There was only one person who could possess such a ring and lead this assault. It was the Supre Pontiff of Spirit Hall herself, Bibi Dong!
"Ruier! Use the Martial Soul Fusion Skill now!" Tang Chen shouted with everything he had. He didn't hesitate for a single second. The mont he saw her, he knew they were in a fight for their lives.
Xiao Ruier gave a quick, firm nod. She and Tang Chen were perfectly in sync. They had fought side by side so many tis that they didn't need words to understand each other. Almost as soon as the shout left his mouth, she was already reaching out. Tang Chen grabbed her hand, and their palms clasped together tightly.
A loud buzz filled the air. A golden light erupted from their joined hands. It was brighter and more solid than anything they had shown when fighting the Demoness before. It looked like a small sun was rising right in front of their carriage. The air began to vibrate with a power so great it felt like the sky and earth were changing colors. The Martial Soul Fusion Skill, Blue Silver Fate Dragon's Chant, was activating once again.
"A Martial Soul Fusion Skill?" Bibi Dong muttered. Her face was hidden under her hood, but her expression shifted. She was confident in her own strength, but she wasn't a fool. She had felt the power of that golden dragon spear earlier when she broke it. She knew these two had incredible potential. She wasn't going to stand by and let them finish their skill. If they fully unleashed it, they might actually beco a threat to her.

These spiders weren't just dangerous because of their numbers or their venom. As they flew through the air, their bodies began to puff up.
They flickered with a strange, unstable light. Bibi Dong was forcing them to self-destruct. She wanted them to explode and spray deadly venom everywhere to stop the fusion process by force.
The golden light and the purple tide were about to crash. The ominous purple glow lood over Tang Chen and Xiao Ruier. It looked like they were about to be swallowed whole.
But then, another buzz echoed out. A golden pillar of light shot up from their hands. It was much bigger and more magnificent than before. This light acted like a solid wall and a holy fla. When the purple spiders hit the gold light, they didn't even get a chance to explode. They made soft hissing sounds and lted away. They were wiped out instantly, turning into wisps of black smoke. Not a single spider could get through.
If anyone looked closely at that noble golden light, they would see sothing extra. There were several multi-colored rays of light swirling around Tang Chen and Xiao Ruier. These rays looked like tiny rainbows, and they made the duo's aura climb even higher.

The multi-colored lights were coming straight from him. He was putting everything he had into supporting the two youngsters.

Its body was full of powerful lines, and though its face was blurred, it gave off an aura of pure majesty. It looked down on everything with disdain.
The giant was wrapped in a golden halo. In its hand, it gripped the golden dragon spear. The weapon looked strong enough to pierce the world itself. It was even more solid than before. Multi-colored light flowed along the spear, making the air around it distort from the sheer sharpness.

"Very well! Let this Supre Pontiff see how much power your fusion skill really has!" Bibi Dong said. She slowly raised both of her hands. Her spirit power began to boil around her like a stormy ocean. Her blood-red hundred thousand year spirit ring glowed with a terrifying light. Her voice carried across the entire battlefield, cold and sharp.
She wasn't holding back anymore. Her seventh spirit ring, which was black and thousands of years old, lit up. A deep black light swallowed her graceful figure.
"Seventh Spirit Ability, Death Spider Emperor True Body!" she cried out.
An evil, cold energy exploded from her. It slled like death and decay. When the light faded, the beautiful Supre Pontiff was gone. In her place stood a giant, hideous monster. Her lower body was now the abdon of a huge spider covered in black hair.
Eight sharp, scythe-like legs held her up. Her upper body still looked sowhat human, but her skin was dark and covered in a hard shell. Her hands were sharp claws, and strange patterns covered her face. Only her eyes were the sa—cold, sharp, and full of a desire to kill.
This was the Death Spider Emperor True Body. It showed the true, evil power of her first martial soul. Her aura surged to a new level.
"I want to see how many hits you can take from today!" Bibi Dong hissed.
She moved with incredible speed. The massive spider monster charged at the golden giant. As she moved, her spirit rings flashed one after another. She was layering her attacks. First, her third spirit ring glowed.
"Third Spirit Ability, Spider Web Restraint!"
She opened her mouth and spat out a huge, purple-black spider web. It was sticky and glowed with a dark light. It spread out like a net to trap the golden giant. The web was full of poison that could lt armor and paralyze enemies. It was also very tough, designed to stop anyone from moving.
Then, her fourth and fifth rings lit up at the sa ti.
"Fourth Spirit Ability, Thorny Spider Armor!"
"Fifth Spirit Ability, Thousand Blades Myriad Shields!"
The black shell on her body beca thick and heavy. Thousands of sharp black spikes grew out of it. The tough, poisonous web didn't stand a chance. Against the sharpness of the golden dragon spear, it lasted only a split second before it was ripped apart. It turned into purple sparks and vanished.
The spear didn't stop there. It kept going, moving straight toward Bibi Dong's spider body. It looked like it was going to pierce right through her.
But just as the tip was about to hit, Bibi Dong made her move.
"Death Spider Emperor Left and Right Arm Bone Skill! Death Scythe!" she shouted.
A deep black light ca from her arms. This wasn't from a spirit ring; it was from her hundred thousand year spirit bones. These bones ca from a Death Spider Emperor she had hunted long ago. It was very rare for one spirit beast to give two bones. These were her secret weapons.
Both of her arms turned into giant black scythes. She was ready to clash with the spear. These scythes could block attacks and then explode to deal massive damage to anyone nearby. She swung them with a lethal intent.
