--- Chapter 303 ---

While being in a state of bliss, Yun Yun wasn't clouded by it because her current condition didn't increase her strength much, and in fact, her realm stayed the sa.

At most, it only improved Yun Yun's efficiency in using her dou techniques and smoothed her Dou Qi circulation, sothing she had not experienced since she first started cultivating.

But this is alright. Yun Yun's current condition is better than anything she has ever felt in the last few decades.

And all this happened because Yun Yun had received Han Yuan's baptism, which cleared her blocked ridians and even improved her already impressive amount of luck.

For any other people in the world, it was a world-changing event, but for Yun Yun, it was like adding wings to a tiger.

"So what if your cultivation improved a little? The Magical Beast's body is still supre! Roar!" The Athyst Winged Lion King roared, charging at Yun Yun with all his might.

Yun Yun's expression imdiately beca serious again. She swung her sword and condensed the surrounding wind with her Dou Qi, turning it into fallen stars that could pierce and cut through nearly anything.

"Extre Wind - Fallen Massacre!"

The fallen stars rushed toward Athyst Winged Lion King, bombarding him with the extre force of wind. This attack caused him many injuries, but none were fatal enough to stop him.

The Athyst Winged Lion King lunged forward and then swung its giant claws at Yun Yun, "Die!"

Yun Yun remained calm, facing these claws, "Flowing Wind - Shield Wings."

The Dou Qi wings behind Yun Yun unfurled as they moved and shielded her with a faint breeze.

BANG! Clank!

A tal-clashing sound echoed in the sky. Even then, Yun Yun's wing shields couldn't protect her completely, and the impact caused by the Athyst Winged Lion King's claws still sent her flying several ters away.

Yun Yun grimaced inwardly, feeling numb in both arms. The crack on her sword also spread more, making the situation more tense.

"This can't keep going..."

"If I continue to take hits, Azure Light is going to break soon."

"And without Azure Light, my attack power is going to weaken."

Azure Light is not just a sword. It is actually a Dou Emperor-level artifact that is both sharp and durable, but also could enhance one's Wind Dou Qi potency and erosion considerably.

Yet, Azure Light can barely enhance Yun Yun's combat prowess to match the Athyst Winged Lion King due to it getting cracked in the previous fight, and once it breaks, the delicate balance between the two of them is going to tip over.

Sure enough, the Athyst Winged Lion King realized the dilemma that Yun Yun had. He thought this shaless Dou Emperor's strength had beco stronger, but the truth is, it was just a last struggle.

So, with that in mind, the Athyst Winged Lion King beca even more aggressive with his offense. Fire beam, body slam, and claw attack were 'naturally' done one after another, ensuring Yun Yun had no chance to run or counterattack.

The more the Athyst Winged Lion King attacked, the more cracks appeared on Yun Yun's sword, which made her expression grim.

And that sight thrilled the Magical Beast.

"Hahaha, die!"

"Die!"

"Die, you shaless human!"

Yun Yun clenched her sword tightly. Every beating she takes makes her heart beat nervously, but she knew she couldn't run from this battle, nor did she want to.

She saw her beloved sword, Azure Light, chipped beyond recognition, and then glanced at the town.

She witnessed so girls fighting against the beast tide, while Ruo Ling evacuated the townspeople.

Finally, she noticed a young man standing on the roof and staring at her calmly.

This young man is Han Yuan, Yun Yun's savior. Yet, what baffled her is the fact that he looks calm, no, nonchalant, as if the chaos around him didn't affect him in the slightest.

Honestly, Yun Yun wanted to yell at this young man, telling him to run away from the town.

Unknown to Yun Yun, this distraction was a fatal mistake, especially in the middle of an intense fight.

The Athyst Winged Lion King took his chance and sneakily launched an attack toward Yun Yun. A purple ball of fla hovered in the air and then travelled at extre speed, leaving a burning trail.

"Not good!" Yun Yun realized her mistake of being dazed in a fight, but it was far too late. She used her defensive technique and put Azure Light in front to protect herself, but all she saw next was her beloved sword shattered into pieces.

Kacha!

