit much? That’s the Eternal Tree’s most fundantal power.”
“It’s fine. That’s his son. The academy, the Tang Sect, even the entire Federation, all owe him. Without him, the Douluo Star might not even exist today. It's just life energy. The Eternal Tree is also their family's, and he knows his limits.”
Yi Zichen said, “Xuanyu’s growth is even faster than we expected. If he keeps progressing like this, he’ll soon be able to stand on his own. Should we really let him take such risks?”
The Pavilion Master shook her head. “Before Wulin returned, you could call it a risk. But with Wulin back, there’s no danger.”

Gold and silver light flickered across its body.
These two lights, shaped like dragons, clashed and caused the rainbow-colored scales to continuously shift between gold and silver.

Its anguished roar echoed, creating ripples on the surface of the Lake of Life below.
With a splash, the rainbow dragon fell into the lake, sending up countless droplets.
At the sa ti, another figure floated out, hovering above the lake—it was Tang Wulin.
Tang Wulin glanced toward the Pavilion Master and gave a slight nod before turning his full attention to the Lake of Life.
The little dragon tossed and turned in the water, creating surging waves.
Suddenly, its head broke through the surface as it howled toward the sky. The multicolored glow on its body intensified. A beam of light shot out from its forehead—it was the Treasure Seeking Beast.
The Treasure Seeking Beast floated above the dragon’s head, tracing circles with its hands. Instantly, the lake waters rippled violently, and colorful mist spread outward.
To the astonishnt of even the Pavilion Master, the lake water began to visibly recede as this mist dispersed.
Droplets of rainbow-colored liquid erged from the mist, falling onto the little dragon’s head. Each droplet made the glow on its body even more radiant.
Tang Wulin frowned slightly and raised his hand but ultimately did not stop the Treasure Seeking Beast. He looked again toward the Pavilion Master.
She returned his gaze and said solemnly, “Let it be. As long as the Eternal Tree can withstand it. This is what the academy owes you.”
They both knew exactly what the Treasure Seeking Beast was doing.
The water of the Lake of Life was the most refined life energy accumulated by the Eternal Tree over millennia—a liquid form of divine life energy, essentially the very core of the planet’s vitality.
Originally, Tang Wulin intended for Lan Xuanyu to break through in the lake, using its pure life energy to strengthen his foundation and forge a god-level physique. But the Treasure Seeking Beast took it even further. It didn’t care where the energy ca from—as long as it benefited Lan Xuanyu, it would do it. It was refining the lake’s divine life energy into an even purer spiritual essence to nourish Lan Xuanyu. This essence was akin to the divine spirit energy once found in the God Realm. However, such refinent consud an imnse amount of energy and was extrely wasteful. Only the most refined part of the life energy condensed into essence—the rest dispersed, and while the Eternal Tree absorbed it, restoring it would be difficult and costly.
No one else could receive this kind of treatnt.
Neither Shrek Academy nor the Eternal Tree would allow it. The Treasure Seeking Beast had the power to do this, but it was weak—any person present could crush it with a single slap.
Under the nourishnt of this spiritual essence, the rainbow-colored dragon's body grew larger, and its scales beca increasingly translucent.
