Qian Lei sat down hard on the Lower Dragon’s neck, hamring his fists down again and again, giving the dragon no chance to lift its head.
Tang Yuge released the Great Five Elents Divine Light, the radiance sweeping over the Lower Dragon and suppressing its fire attribute.
Lan Xuanyu descended from above, the Heavenly Sacred Splitting Abyss Halberd stabbing directly into the dragon’s spine. The dragon’s body trembled violently as its life energy surged like a tide into the weapon.
Lan Xuanyu could clearly feel that this dragon’s energy was far purer than the one they had hunted previously—and greater in total amount as well.
“Frenzie, you go first.” Lan Xuanyu looked toward Liu Feng.
Liu Feng sat down in the corner without hesitation, igniting his bloodline to begin tempering his body.
His journey to this point had been built upon sheer willpower. To him, bloodline-tempering was the most suitable cultivation thod possible. Moreover, his White Dragon King Spear carried a asure of dragon bloodline as well.
Thus, when the Treasure Seeking Beast transford the dragon’s life force into bloodline power and channeled it into him, his cultivation results were astonishingly good.
He directly tempered his right arm—the one with the Silver Moon Wolf arm bone. A low dragon’s roar echoed as silver-white light swirled around him.
Expressionless, Liu Feng drove the flas of his bloodline to temper his arm. His body did not so much as tremble.
Lan ngqin stayed beside him to guard and offer support if needed, but soon discovered Liu Feng seed to require none. His willpower far surpassed her own; throughout the entire process he never wavered—simply absorbed and refined.
Sensing the changes in Liu Feng’s body, Lan Xuanyu couldn’t help nodding inwardly. Today’s hunt had gone smoothly, and this Lower Dragon’s life energy was abundant enough to satisfy all three teammates’ cultivation needs.
After about ten minutes of continued tempering, Liu Feng’s endurance reached its limit. The Thorn Dragon appeared behind him, ending the process. Liu Feng remained seated, silently adjusting his state and drawing in the life energy in the air.
“Huihui, your turn.” Lan Xuanyu signaled to Yuanen Huihui.
Yuanen Huihui floated down gracefully. A cluster of white light rose above his head—his Fairy Spirit Dragon.
The Fairy Spirit Dragon spread its wings, hovering protectively overhead. Yuanen Huihui ignited his bloodline, and the Treasure Seeking Beast shifted its focus, sending gentle green light into him.
A pale green fla rose from Yuanen Huihui’s body, its radiance pulsing with dense life energy fluctuations.
Though his cultivation was not as high as Tang Yuge’s, Yuanen Huihui had always ranked second among the team in soul power. And with the bloodline of the Elf King, his life energy was dense and pure. Even after igniting his bloodline, his condition remained stable, showing no major fluctuations.
His cultivation lasted slightly longer than Liu Feng’s—around fifteen minutes.
“Fatty, your turn.” By now, the Lower Dragon was on the verge of death, unable to resist. Qian Lei eagerly leapt off its head, reverted to human form, and sat cross-legged.
He had already attempted this once before, and the pain from last ti remained a vivid mory. This ti, the mont he ignited his bloodline, he imdiately grimaced—but once the Treasure Seeking Beast infused him with bloodline power converted from the dragon’s life force, he stabilized instantly.
The golden fatty’s silhouette flickered behind him, staring intently at the dragon corpse. It extended its arms and repeatedly made deep inhaling motions behind Qian Lei, causing the bloodline power he absorbed to increase rapidly.
Fortunately, today’s Lower Dragon possessed far more life energy than the previous one; otherwise, it might not have been enough for Qian Lei’s cultivation.
Qian Lei had just reached a critical stage when, suddenly, a deafening dragon roar echoed from outside the cave.
Everyone’s expression changed instantly.
Another dragon had arrived?
From entering the cave until now, barely half an hour had passed. How could such timing be so coincidental?
Lan Xuanyu’s heart sank—he realized he had made a mistake.
When they first entered the cave and saw the Lower Dragon, it had not shown surprise until it actually saw him. And though Lan Xuanyu had lightened his steps, he was in the form of a Lower Dragon—there was no way his landing would be completely silent. That ant the dragon had already been awake and aware. It hadn’t been startled by noise and hadn’t been asleep. Which ant… it likely wasn’t living here alone.
Tang Yuge, Bai Xiuxiu, and Lan ngqin dropped down without hesitation, standing shoulder to shoulder.
Lan Xuanyu was still helping Qian Lei cultivate. If interrupted now, the dragon’s remaining bloodline power would be wasted. With the newcor’s intentions unclear, the three won had to defend first.
“Boom, boom, boom.” Heavy impacts echoed outside. For a dragon, crossing a hundred ters took only a few steps.
In the blink of an eye, a massive fire-red dragon appeared before them.
Its eyes imdiately found the dying Lower Dragon impaled by the Heavenly Sacred Splitting Abyss Halberd. Its pupils contracted sharply, narrowing to needle-like points. It opened its jaws and spewed a mass of blazing crimson fla toward them.
This dragon was over thirty ters long—and more importantly, its abdon was covered in scales. It was unmistakably an Interdiate Dragon. Its energy fluctuations were intensely powerful, at least equivalent to a Titled Douluo-level existence.
Lan Xuanyu’s group was instantly pushed to the brink of crisis. And worst of all, Liu Feng, Yuanen Huihui, Qian Lei, and even Lan Xuanyu could not fight right now. Only the three girls could act.
Tang Yuge stepped forward, rising into the air. Five-colored radiance flowed around her, her form transforming in an instant into the Five Elents Qilin. The five colors surged again and fused together.
Heavenly Stems Qilin!
The Qilin’s right foreclaw struck outward, releasing Heavenly Stem Divine Light. It beca a barrier, blocking the incoming flas entirely. Under its suppression, the fire rapidly weakened—but the sheer impact blasted Tang Yuge backward, slamming her into the far wall.
This was the difference in raw energy strength. Dragons were powerful not only due to their physical might, but also because their energy intensity was extrely high.
“Impudent!” a delicate yet furious shout rang out. Bai Xiuxiu’s body expanded as the dragon wings unfurled behind her—revealing her Abyssal Frost Demon Dragon true form.
Brilliant deep-blue scales shimred vividly under the glow of the opponent’s flas.
Seeing her sudden transformation, the fire-red dragon hesitated. “A Higher Dragon? Why have you killed my son?”
Bai Xiuxiu did not respond. The surrounding light dimd abruptly as countless blue-violet orbs appeared in the air, raining down upon the opponent in a furious barrage.
Death Decay!
The fire-red dragon roared in fury. It no longer cared that she was a Higher Dragon. Its massive body contracted slightly, and a layer of dark-red light burst forth, forming a protective shield across its surface. Each falling orb dimd the shield, but it held firm, resisting the corrosive force of Death Decay.
The only relief Lan Xuanyu felt was that this dragon was not god-ranked.
When Death Decay was finally held off, Bai Xiuxiu shifted back to human form. She reached into the air, an ice spear materializing in her grasp. Her Battle Armor burst from within, covering her body as wings spread across her back, making her grow markedly taller.
Tang Yuge unleashed her Martial Soul Avatar. The ten Heavenly Stem Qilins surged toward the fire dragon—Bing Fire Qilin and Ding Fire Qilin suppressing its attribute, the other eight launching simultaneous attacks.
But this ti, Lan Xuanyu’s group finally witnessed just how fearso a dragon truly was when fighting seriously.
