With the Divine Dragon Armor rging with her body, the surroundings imdiately darkened. Bai Xiuxiu pointed the dragon spear in her hand forward as a dark-blue snowflake drifted down from the sky, bringing waves of biting cold with it. This was Ice Demon Snow.
The Lower Dragon’s pale golden eyes suddenly lit up. Opening its mouth, it spat out a stream of milky white radiance toward Bai Xiuxiu. This was Light Dragon Breath.
Bai Xiuxiu lightly tapped the ground with the tip of her foot and shot into the air. A pair of dragon wings spread open behind her. A surge of icy energy erupted from her back, and with the explosive montum she suddenly accelerated, charging straight toward her opponent.
But at that mont, the Light Dragon Breath released by the Lower Dragon suddenly exploded, turning into countless golden specks of light that scattered in every direction. At the sa ti, blue-black bubbles quietly appeared around Bai Xiuxiu’s body. They spun continuously and expanded outward with her at the center.
The blue-black bubbles collided with the golden light particles and burst silently. In an instant, the golden light dissipated while the bubbles vanished one after another. However, a large patch of deep-blue radiance remained suspended in the air, steadily lowering the temperature within the arena.
This was the advantage of dual attributes.
Your light attribute might be able to resist my darkness attribute, but it cannot neutralize my ice attribute attacks. Naturally, attacks that combine two attributes are far more powerful than those with only one.
At this mont, Bai Xiuxiu had already reached the space directly above the light dragon.
The light dragon suddenly raised its upper body, and brilliant golden light burst from its head, forming a barrier that enveloped its entire body. This was a defensive ability—Holy Light Shield.
Ding—
A crisp sound rang out as the dragon spear struck the shield, piercing a small hole through it. From the puncture point, purple-black light instantly spread outward.
Even Bai Xiuxiu herself was slightly surprised. Although her opponent was only a Lower Dragon, the energy contained in that shield was not weak at all.
She had originally prepared a chain of combat techniques, but she hadn’t expected a single strike to break through the opponent’s defense. That was the inherent power of the dragon spear itself.
A powerful stream of energy surged continuously from the Divine Dragon Armor into Bai Xiuxiu’s body. Now that she had pierced the opponent’s shield, how could she possibly miss such a perfect opportunity?
Death Withering erupted across a wide area in an instant, forcefully suppressing the golden light and aura of light around the dragon’s head. The shield shattered abruptly. The light Lower Dragon let out a long cry as two beams of golden light shot out from its eyes.
Bai Xiuxiu lowered her head slightly. Deep-blue light shot out from her own eyes, tinged with a faint trace of purple.
At that mont, the power of her bloodline erupted. The Dragon Force that Lan Xuanyu had previously infused into her body rged with her bloodline and was released instantly.
The golden light dissipated.
The light Lower Dragon suddenly felt a sharp stabbing pain in its mind. In the next instant, an intense chill spread throughout its entire body, freezing it solid. This was an ice seal infused with both darkness and ice attributes.
“Boom—!”
The ice seal exploded imdiately afterward as Deep Blue Gaze detonated. The golden light that had just begun to bloom across the dragon’s scales was instantly shattered by the icy explosion.
Because Bai Xiuxiu knew that the opponent’s light attribute excelled at defense, she deliberately gave it no chance to recover.
She spun once in midair, and the dragon spear struck toward the back of the dragon’s head. Instead of stabbing into it, however, the spear slid across the back of its skull, sending golden scales flying and leaving behind a long wound.
Twisting her body, icy waves surged once again as she soared back into the air.
The victor had already been decided.
“Thank you, my lady, for showing rcy.”
Enduring the intense pain, the light Lower Dragon respectfully bowed to Bai Xiuxiu. If that spear had pierced the back of its head earlier, it would have died on the spot. Although the referee would never allow such a fatal strike, Bai Xiuxiu’s restraint still greatly increased the light dragon’s favorable impression of the stunning young woman.
Bai Xiuxiu descended gracefully, folded her dragon wings, and nodded slightly.
