"Phew... that was close." The girl gasped, cold sweat pouring down her forehead. She felt a huge wave of relief.
But just as she relaxed, a loud bang echoed, and the ice sculpture shattered into countless pieces. The snake-like Spirit Beast's eyes were filled with rage. The freeze had only stopped it for a mont, but it hadn't hurt it at all. It lunged again, even faster than before.
"It's over..."
The girl's eyes widened, and her heart sank. Her spiritual power was completely exhausted. She didn't have the strength to fight back. She could only stare blankly as the giant, bloody mouth grew larger and larger in front of her. Her mind went blank, ready to accept her fate.