BANG! BOOOOOOOOOM!!

Yun Yun was slamd by the purple ball of fla, watching it explode before her very eyes. She unconsciously gritted her teeth because she knew she couldn't dodge this.

Weirdly, even when the explosion happened, Yun Yun didn't get hurt or feel heat from the fireball.

A playful chuckle entered Yun Yun's ears, "You can't be distracted like that, Senior. You could have gotten hurt pretty badly, you know?"

Yun Yun slowly opened her eyes and saw Han Yuan standing before her, having the sa carefree smile he had when she woke up not too long ago.

Regardless, the sight behind Han Yuan is more shocking than his sudden appearance here. After all, a raging purple fla is burning a few inches away from them, but it couldn't advance as a 'faint' wind barrier made of Dou Qi separates them.

The wind barrier continuously rippled, yet didn't show a sign of breaking or being burned by the ferocious purple fla of Athyst Winged Lion King.

"How did you..." Yun Yun asked in disbelief.

Han Yuan shook his head and interrupted her question by saying, "I can't explain much right now. You can think of this as my secret technique, and it is purely defensive."

"What you need to know is that the townspeople evacuated already, and for the most part, we have defeated the beast tide as well."

"So, we should focus more on how to defeat the Athyst Winged Lion King now."

"Are you confident in killing it with your full power?"

Yun Yun hesitated before answering, "If I still have my sword Azure Light, I can definitely kill Athyst Winged Lion King."

"But now that it breaks, I am not confident dealing enough damage to even injure him."

"I see, take this then." Han Yuan put on a thoughtful look and then pulled a green long sword from the Sky Poison Pearl, throwing it at Yun Yun lightly.

Yun Yun caught the sword by its handle and then felt her wind Dou Qi surging wildly. Her eyes widened. "This is..."

"A Dou Emperor artifact?"

"No, it should be a peak-grade Dou Emperor artifact!"

"The sword's na is Soaring Crane Blade, a Dou Emperor artifact my teacher gave ." Han Yuan lied as easily as he breathed. The truth is, this sword is just one of many decent treasures he could have found in the Misty Mountain Range's treasure room.

While Soaring Crane Blade is 'only' a Dou Emperor artifact, its raw material is actually one rank higher than that, and because the skill of the person who made it is low, the quality regresses.

At first, Han Yuan planned to reforge this sword. However, he already had Lightning's On and other weapons, not to ntion that he rarely uses a sword or blade alike.

Even though the Heavenly Judgent Art, a Divine Art left behind by the Thunder God, also contained the sword technique, Han Yuan prefers using a spear more.

"Soaring Crane Blade is a gift from my teacher, but I don't use the sword much. Please use it well, Senior." Han Yuan said casually.

Yun Yun was speechless, "You..."

Why did she feel Han Yuan held contempt for this powerful artifact in her hand?

It is a peak-grade Dou Emperor artifact!

Even Yun Yun's master, the previous Sect Leader of Misty Cloud Sect, and other Dou Emperor powerhouses could only dream of owning such an artifact.

Yun Yun was very sure that those Dou Emperors would switch their dou techniques on a heartbeat if they had the Soaring Crane Blade.

What? Is it a sword?

Who said I can't learn how to use a sword?!

"Senior, we can't afford to dilly-dally. The lion is coming!" Han Yuan said while pulling Yun Yun into his embrace, dodging the furious Athyst Winged Lion King.

"Roar! Another human! I will kill you, too!" The Athyst Winged Lion King glared at Han Yuan.

Yun Yun snapped back to reality and blushed because she slled Han Yuan's scent. It was pleasant, she had to admit that.

Then, she separated herself from Han Yuan and clenched the Soaring Crane Blade, saying, "With this, we can definitely beat the Athyst Winged Lion King."

"Good, then leave the defense to ," Han Yuan chuckled faintly in response. "Just focus on attacking, Senior."

"Got it!" Yun Yun calmly gazed at the Athyst Winged Lion King with newfound confidence.

Yun Yun doesn't know why, but being with Han Yuan gave her a warm reassurance that she can win this fight.

No, she felt like she could do anything!