She and Lan Xuanyu had now achieved two consecutive victories. Only one more elimination match remained—if they passed it, they would advance to the round-robin stage.
As for Bai Xiuxiu’s performance, the Higher Dragons showed little reaction.
To them, it was perfectly normal for a Higher Dragon to defeat an inferior one. Moreover, they could sense that Bai Xiuxiu’s own energy strength was not particularly outstanding among the Higher Dragons participating in this tournant.
Bai Xiuxiu returned to Lan Xuanyu’s side.
Huang Yuanlang was about to step onto the stage when Zhang Liangruixiao beside him blocked his path.
Several other Higher Dragons walked into the arena.
Huang Yuanlang imdiately beca irritated.
“Why are you blocking ?”
Zhang Liangruixiao shot him a disdainful glance.
“Face is sothing you earn yourself. Who do you think you are, trying to fight before us? Go line up at the back. Don’t you agree, Your Highness?”
His last sentence was directed at Lan Xuanyu, his expression instantly becoming sowhat fawning.
Lan Xuanyu ignored him and instead looked at Huang Yuanlang.
“Brother Huang, Xiuxiu and I will head back to rest first. I wish you an easy victory.”
Huang Yuanlang felt sowhat helpless. Naturally, he hoped Lan Xuanyu and Bai Xiuxiu would stay and watch his match, but he also knew he didn’t have that much influence. He could only nod.
“Alright.”
Under the watchful eyes of the many contestants, Lan Xuanyu led Bai Xiuxiu down from the Rising Dragon Platform and flew toward their residence.
As the two flew through the air, Bai Xiuxiu said,
“The power you injected into earlier—was that Dragon Force? It was incredibly pure. My bloodline has been boiling ever since, and even now it still feels like it’s burning.”
Lan Xuanyu replied,
“That power was fed back to by the Rising Dragon Platform. It should be extrely pure Dragon Force, perfect for cultivation. When we get back, we should refine it as soon as possible—the results should be quite good.”
Bai Xiuxiu nodded thoughtfully.
“You’re right. This Rising Dragon Competition has helped us a lot. When I fought that Lower Dragon, I felt that my control over my Martial Soul Avatar beca much more flexible. The Divine Dragon Armor and dragon spear are even more effective than I imagined—almost comparable to a Three-Word Battle Armor.”
Lan Xuanyu nodded.
“Moreover, they might even be able to combine with our Battle Armor. But for now we can’t try that, otherwise the powerful dragons might notice.”
When they returned to their residence, Lan Xuanyu did not imdiately begin cultivating. Instead, he asked Bai Xiuxiu to start cultivating first while he quietly slipped away under the concealnt of the Treasure Seeking Beast.
He had been in Rising Dragon City for several days now. It was ti to contact the companions who had also arrived here.
According to the original plan, they were supposed to deal with those dragon creatures that had committed many evil deeds. But because of the special circumstances—and the sudden fa of the “Golden Dragon Princess”—now was not the ti to alert the enemy.
Silver light flickered, and Lan Xuanyu appeared inside an inconspicuous courtyard.
The mont he appeared, a figure rushed out of the room.
When Qian Lei saw that it was Lan Xuanyu, he almost burst out laughing. After coughing once to suppress it, he respectfully said,
“Greetings, Your Highness the Golden Dragon Princess.”
Lan Xuanyu’s mouth twitched.
“You asking for a beating?”
Qian Lei laughed loudly and walked over to him. He originally wanted to give him a hug, but then awkwardly lowered his hands.
“Boss… you’re just too beautiful right now. I almost don’t dare touch you.”
Lan Xuanyu kicked him and sent him stumbling aside.
At this mont, the others also walked out of the room.
Lan Xuanyu pointed inside and walked in first. After closing the door, he released his soul power to prevent outside surveillance.
“Boss, you’re incredibly famous now,” Qian Lei said. “Programs here—kind of like the soul television shows back ho—are constantly talking about you. They say you’re the new idol of Celestial Dragon Planet. So people are even digging into your background. They’ve already exposed your identity as a wild dragon clan mber. That won’t cause any problems, will it?”
