--- Chapter 430 ---
"I understand that, but I couldn't help you if you don't hand the ti-jumping tool," Han Yuan feigned to Ye Ziyun's epic speech and waved his hand before her. "I need to analyze its property properly before deciding my next move."
The tense and solemn atmosphere instantly turns into an oddly deafening silence.
"..." Ye Ziyun and others were speechless.
"You, whatever, even if I fail this ti, I can reset once more..." Ye Ziyun struggled before eventually sighing in acceptance and then reaching into her sleeve, retrieving a small icy-white pearl exuding a grayish hue that is temporal mist.
Even then, Ye Ziyun didn't hand the icy-white pearl right away and gaze at those silver eyes of Han Yuan like they owed her money.
"Here." Still, the 'Snow Empress' sighed and handed the pearl.
"Thank you, I will borrow this for a few minutes." Han Yuan took the item with a smile. Yes, he grabbed it casually like an everyday item one could borrow anyti, which left others more speechless.
Any other Spirit Engineers would likely cry out of joy if they ever got their hand on Ye Ziyun's ti-jumping tool, yet here, Han Yuan treats it like an amusing pebble.
After all, the ti-jumping tool is an unprecedented Spirit Guidance Tool that shattered the common sense and realm of cultivation. Calling the ungraded god-level Spirit Guidance Tool wouldn't be wrong either.
As Han Yuan raised the icy-white pearl above his eyes, watching through its glimr and beauty, he discovered many interesting things about this ti-jumping tool.
The size is very deceptive because the whole 'pearl' uses a space-folding core array that packs a city-sized array into this small thing.
Yup, you heard that right, a city-sized array. That's a few hundred square kiloters of space. So, strictly speaking, the 'pearl' is actually a storage tool with a super-massive dinsion inside.
Although not comparable to the infinitely growing inner dinsion space of the Sky Poison Pearl, it is noteworthy.
The compressed arrays that manipulate space is one thing, but Han Yuan is more interested in the fact that the super-sized array within the pearl isn't actually a ti-jumping array.
It's an anchor, more precisely, a ti anchor.
The array allowed one's very spirit to travel back and forth between their 'initial' point and the anchored tifra, allowing ti travel, or, in Ye Ziyun's case, ti jumping into the future.
Once Ye Ziyun interacted with others, they were also influenced by this 'anchor,' thus allowing them to jump back into the past.
However, just like Ye Ziyun, the 'anchor' only pulled their spirits, and not their physical bodies.
So, the 'pearl' wasn't ant to travel between tis in the first place. It was to observe the 'future' and 'present' through a fragile line that could snap at any given ti.
Of course, this misconception didn't happen without reason.
Snow Empress and Ye Ziyun were one person at one point, but the latter ceased to exist in the cruel battle for Glory City's survival, allowing the forr to beco a 'spirit beast' born from heaven and earth.
This connection is an intertwining line that allowed this 'ti jumping' to happen in this scenario.
Unfortunately, just as White-Eyed Phoenix Lord said, Ye Ziyun's spirit was on the verge of dissipating. Her possession of Snow Empress is the only thing that keeps this 'ti jumping' apart.
That last jump Ye Ziyun ntioned is rely a facade, hiding the fact that she couldn't do anything beyond natural order, or she would dissipate even faster from this world.
It is not just an assumption, but a dread ending Ye Ziyun internalized and realized for herself. She just hasn't told anyone about this matter, yes, not even her closest confidants.
After all, Ye Ziyun didn't just carry a burden and responsibility. She carried the fate of Glory City, and if we think about it more, the very future of the Douluo Continent.
In fact, this might be the reason why the Heavenly Snow Maiden of the Extre North, especially Snow Empress, possessed such a strong providence, fortune of all living beings.
"Sigh, carrying fortune also ans carrying its karma," Han Yuan mumbled while shaking his head. "You have gone through a lot, City Lord Ye."
"Here, take your Ti Anchoring Pearl back."
"I am, wait, how did you know the na of the tool-!" Ye Ziyun caught the icy-white pearl back, but froze when she heard Han Yuan uttering its na, although she had never told him.
Han Yuan smiled faintly as he pointed at his silver eyes, "My eyes can see many things, one of them is the purest essence of the world, or in another world, truth."
"Even though the Ti Anchoring Pearl is a complex Spirit Guidance Tool, and you can even call it a Divine Artifact to a certain degree, its essence is just that of a storage tool and anchoring into space and ti beyond one's ti."
"And thanks to it, I have decided my next move."
"Simply put, it is simple. I am going to open a hole, tear the space-ti barrier with my power, and then let soone 'unbound' by rules stay in the Glory City."
"After that?" The Ice Empress couldn't help but frown.
"After that, we watch." Han Yuan shrugged casually.
"That's it?" A vein popped on the Ice Empress's forehead. She clenched her fist and glared at Han Yuan unkindly.
"Yup, that's it," Han Yuan nodded, giving off this annoying vibe. "What City Lord Ye needed isn't so complicated plan, but a powerhouse that can bust through a divine-level powerhouse and plane invasion."
"Well, at least until Glory City has enough ti to survive."
"Given the Glory City situation, its end is nearing."
"That's why they needed to relocate, fast."
"Of course, if we do that, we will create a new branch of the tiline and cause our own future to be dood."
"That's why I need the Heavenly Snow Maiden to seal the Glory City in frost intact in the Extre North, forever keeping it in our history without making any changes."
"The people can survive, but they cannot return to the Douluo Continent afterward."
"Cannot return..." Ye Ziyun seed able to guess what Han Yuan's plan is, but is still unsure about the whole thing. "For how long exactly?"
"At least, for a short ti. Can you accept that?" Han Yuan gazed straight into Ye Ziyun's eyes, which were icy-purple, unlike Snow Empress's icy blue eyes.
"Think about it first."
"You see it yourself, the Glory City didn't last in the future."
"You can always rebuild a city, but not the people who live and carry its spirit."
These lines struck Ye Ziyun's cold heart hard. After all, what she wanted to protect was not rely the Glory City, but the last remaining survivors of the city. They have suffered too much and deserve peace at last.
Ye Ziyun gazed back at those silver eyes again and replied, "How sure are you that your plan is going to work?"
"My plan? 99%!" Han Yuan replied confidently.
"Why not 100% then!" The Ice Empress grumbled in disbelief.
Han Yuan shook his head gently and replied, "There is no such thing as a 100% guarantee in this world."
"Nothing is going to work as you initially planned because that would be arrogance, not confidence."
"By then, once you fail that, you can only grieve and watch things crumble around you hopelessly."
"What is the 1%?" Ye Ziyun frowned, clearly agreeing with Han Yuan's fair statent.
Han Yuan raised his finger, "A variable, the kind that I dislike the most, especially in this scenario."
"To save the Glory City, I might have to fight a Godking-level powerhouse in the worst possible outco."
"Of course, that is just one of the possibilities. We don't know for sure if Godking would really descend."
'I really hope he will...' He indifferently added. Deep within his heart is a sizzling onyx-colored spark that could ignite into a raging fla at any mont.
